a continuous thrum [o, joining] - VENUS C. - 03-30-2022 Black paws pattered softly against metallic railroad tracks as a lone figure made its way along a strip of land. The multi-colored feline was headed to a destination it had forgotten the name of, tail tip twitching and a bored expression present on its face. While it was probably important to the apex inhabitants of this island, the one that identified itself as Venus could give less of a shit. All it really cared about was whether they had booze and a warm bed for it sleep in, two things it really needed right about now. It had been days since Venus had had a good drink, and the demi-god had been sober for far too long- not that it absolutely needed to be hammered to function, but some alcohol would be nice. Drugs would be a plus, but again, not a necessity. From word of mouth, it had heard that this place it was headed to had a bar- a real bar! Unlike that ass-smelling swamp place Venus had called home before that had nothing of the sort at all. Even the thought of having to trod through that disease ridden sludge water one more time made its skin crawl beneath its layer of dark blue fur. It wasn’t long before Venus found itself at a railroad gate, a giant bell just asking to be rung hanging above. Well, wasn’t this interesting. Taking hold of the rope hanging just inches from them, the feline gave it a strong tug, causing the bell to erupt in a symphony of rings. Certainly that wouldn’t attract any negative attention, right? Now that Venus thought of it, maybe ringing that thing wasn’t the best idea if these people weren’t friendly. In fact, if it remembered correctly, someone told it pirates lived here. Oh well- if it needed to use its venomous fangs for a quick getaway, it would do so. the road i walk is paved in gold to glorify my platinum soul

The incessant ringing that they had to attend to when someone came along and rang it. He also hated the sight and smell of that rotting corpse head of that former Kingpin. Stryker if he remembered correctly. What was the point of having it up there? It was disgusting, it was sludging down the gate and bring with it the smell of rot and hoards of flies. They would do well with getting rid of it and it was something he would bring up to Morrison soon. Besides whatever point that was made happened over two years ago so there was no reason to keep it. It was like mostly showing bone...maybe. Regardless the water clad being would make his way to the gate, white gaze passive as he looked at the one that had run the bell. For a moment he didn't speak and then he finally let out a huff. Water churred and shifted across his body as he thought through his words carefully. "Alright, I'm assuming you know where you are. The Typhoon. So what do you need here?" The usual, the norm. Asking strangers for their purpose here and then moving on. Still he was curious to some degree on what this creature could want. Though the most obvious answer may be to join and take up some space here. Hopefully to be useful. Re: a continuous thrum [o, joining] - VENUS C. - 04-11-2022 In all honesty, it hadn't even noticed the stench of rotting flesh. Perhaps it was because Venus was used to the smell, as it was the same scent that clung to it's father's pelt sometimes when he would stumble home in a drunk stupor. While the memories were starting to become fuzzy with time, Venus would never forget his piece of shit DNA donator- it was hard to do so when he would raise his claws and bare his fangs at both them and their mother almost on the daily. Ah well, that was the past, right? There was no sense in dwelling on it now, especially not now since there was someone waiting on him to answer. Staring up at the maned wolf, there was a tint of curiosity in Venus' blue and yellow eyes. It had only ever seen one of his breed once before this, but it couldn't really reflect on that encounter right now, as it wasn't very family friendly. "Oh is that what this dump is called? Good to know." The hybrid would sneer in a joking tone, hoping the typhooner wouldn't take much offense. Was it playing with fire? Potentially, yes, but that was its specialty. "I'm Venus. Just looking for a place to crash, and this place seemed the best out of all of em'. Hope that's ok." It said casually, taking a moment to lick one of its ash colored paws. Even if foxy over here said no, it would probably stop by this place to get a drink every now and then- assuming they didn't claw its ears off for stepping foot on their shores. the road i walk is paved in gold to glorify my platinum soul
