Promise me a place - Joining - SirDio - 03-08-2021

Against the bright sun the dark feline walked, hitting the rail gate with time and setting his golden glowing gaze upon the bell. The decaying mess of a head that sat upon the gate seemed to go by unnoticed by the bulwark, his upper body lifting up to push against the bell. A dull ring erupted, repeating once or twice before falling silent. Then the defender sat down, looking around blankly.

ALL I FOUND THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SPACES
STANDING IN THE NOTHING, AND TIME RECLAIMS YOU
As per usual, the ringing of the solid swinging bell was what attracted Michael over to the railroad gate. He knew it as a sound that indicated either a visitor or a joiner, both of which he was eager to deal with. He thrived when he had something to do, and his jobs as a dealer certainly helped with that.

It wasn't long before he reached where Blackout was standing, Michael's tail twitching behind him as he came to sit nearby. He waved a paw in the other's direction, speaking casually as he greeted, "Hey there, newbie. Any chance I could get your name, and why you're here? Judging by the fact you don't smell like any of the other groups, though... I take it you're here to join?" The slightly larger feline desperately hoped that the other wouldn't take offense to the way his nose wrinkled slightly. He just couldn't help it, with the smell of rot from the head nearby making him want to recoil. Hopefully the thing would fall apart... eventually.

Blank gaze drifted to Michael as he approached, ear flicking to his words. Names and reasons. Blinking slowly, the lynx rumbled in a flat, monotonous voice, "Blackout. Here to join." He dipped his head gently in greeting, before his gaze traveled to the head. "Such decoration is illogical."

As always, the bell lured Vayne over, though whenever she heard Blackout's monotone voice, she frowned. The way this joiner spoke unnerved her and she tried to press herself against one of Michael's forelegs for comfort. "Um, welcome. My name's Vayne Cipher-Vantas." She squeaked, before a look of confusion crossed her features at the lynx's comment. She looked up at Michael's head to see what Blackout could be talking about, but she couldn't find anything wrong. Looking back at the lynx, she asked, "Do you mean his jewelry?"[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

This guy was certainly a bundle of laughs, wasn't he? Michael couldn't help the way his expression faltered at the other's monotone voice, and he couldn't blame Vayne for the way she pressed up against his leg. Still, he tried not to judge too harshly, clearing his throat before he spoke up, "Nice to meet you, Blackout. My name's Michael Townley-Phillips. I'm a dealer around here, so if you've got any questions, feel free to ask..." Something told him that Blackout didn't, though. Didn't exactly seem the type to be too curious about anything.

When the other mentioned the head, Michael's gaze briefly flicked over to it, a grimace coming to his face. Before he could speak, though, Vayne cut in. The bobcat found himself shaking his head back and forth, muttering to her, "Nah... I think he means Roxie's little gate adornment." He then turned his attention back to Blackout, explaining, "That head... while it certainly ain't pretty, it's also the head of one of our group's worst enemies. Even if it's 'illogical,' you've got a snowball's chance in hell of getting our captain to take it down." He was fairly sure Rox would never take it down, and instead would just allow the thing to fall apart. That is, if she hadn't already tried some preservation methods on it.

The arrival of a child was certainly noticed by Blackout, though his body didn't relax and his tone didn't change. "Greetings." Turning his attention back to Michael, he eyed the jewelry. "Jewelry is different. Signal wealth or status. I have no issue with them." He shrugged, lips lifting in a gentle, almost impossible smile. "Fair. What is this group's name?"

Re: Promise me a place - Joining - ROXANNE R. - 03-09-2021

Oh, she absolutely already used some preservation methods on Stryker's head and it brought her joy knowing that it would last for quite some time but Michael was right. There was no way that Roxanne was going to take down that trophy of hers, it was gruesome but it sent a pretty clear message of what would become of someone if they ever tried to go against the Typhoon. She was nearby when she caught sight of Vayne and Michael in the distance, she supposed that she should go investigate and see what they were currently concentrated on. Ah, a new joiner. She stepped beside Michael catching onto what he said about how the joiner had a snowballs chance of getting her to get rid of the decapitated head, Roxie couldn't help but snort seeing as he was right about that. She would not take it down. Not even her own wife would make her budge and she was her wife! "This is the Typhoon and I am the captain that is being spoken of currently."

There was a pause before she introduced herself properly "My names Roxanne." She fell silent for a moment before adding with a sheepish grin "I don't think I caught your name."

Oh. Oh, right. Stryker's head. Duh. Vayne felt stupid at thinking that Michael's jewelry was what was being talked about, but in her defense she couldn't really see past the bobcat's head due to being so short compared to him. Honestly, if it wasn't Stryker's head specifically that was hung up, maybe the girl would have agreed with Blackout's comment on it, but since she knew of Stryker's impact, she had no reason to argue against it. Stryker hurt many, many people here and in the other groups.

Vayne looked over at Roxanne as she came over, a smile forming on her face before she turned back to look at Blackout, her smile disappearing as her head turned. She had nothing else to say, for now at least.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
