Prayer for Peace - Candle Vigil - SirDio - 02-14-2021

[sup]© tikki[/sup]The wire's getting older - I can hear the way they're creaking. It wasn't hard, right? 3 candles set in the center of the room, a stick pyramid in the center, and the prayer, just like what dad said. It was hard, though, when you never even knew the soul. There he sat in the main room of the stone house, candles lit and his mane dimmed down. It took him a while to find any candles but people were willing to give and that was a huge help. Clearing his throat, he began, "Lords of the souls, I plead of thee to allow Medusa to speak. She was a great soul, many have said. If you grant her my audience, stop no candles. If you do not grant her an audience, stop all three." On baited breath he waited, watching the candles to see their actions. Nothing. Re: Prayer for Peace - Candle Vigil - RHINESTONE. - 02-16-2021
Rhinestonestar hadn't exactly allowed herself a moment to grieve ever since Medusa's death, not exactly wanting to deal with all the emotions that would come with that. After all, she had duties that she needed to perform as legate, and bawling her eyes out was not one of those duties. Once things had settled down a bit more, and they weren't so suddenly starved of ranks... then she would be able to relax. She would be able to sit down and reflect on all that Medusa had done. Not only as the primus of the Glades, but also just as a trusted friend and companion. That would be later, in a more personal capacity, though. Not when she still needed to host an "official" memorial for the other. When she had noticed that Jaeger was doing something with candles, she hadn't initially wanted to approach. She figured it would only cause her more grief, in a time where she really didn't need such a thing. However, she pushed through that, approaching in short strides before she spoke, "Jaeger... what are you doing? I've... I've never seen a prayer like this." She couldn't say that she liked the sound of it, either. Speaking to Medusa? Why couldn't she just be allowed to rest?

Re: Prayer for Peace - Candle Vigil - WINTERHYMNS P. - 02-17-2021 Winterhymns had been minding his own business until he saw Rhinestonestar, he perked up immediately deciding that he wanted to speak to her about something. What he hadn't been expecting was to arrive at some sort of ritual, the sight of it made the fur on his back begin to rise slightly and a frown present on his maw. He had caught onto the part where they were trying to speak to Medusa... Why didn't they let the deceased primus rest instead? It was odd to say the least as he stood beside the Legate with a slight tilt of his cranium. "It is rather... Peculiar to say the least, I'm not acquainted with it either." He decided to say after clearing his throat, he would take a seat. His gaze left the candles, who had begun to slowly dim, and turned to look at Rhine and Winter. The flame that lined his neck felt cold now. "Something my old group used to do after a death. If we didn't get to say goodbye, we'd call their soul one last time to bid them farewell. Of course, if they don't want to speak, that's fine." His words fell like rain, tired and empty. Jaeger honestly just wanted to see who Medusa was, at least, as well as bid her a good farewell. After a moment he sighed and stood up. "Clear to see we won't get an audience with her."
