crime of chaos - lost trespasser - RAVENWOOD - 03-19-2021

He was a little far from home.

Well, what he was calling home anyways. The Coalition had been nothing but kind, but in this case, he needed some time. The tension between Aphra and Inferno with the children around, and Sojourn having passed out and in a bad shape, he needed time to himself. So he decided to take a little trip away from home and.. quickly lost his way. He didn't know where he was, walking about the coast until he passing a gate, walking on railroads.

It brought him to a rather tropical climate. His eyes swept side to the side, nose twitching and ears rotating. See, Ravenwood had little idea that he was trespassing, and that much more that he was trespassing on enemy's land. He had no interactions with either of the Coalition's targets since he had arrived. His stomach started to turn, suddenly and quickly. The wolf's head lifted, quickly looking around with wide eyes.

Vayne had no idea where her mother had gone off to after she had fled from The Typhoon after attempting to bring Vayne with her. She also had no idea that Inferno went after Aphra, just that her littermate had left sometime after Rhinestonestar had visited. But of course, that's not what brought the Beta to Ravenwood, trying to hide in the sparce grass in the distance, her ears pinned back as she watched him with curiosity.

She had no idea who the Coalition was, or well... she had no idea what they smelled like. Of course Vayne knew the damage they had done, with The Typhoon and the other groups, but she had yet to actually meet a Coalition member. As such, the Cipher spawn had no way of suspecting Ravenwood was an enemy. Eventually, the apprentice decided to reveal herself and came bounding forward. "You looking for something, Sir?" She chirped, tilting her head as she came over towards Ravenwood.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

STANDING IN THE NOTHING, AND TIME RECLAIMS YOU
Ravenwood had made a rather horrible mistake, even if he didn't yet know it. Trespassing on any enemy's land was generally a bad idea, but especially in this scenario. The last time Michael had encountered a trespassing Wanderer had been a while ago. In the end, the trespassing Coalition member hadn't left the encounter alive, utterly drained of blood and nearly torn apart. However, that had been only a couple of days after The Typhoon had finally managed to beat back the Coalition's forces. Needless to say, tensions had been high. That wasn't to say that the dealer felt any remorse over his former actions. No, he still believed he had done the right thing, considering the Wanderer had been one of the bastards involved in hurting his family, and his home. What it did mean, though, was that there was more of a chance for mercy from the bobcat, this time.

Even if he wasn't immediately in the mood to attack, that didn't stop Michael from wearing a grim and snarling expression as he approached. Reaching out, he aimed to wrap a paw around Vayne's chest, trying to pull her back and closer to him. As he did so, he muttered softly to her, voice firm, "Vayne... no. You smell that on the air? That's the scent of the Coalition. This guy is bad news, trust me." With that, he then turned his attention to Ravenwood, mismatched gaze narrowed. He hissed in a menacing tone, short tail twitching and lashing behind him, "And you. You're trespassing on the lands of The Typhoon, so I recommend you turn tail and run while you've still got the chance. We don't allow Coalition members here." Honestly, the other was just lucky that Vayne and Michael had been the first ones to show, rather than someone more harsh. He dreaded to think of what would've happened if Roxie had been the first to arrive, considering her especially... set in stone policy when it came to Coalition members.

To inhale that scent in the air set the tiny wildcat's fur bristling.  Sightless hues darkening.  Ears flat against her skull as she stalked forward, indifferent to any size difference.  Indifferent to whether Ravenwood knew what he was doing or didn't.  He shouldn't be here.

"You won't be told twice."  The petite dealer certainly didn't plan on giving him more than one warning.  She doubted someone else would.  He was lucky it was Vayne and Michael first.  And Keona was certainly tiny, but she carried the ocean within her.  She wouldn't hesitate if he made a wrong move.

The Coalition didn't deserve any mercy, as far as she felt.  They'd been relatively quiet but not entirely gone.  Blood on their paws.  Keona's tail lashed to the side.

[align=center][div style="font-family: georgia; font-size: 11.5px; width: 340px; text-align: justify; line-height:120%"]A time once simple, unburdened shoulder grown tense beneath accumulated weight when all was softened beneath the sheen of innocence. Understood now naivety that which painted all with a rosen hue, allowed too long, peeled back when too far had it all gone, cruelty in a wake up call ringing through each moment even as the years whittled down the memories. Eased in part his heart, tempered his conflict with pitiful scraps of information, the prolonged existence of his once home in some fashion a reprieve. Nothing may last for too long a time, however, expected yet against the downfall that lay just upon the horizon.

Within no uncertain terms informed it had come to pass. Meagre the use of words being softened, careful their deliberation and use, messenger he could not rage against even as the wish burrowed deep. Basic his understanding, that gathered prior to that instance where talk and stilled and bitter grown a once calm atmosphere, enough it.

No true purpose dictated the direction in which he walked, wanting only a chance that may clear his head, lost his thoughts within a dense fog, exhaustion pulling at unravelling threads. Such his downfall, or it may have been fortune was kind, loose grains falling away, dense the well packed soil he traversed, brushed against by the undergrowth. Distance further closing, each step loose, nothing there but the simmering heat. His stomach clenched and rolled, sickness without cause, nausea begun for too deep had he dug through reconstructed memories.

Such inexcusable, yet could not be halted. A comfort was in it even as it acted as plentiful fuel, too much blood spilt by a single individual, twisted and broken down, made into what he might never be simply because he was a coward.

Voices. Forth ears swivelled, head rising without conscious thought, peered into the dappled light and shade that encased thick vegetation. Known this place, though often avoided for the tracks lay too close, taken along by what was thought his only family, expanded a tally that was once only two. Gut twisted, knots forming as he swallowed his apprehension. He knew them, though first lost the name was not, heart rising until lodged firmly in the base of his throat. Too many harmed while he had been idle, hers a name he refused to see act as addition to the list.

Closer Harland stepped, unsure at first until words registered, clear the spat title, stilled his momentum for a time. Coalition. Spoken of those beneath that banner, those who had ravaged a land he once loved, stole it and desecrated what little memory was left of his home. Rage filled the empty hollow of his chest, carved grooves through his heart, burning agony voiced in hoarse hiss bypassing clenched teeth. Silenced as scene was entered, voice dwindly, war raged between his anger and alarm across his countenance.

Vayne, the child stolen away and abandoned, one he cared for against his own better wishes. Away vision moving, looked to the intruder, a fool supposedly bearing a desire to end his pitiful existence here, or maybe just an idiot. His anger quelled some small degree for he bore no wish to subject Vayne to that which populated his thoughts his steps drew him to Michael, at his side halting. Too close the proximity, enough almost felt his dark coat against his side with each breath, the proximity calming and thus maintained.

That 'maybe just an idiot' was probably right on spot.

Ravenwood's ears twitched and shifted as Vayne appeared. His gut settled at the words that she spoke- they weren't in hostility, so maybe he wasn't on enemy lands. Ravenwood cleared his throat, the dappled wolf opening his mouth to speak. As he did, he caught another scent- another few scents on the ear, and his face turned worried. But he spoke anyways, "Yeah, I.. my way home. I really don't know where I am.

But as more people arrived, it became clear and obvious this is somewhere he shouldn't be. Even though it was completely not his fault that his raft floated him to the Coalition instead of the Typhoon. Ravenwood didn't even have any hand in the Coalitions attacks, their ravaged war, any of that. He was caught in the thick of it, he supposed. His fur slowly raised, standing on end, ears lowering. However, being accused of something he didn't do.. well. That left a sour taste in Raven's mouth.

"You let them go, didn't you?" Deep green eyes stared him down, standing taller then him. They ached with some kind of feral anger, and Ravenwood couldn't let that go. His eyes adverted, looking down and his shoulders buckling under the weight of this ferocity. His belly was brushing the ground, tail between his legs. "I didn't do anything of the sort, D-Da-" His eyes flinched as he spoke. [i]"Don't call me that! You aren't my son. I can't believe this." The much larger wolf turned his head, stepping away.[/i]

Ravenwood bit his lip, but his anger got the best of him. "Listen- I don't even know what you guys have against each other, but I'm not someone's footstool for war. I'm no pawn. He stated. He didn't step forward, or backwards- mostly because Ravenwood already forgot the way out of her. Maybe. He thought it was behind him, but the world was starting to spin. He felt dizzy. I didn't have a choice. It was either join them or get eaten, and all I want is someone to tell me the way back to.. that place." He tucked his chin down, for a long moment.

Ravenwood's eyes watched the three angrier members step onto the scene, and he looked back towards Vayne. "Please, you have to believe me. I don't.. I don't belong there. Or here. I don't know anymore." The strain in his voice was obvious. He looked exhausted.

The tension in the air was quickly shifting, Vayne felt it before Michael came to the scene, pushing her back and closer to him. The Beta opened her mouth to object, until Michael started talking. Keona and Harland came next, seemingly sharing Michael's anger towards this stranger. The pleading look in Ravenwood's eyes as he looked at her made her heart hurt and she mewed, "I think he's telling the truth... I don't really think he's bad." Of course, she didn't think Aphra was bad either at first.

But there was a difference. Aphra was clearly a threat since the beginning and Vayne had just thought it was actually something all mothers did, until Aphra finally let her and her littermates out of their home. Ravenwood on the other hand, truly looked like he was lost.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Re: crime of chaos - lost trespasser - ROXANNE R. - 03-25-2021

One policy. She had one fucking policy, was it that hard for anyone to fucking remember instead of entertaining conversation with the enemy. The Coalition pissed her off and she didn't wish for any of them to be on her beaches, kill on sight she had told them all that meeting after the raid. How hard was that? Once she had caught the scent of that dreaded, horrid shithole of a group from where she laid on the beach did the captain rise to her paws without hesitation. Her tail lashing to the sides as she spoke approaching the group that was gathered there "Aw man, did I forget to bring the tea set and play some slow jazz for the occasion?" Her pupils narrowed into dangerous slits as her claws unsheathed slowly with a shake of her head "Or did everyone fucking forget what the fuck I said that one meeting? If that's the case, I don't think anyone would've passed the question worth a million dollars!"

Without much of another word, the captain shifted into a large draconic beast until her wings would spread out as a hiss slipped from her maw. She towered over everyone that was there only to take a step forward "I thought I made it clear that I didn't want any CoCC members stinking up the place. My beach specifically. You know what happened to the last lovely couple that decided to come here and start shit? One hangs on my gates like some shitty tinsel ring and the other was ripped in two." Using a talon would she pick at her sharp teeth only to continue with a dark chuckle "I still have her horrible after taste in her mouth. She tasted like SHIT!" The draconic beast took a step forward listening to Ravenwood's sob story only to roll her mismatched eyes at him as she growled in a low voice "If you were afraid of being eaten, you shouldn't have come here. You see... I have a special diet of sorts and I have been off of it for a while now."

Her head drew near but she moved her talons over swiftly in an attempt to trap Ravenwood within them if that succeeded, she would keep him there as a grim smile formed itself on her scaley features "But, but, but... You caught me in a semi decent mood today. Perhaps I'll release you without much of hair plucked if you sayyyyy... Exploit your snowy shithole of a home to me. Prove to me that you are no pawn and I'll let you leave." There was a pause as her gaze would darken staring down at the small lupine, her snout scrunching up and lips peeling back as she said in a low rumble.

"Alive."

Oh Gods. Vayne knew that Roxanne was easily angered and triggered by things, but she did not expect to see her adoptive mother in such a rage - even though it was more so a relaxed anger, rather than explosive and loud like Aphra's. Vayne shuffled closer to Michael whenever the Captain came over, spilling out all sorts of threats. "Momma," Her voice was quiet, as if she wasn't trying to upset Roxanne more. "Don't you think that's a bit much?" She flinched as Roxanne went closer to Ravenwood, appearing to try and pin him down. "H-he's not hurting anyone..."

The Coalition was bad, she knew. But this guy didn't seem like the rumors that she heard about the group. He didn't seem like he could... cause destruction. Especially not by himself.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

His eyes softened, just a bit, weakened and hurt by Vayne. She was nice enough to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he honestly could probably kiss her- platonically- for that. He, however, quickly felt his hair stand on end, something crawling up his spine as the next member of the Typhoon arrived.

And she was the big kahuna. The top dog, the one that the world should fear at her paws. It was clear enough, the way she walked, spoke, spat. Ravenwood's eyes turned towards her, and his ears flattened, trying to step back quickly. His eyes dropped, and something clicked in him, causing him to cower for a long moment. Her words cascaded quickly like daggers, stabbing him, riddling him of his own thoughts. And, with that, he couldn't bear to raise his head as she shifted.

But when she uttered to him that he shouldn't have ever come, that he made a mistake coming here, his head raised. His lips pulled back, snarling out a few words that were hard to believe. "I had no idea where I was. You think I came here on purpose, knowing that our Kingpin put a mark on you? Forget it." But his words fell on deaf ears, where talking got him in trouble- and quickly, at that.

Her claws came down around him, trapping the wolf between them. He snarled, attempting to buck against her claws. In response to her, however, his words came muffled from between those talons of hers. "YOU HONESTLY SEEM MUCH WORSE THEN THEM! Dunno if I'd ever threaten to eat someone just for being lost!" From where he was, and with that inset panic, he could hardly here Vayne, but he'd be utterly grateful if he did.
