THIS IS WAR ; injuries - MAUDE P. - 05-07-2021

Re: THIS IS WAR ; injuries - Casphian - 05-07-2021

Saturn had grown accustomed to Maude’s random disappearances after the first few times, their child squally coming back in one piece. But they always seemed to worry about Maude, as it was just in their nature to worry and fret over everyone they cared about. And so when the stench of blood filled their nose the closer they got to the child it caused a bit of panic to snake through their veins and hasten their speed of walking. “Maude are you alright? I smell blood clinging to your scent,” they asked as they finally drew closer to the scent. An ear flicked at the sound of something tearing, the deer’s own scent finally breaking past the other ones. The snow leopard padded closer to Maude, head lowering slightly as their tail flicked behind them. “Are you wounded? If so we need to get you to Byr so he can treat them and I’m not taking no for an answer.”

Re: THIS IS WAR ; injuries - ARVID R. - 05-10-2021

It was not a huge surprise to Arvid that Maude wasn't exactly the "self preservation" type. Even if he hadn't known her for long, the snorting feline – or canine, depending on what form she took – didn't exactly seem the type to go patching injuries, or go running back home to mommy. Thus, when the scent of blood and Maude was on the air, the canine didn't feel particularly concerned. In fact, he mainly felt more worried for whatever Maude had managed to get in her jaws this time. Unfortunately, Saturn's soft nature drew them over before long, and that ended up drawing over Arvid as well. Mainly because he liked to keep an eye on Saturn. While he knew his father figure was far from completely defenseless, Saturn was still a lot more soft and kindhearted than most of those within the Coalition. That also made him a prime target for some of the more brutal members of the group. Not that Arvid honestly thought Maude would hurt Saturn – they had taken her in, after all. He just... liked to be sure.

With his fluffy tail flicking behind him, Arvid came to a seat nearby, looking Maude over curiously. His head tilted to one side before he spoke up, his words directed at Saturn, "Yeah, she's injured. I don't see anything major, just a few scrapes and bruises, but I'm also not a medic." That was much more Byriath's field of expertise, as Saturn had already pointed out. The scientist's next words were then directed towards Maude, his gaze faintly gleaming as he eyed the buck Maude had returned with, "Nice catch, Maude." He seemed slightly envious, wondering if he could go out and grab himself such a creature, without the use of poisons – since that would essentially defeat the purpose of it for food. He probably could, it would just take a lot more effort on his part. A soft sigh left the canine at this realization, his mind already drifting. He didn't seem all that concerned about Maude, but that was mainly because Maude didn't seem all that concerned about her injuries, either.

Re: THIS IS WAR ; injuries - angelembrace - 05-10-2021

"Best of luck getting her to stay still long enough to be fussed over, Saturn." Angelembrace responded to the snow leopard's instruction to go see Byr with a small shake of his head and amused smile. Maude's behavior had been noted, even if the two had not crossed paths enough for Angel to get a proper opinion settled on the goddess, but from what he did have he could safely say that Maude made him feel rather...afraid? Intimidated? He wasn't quite sure yet, because it was a new feeling and Angel was rather pathetically ignorant to his own internalized emotions. A way to strike him down with a terrible fault, the irony of living out your life searching for answers everywhere else but couldn't even differentiate between negative emotions from the inside that wasn't anger or blatant disgust. Which he only had a grasp on because he learned them from his mother.

The hunt itself was mostly disinteresting, it wasn't as if he had little faith that someone like Maude could and would bring down large prey, and he wasn't too fascinated by brutal blood and gore when the thing was already dead. However, the antlers caught his attention for one reason or another, and Angel tilted his head. "What do you plan on using those for?" Armor? Weaponry? General home decor? There were plenty of uses for antler bone he supposed.
