Dirty Little Alibis Playing on Repeat - Saturn's Funeral - Byriath - 05-22-2021

To set things straight, Byriath hated funerals. Whenever one was held for soldiers He never said anything. But now, he was going to hold a funeral for someone. Which, by the by, made the whole thing ten times worse. But the lioness sighed, looking into the hole she had dug for Saturn. She felt that Saturn would've liked to be buried next to their garden, so Byria was going to do just that.
Flowers dotted the snow leopard's body, most from Byria's personal garden. Vines had begun to cling to the sides of the hole, at if wanting to make a soft bed for the late Thane. "Coalition! Gather before me for Saturn's Funeral." She called out, sounding controlled. She sounded calm and collected. Though it probably wouldn't last for long.

Vague is the notion of grief within Anthemtalon's mind. He doesn't understand funerals in the full extent; he doesn't understand why they are burying someone that was a friend, when it was a perfectly good source of food. Regardless, he'd already gotten whacked on the snout during an NPC's funeral, and the komodo monitor tended to be quick when realizing what was considered acceptable (after likely already doing the unacceptable prior).
He quite liked Saturn. They'd done mud wallowing together, and Anthem couldn't recall the other scolding him or being angry at him all that often; not that the lizard really minded those things, for it was hard to hurt the feelings of the lizard that barely had any to begin with. He shuffled over, looking at the flowers from where he kept a fair distance away. Not sure what exactly to do during the funeral proceedings, the komodo monitor laid down as he watched and waited.

Aphra had never particularly liked Saturn, however she knew that they had a special bond with Byriath - and despite her personal feelings, she knew that Byriath was a vulable asset to the Coalition. He was their only Guru, someone who actually knew how to heal (that Aphra knew of) and as such, they couldn't bear to lose him at this moment. At the lioness's call, Aphra came over - though if Byriath didn't wish her to attend and asked her to leave, she would.

The Guru was going to need as much emotional help as could be provided, and while Angel wasn't too confident in the whole feelings thing for most of the Coalition, made up mostly of adults who needed a drink and a break, and children. Some of those children even needed a drink and a break. The jaguar cub on the other hand, he thought he was fine. Stable enough, an unusual ability to handle other's breakdowns and misery at the grand old age of 5 months. Yeesh.
