FEVER'S GONNA CATCH YOU -- open; return - trojan g. - 02-21-2021

[align=left]love, i don't like to see so much pain *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Since his return from the Iron Forge, Torsten had kept to himself. During his time there he had been kept in dark spaces, locked up so that he couldn't do anything other than use the bathroom and eat when he was given food, being put into the back that he had come in any time they needed to take him anywhere for any reason. It wasn't exactly a vacation for the then child to have gone through. He had spent the time that he would be able to become an apprentice there, scared and alone, wondering when he would be allowed to go home, or when he would be rescued. He'd heard the sounds of fighting before being shoved into the bag once more, tied off and then thrown through the air before he felt a sudden catch and the familiar scent of his mother, of the Typhoon, and eventually he was home.

He'd been welcomed back with open arms, obviously everyone had been worried for him, but the child would need time to think, time to figure out what had happened and time to process. He still spoke to his family when they wanted to speak, but for the most part he had wanted to stay within his own space, and so he did.

Eventually he found himself bored and wanting more interaction, so Torsten made his way out and through the territory of the Typhoon, soon sitting on the beach. He didn't speak at first, just simply staring at the ocean in thought.

ALL I FOUND THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SPACES
STANDING IN THE NOTHING, AND TIME RECLAIMS YOU
Michael hadn't interacted with Torsten much since the other's return, although that wasn't intentional. He wanted to give the kid space – especially since he was sure the other had been treated like shit by the Iron Forged – but he also would've been happy to provide Tor with some company, if he just wasn't so busy. Every time he thought he had a bit of time to goof off or relax, something new would hit him. In some cases, that something new was just a job he had forgotten about, or a new chore being plopped in his lap. In other cases, though, it was something much more serious... like his most recent loss.

Needless to say, he found it difficult to focus on too much as of late, and his planned visits to Torsten had unfortunately slipped through the cracks. All he could hope was that the other was still being well cared for and getting plenty of company, considering he had his family all around. Not to mention, Michael was sure that Torsten and Roan had bonded a bit as a result of their shared situation within the Iron Forged – there was no doubt that the soothsayer had gone to visit the other once or twice.

Even though the dealer was sure that the other had gotten plenty of support since his return, he couldn't deny that he was glad to see Torsten out and about again. It meant that the other was recovering, if even in a small capacity, from what he had experienced. It was because of this that Michael wore a smile on his muzzle as he made his way over, sitting down beside the silent boy. He hesitated for a moment, scrubbing at his own tired gaze, before he spoke, "Hey there, Torsten... it's good to see you out here again. You feeling better, or... did you just want to come and appreciate the waves?" The bobcat certainly wouldn't blame Torsten if he had come out just to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean before heading straight back inside. Michael knew he had done that at least a couple of times for the first couple of days following Trevor's passing.

Who was that? Danny didn't recall ever meeting the sad looking person along the beach, head tilting in curiosity when he came across Torsten and Michael, wondering if there was any reason they were out here. Probably not, after all, the beach was nice enough when you just wanted something to look at.

"What...happened? Is he sick?" Danny asked quietly, scooting over to Michael, still as nervous as ever around new people, but curious enough about the stranger. Was he brave enough to ask Torsten himself? Absolutely not.

[align=center][div style="font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; width: 310px; text-align: justify; line-height:120%"]Fragmented and poorly strung together the prior instances that had plagued both the archipelago and the land beyond, felt more as though the dreams of a mind riddled with terror. Yet the truth was there, his ignorance staged, never accepted for allowing it to become real was to admit his own faults. Forgein the name of those once present upon volcanic ground, an unknown, supposedly terminated as suddenly as they had arrived. An unknown their acts, choice made not to search for the information.

The choice no longer his, quiet his walk, little else proven effective at holding his attention for extended periods. Possibly for the better his vision slide past the trio, back skipping as he realised it to be others, intrigued enough that approach proved a viable idea. Assistance his familiarity with two of the three, quelled any nerves he may otherwise harbour. Still slow was his pace, quickened only as the query posed reached him.

Gentle his reach and subsequent move to hush the child, paw moving to press against side to garner attention. Within their innocence and naivety at times clueless, expected overstep without realisation. Small smile curled his lips as Harland slowly shook his head, hoping to convey that such a question was best not spoken. Of course it could not be taken back, the choice to answer still was there with Michael, or Torsten as he was the cause of it, his hope only to limit chance it may occur again. His own curiosity over the matter was piqued all the same, the manner Michael spoke made it evident something had occurred to distress the child in some manner.

Re: FEVER'S GONNA CATCH YOU -- open; return - ROXANNE R. - 02-24-2021

Roxanne had been the one to make that lucky catch, she often mentally joked to herself that she should be a football player but those thoughts were kept to herself. She usually made sure that Torsten was alright when he had returned home, she made comments on how the day was pretty in hopes of him going outside. It seemed that today was the day he decided to go outside and the captain was happy to see her child sitting on the sandy beach, a soft sigh leaving her. The draconic feline moving out of her home and hopping onto the warm sand with a toothy grin on her maw only to realize that a few others had gone over to where Torsten was. So much for solo, one on one, mother and son bonding.

Making her way over and brushing past Michael with a flick of her fluffy tail on his face to mess around with him, Roxanne would take a seat next to Torsten and pull him into a small embrace with her wing "Well, lookit that. The sun decided to finally rise and show everyone his rays of light." She purred quietly nuzzling the forehead of her son only to pull back for a bit, her mismatched gaze softening at the sight of her son.
