HOUSE I USED TO CALL HOME ☆ moving out/new house - WINTERHYMNS P. - 03-18-2021 It had been a while since he had seen the other and well, Winterhymns thought of what had become of their relationship during that time. Maybe they had been rushing into it much too quick and it made him realize that he probably wasn't ready for a relationship like he thought he had been at the beginning. Hell, he couldn't even find the lupine as of late but he decided that he'd find another place for himself and the children. A much bigger house for them seeing as he knew how crowded it would become within their old house and Winnie didn't wish to linger in a place that had memories lingering of that night. A snort leaving him as the legate shook his head at himself, Winterhymns chose to close the chapter of himself and another man being together that day. Truly, he had loved Magnum but the other wasn't around as much anymore... It made him question if the other felt the same. He chose not to dwell on it for long considering that he was already out of the home and stepping into the sunlight listening to the cries of the seagulls that flew above. "Today is the start of a new chapter." He had already selected a bigger house a bit ago, it had been the first house he had set his eyes onto when he first joined and it was farther down along the boardwalk yet he did not mind it. If he was there at the top then everyone would know where to find him, he was carrying his things on a small wagon and he didn't have a lot of things. Most of it belonging to his children who he explained to of what was happening and that they would get a bigger house with a lot more rooms, truly, that itself was exciting. Onyxpaw would be moving with them, of course, since Winterhymns had offered for her to stay with them. Swordskit was definitely happy about her company whilst he recovered. He nudged the door open only to be taken back by the dust that flew out yet he found a small smile on his maw as he mumbled under his breath "You'll make a good home, I'm sure of it." He took a few steps forward deciding that his first thing to do would be to sweep out the dust and get rid of the cobwebs, Winnie didn't struggle too much on that considering he could shapeshift into a large polar bear to do most house chores and finished within a couple of hours. The large ursine stepped out of the doorway crouching ever so slightly and shook himself out with a soft sneeze "Oh bless me..." With a shake of his large paws, the legate got rid of most of the dust from his body before returning inside once more deciding that he had would decorate just a little. Considering that he had very little things that belonged to him, it didn't take him long. He shrunk back into a feline with another shake of his body letting out a soft sneeze once again, he picked at a piece of wood that he had colored in a soft lavender color. He grabbed at a paint brush and dipping it in a darker purple would he write down Pendragon, Winnie hung it on the side of his new home. He watched as some of his children already stepped into the house and began to call dibs on rooms. It made a chuckle leave him as he watched them all fondly, his gaze soft and warm only to turn out to see the view of the ocean. "Welcome home," He mumbled to himself as he stared out to the ocean. Drayden had found a home, though his home was closer to Highland Cliff; it made him feel more at home there, living in what was the closest he could get to a mountain here in the Glades. The wind was colder up there, which was relieving after a long day of being at the beach or in camp where the sun tended to shine harshly. The Gladiator was making his way to the main camp from his home at the cliffs when he noticed a large polar bear in the distance. Someone who was clearly a Glader, given that no one seemed alarmed by it, but as Drayden came closer, that bear shifted into the form of Winterhymns. Oh. He felt dumb for not even recognizing his own Legate at first, but he forced himself to shrug that off as he limped over. "New home, Winter?" Drayden asked, moving his gaze away from the feline over to his new place. "It looks nice."[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: HOUSE I USED TO CALL HOME ☆ moving out/new house - Ares - 03-18-2021 As she left main camp her eyes set at the house, Drayden and Winter. The boardwalk.. man, she didn't have the best memory there but that was past and damnit she wasn't about to let the past get her. She approached the two, trying to seem a little more upbeat than she really was. [color=red]"Yeah, it looks really nice - do you need any help?" — Reggan
Re: HOUSE I USED TO CALL HOME ☆ moving out/new house - Onyxdreams - 03-20-2021 ~ ☼ A soft grunt left the hybrids mouth as she strained, rear claws digging into the boardwalk beneath her as she slowly but surely made her way to her new home. It was still a little weird, to be moving out of the den she had spent the past two months in, it had been the first home that had ever really belonged to her and only her. Moving in with a whole family was also going to take some getting used to, having so many others living in the same house as herself, but at least it was Winter's family, and she had Sword there too! Of course, with her moving however, there then came the issue of how exactly she was going to move all of her stuff out of her den and all the way over to the boardwalk. A majority of the items she had were already stored away, in another, much smaller house that she kept mainly for storage, though what she kept there wasn't her most valuable possessions. No, those had been kept in her den, where she slept, and could keep a constant eye on them.
That didn't mean her den wasn't also packed to the brim with items however, and it had been a struggle to even pack most of it away, in bags, in boxes, whatever she could get her paws on. Bringing the boxes was going to be...difficult, in fact just dragging the black duffel bag with some of her sturdier possessions all the way to the boardwalk had been hard enough as it was. Letting go of her current burden, Onyx stumbled back a step or two, leaning over to catch her breath, turning her head to the side to look at her new home. It was huge, much bigger than Winter's old home had been, and not only that, but it was so close! She was almost there, just a bit more and....and then she could go back and grab another bag to repeat the process. "Agggh, why does this have to be so heavy!" Sure the bag was almost as big as she was, but how else was she gonna carry her stuff, divide it into a hundred smaller bags? That would take forever! Dad had left.
There was some kind of a sting in her chest as Wyvern reminded herself of that. She supposed nothing was perfect- from her now strange body, to her father's relationship. She was carrying a bag of some keepsakes in her mouth, her back still wrapped and continuing to heal from her growing wings. Her eyes lifted up from her bag, towards Onyx and her father, before prancing past Onyx and settling her bag down by the door. She leapt inside, wincing as her back complained, but slowly turned and span in the open space. She took the first room she could- But one, of course, with a wide open window facing the sea. One with one she could climb out of, race down to the beach before midnight hit. One that.. oh stars, One that her crushes could climb into. Wyv leaned up against the window, sighing dramatically. However, hearing people approach and call out to her father, Wyv pushed off of the window frame and made her way back towards the door. She peaked her head out, looking Drayden and Ares. She gave them both a little nod in greeting, before stepping out of the door- between her father's paws- and raced back towards Onyx. "D'you want some help?" She stated, crossing her paws while standing. "speech" Re: HOUSE I USED TO CALL HOME ☆ moving out/new house - WINTERHYMNS P. - 03-24-2021 Winterhymns glanced away from the ocean when the sound of pawsteps caught his attention as he turned around to see that it was Drayden, a small smile on his maw though at his inquiry would he perk up ever so slightly before nodding slowly as a purr slipped from him "Why yes, a new home. I figured it would be best for the children and me to move into a bigger home since there is many of us." And a change of scenery would've been best instead of finding himself waking up to a bed by himself, he shoved that thought away before nodding slowly "Why thank you. I had my eyes on this house ever since I had joined Palm Glades... It is nice to finally move into it and with my little ones too." He couldn't help but chuckle as a few of his said little ones would scramble inside the home without much of a greeting to his groupmates that were currently there. His gaze turning over to Ares with his tail flicking back and forth behind him "I've mostly dusted the place off and moved the belongings of the little ones in already but... I think a few painted flowers on the house would be nice." His lavender kissed gaze shifting around to glance over at Onyxpaw about to offer to help her but Wyvernkit had already stepped out, a small smile on his maw happy that his daughter was treating their rather permanent house guest quite kindly. "If you need any help with the rest of your things, Onyx. I can also lend a paw," He offered with a light nod of his cranium. It was a little funny watching Onyxpaw struggling with the baggage, Drayden had to admit. He wasn't laughing, but there was an amused smile on his face. Looking back at Winterhymns, the snow leopard piped up, "I can help paint too." It wasn't his specialty by any means, but it would be less strain on him to paint than it was to lug things around.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: HOUSE I USED TO CALL HOME ☆ moving out/new house - Onyxdreams - 03-25-2021 ~ ☼ Right, ok, quick minute break and then it was right back to pulling her bag, not because she was tired or anything, she just needed to stretch for a moment was all! Fixing a heated glare on her heavy adversary, she took a seat on the boardwalk and took a moment to flex her jaw, jeez this really was making her a bit-annnnd there went Wyvy, right past her. That was fine, she'd catch up in just a moment, once she was done resting she'd just have to pick up the pace and carry the bag right over to the door. 'Wait, what if everyone else has already called dibs on rooms?!' No, no no, absolutely not, she needed to get over there and grab the coolest, biggest room before anyone else could steal it! After all, she needed it, needed that space to keep her stuff, to keep all the things she was going to collect over the next few months!
Gripping the somewhat damaged handle for her bag in her mouth once more, her wings stretched out, claws gripping onto the sides of the bag as best she could. With the added might of her wings, it became just a little easier to carry her bag, even if it was still too heavy for her to do much more than drag it across the boardwalk to her destination. "Nah...I...got this!" she hissed out between grit teeth when an offer to help was given from Wyvy, she totally had it under control, there was just a bit farther to go! Another firm shake of her head was given to the offer for moral support from Ares, no support was needed at all, she could get this to the house no sweat! Finally pulling her bag all the way to the front of the house, she felt a feeling of pride swell up in her chest, that she had carried this all the way here, and that she just had a bit further to go to get it to her room, just a little bit more and...oh, right...there were more bags. When another offer of help was given by Winter, she felt the immediate urge to dismiss it, to continue trying to bring all the bags herself, but, looking down at her current bag, and imagining carrying more of them quickly broke that confidence. "I...I have three more, in my den, I, uh...I'd really appreciate the help, Winter." Next time, next time she'd carry them all herself, next time she'd prove that she could do it, but for now...for now she was gonna go pick her room, get the first bit of her stuff put away, and then maybe just...take a nap |
