IT'S A MEAN WORLD ☆ easter feast - michael t. - 04-04-2021

ALL I FOUND THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SPACES
STANDING IN THE NOTHING, AND TIME RECLAIMS YOU
The feast. The last of the Easter events, and arguably the hardest one to prepare. Sure, the Easter egg hunt had been pretty arduous, considering Michael had to travel around the entire territory to hide eggs, but at least that didn't involve cooking. Thankfully, the dealer hadn't actually been involved in most of the cooking for the feast. When he had asked those in the tavern about cooking some stuff for it, they had agreed and pretty much ushered him out, knowing full well how garbage the thief actually was at cooking. This meant that, instead of having to worry about preparing the actual meal, he needed to worry about setting up. Said process was easier said than done, however, considering he was working mostly on his own. In order to make things easier for himself, he had shifted once more into his coyote form, figuring that the increased strength and height of the body would be useful.

He spent the majority of the day just moving things around, really. The first step was setting up the massive table for the meal up on the beach, and then finding a tablecloth for it. And then taping down said tablecloth, considering he didn't trust the wind not to make it go flying. Then he began to set up various little Easter decorations, such as pastel colored balloons that he had managed to dig up out of one of the abandoned huts. He even made little gifts for the guests that would be coming. They were relatively small, consisting only of some chocolate treats and pretty seashells, but hopefully they would be appreciated. Once all that was done, he began the slow process of transferring all the food from the tavern to the feast table, moving over everything in small groups so that nothing would be dropped. It took a while, but he was fairly sure everyone would appreciate the feast. At least... he hoped they did, considering the amount of work he had put into it.

Once everything was finally set up, Michael hopped up onto one of the seats, his long tail coming to rest over his paws. He turned and shouted, trying to get everyone's attention, "It's time for the Easter feast, everyone! Tanglewood and The Palm Glades are gonna be joining us as guests, so I'd recommend you get over here before all the food is gone!" The dealer then turned and set his chin on his paws, a sigh of relief leaving him. The food that was spread all over looked delicious, particularly the main course of the meal, the ham, and he was incredibly glad for that. Now, they could all just enjoy a good feast, and hopefully avoid any issues. He was wary about inviting both Tanglewood and The Palm Glades, but Roxie had insisted, considering they were both allies. All he could hope was that no fighting would break out.

Vayne had no idea of the relationship between Tanglewood and The Palm Glades and given her super outgoing personality, the girl was excited that there was going to be a lot of people coming around. This feast was the best part of the Easter activities in her personal opinion so as soon as Michael announced that the feast was ready, Vayne was quick to make her way over, shaking the sand from her fur a few ways away so it wouldn't get everywhere.

"You didn't put anything nasty in these, did you?" Vayne teased as she took a seat across from Michael, sticking her tongue out playfully at him. She was referring to him sneaking some sort of spicy condiment into the food, or alcohol into one of the drinks, though that was mostly just her trying to play around more than an actual concern she had.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

"Tanglewood and the Palm Glades?" Danny asked, voice cracking midway from the sudden stress he appeared to be under. Or maybe it was just the leftover damage from his injury acting up, there was no real way to tell. Although, two different groups nestling in for the Easter meal next to everyone that was going to be here shoulder to shoulder with the Typhoon made him an ungodly level of nervous. He had enough trouble as it was sometimes still with just the Typhoon, two more entire groups, or at least the members that made the trip, was like getting kicked while he was down. But he had an obligation to make an appearance to something like this, partially because he was one of only two Privateers and he had responsibilities, and mostly because Michael put in so much effort and that would be so, so rude. Although, that ham did look really tasty.

The wolf found himself gravitating towards Vayne, as usual, which he told himself was just because he needed to hide behind someone far more outgoing for security. A little laugh left him despite his worries, shaking his head jokingly. Not that he didn't expect Michael to pull something like that, but perhaps pranks should be reserved for times that weren't this, but a culinary Russian Roulette would have made for a fun group activity to pass some time when there was nothing else to do. "Good question."
