"So this one? It looks a little musty but it can be fixed up probably."
The fox steps forward toward one of many abodes he's been eyeing throughout the day, blowing a bit of dust from the door seal before pushing the door loose with a grunt. "Wow, you weren't joking buddy. This is pretty big!" The small fox nods furiously, grinning as he turns to look up at his spiritual guide. "Thanks. You can go catch some good old eternal slumber now or go haunt somebody, whatever. It's your life- er, death..." He waves the specter off as it returns toward the cemetery then heads in himself. Ghosts can't always be trusted, maybe this place is haunted or cursed, but that's just an exciting possibility to the lax vulpine. Something new to fascinate him is hardly ever unwelcomed but his husband probably wouldn't feel the same.

Speaking of, almost all of their decisions are joint decisions so he expects his mate to drop by sooner or later. He'd just told him he was off window shopping for homes after a little camp out in an old den. As he trots around this one, Mulder plans in his head how they could fix it up. A dash of paint there, a new stack of books in that corner, Bargh's herbs in this one. Once they get settled, then he can focus on his true passion: puruit of the mysterious. He's practically salivating to get into the junkyard he was told about at the joining and the library too. It broke his heart to lose most of his collection back in the old world but he'll just have to eat that loss and get hungry for new information.

The fox scampers up onto an old table to throw open a set of shutters, coughing and waving the air. He sucks in fresh air then turns to observe the illuminated interior. "Okay, okay, slow down Mulder. The biggest thing on your mind right now should be what color to paint this room..." And if he can borrow some things from the neighbors (he doesn't trust anyone here yet but maybe he can get to know a few in the process) and maybe even bribe his mate into doing all the dusting.

WOKE UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF REALITY
AND THERE'S A MADNESS THAT'S COURSING IN ME
While his husband had decided to go house hunting he had gotten distracted by rummaging around the territory. Though he knew he would be going about collecting his own private store of herbs later on he just wanted to know what were the best spots for what. It seemed that they didn't have everything which was fine, he had no issues with fussing about this placing and trading if he had to. And well, they and a plethora of good stuff here. Minus the fauna that seemed rather aggressive. The crocs and gators seemed rather docile to him which he appreciated. Maybe they knew he didn't have any reason to hurt them. Despite that he had delved into the junkyard as well and had found a small TV. It was broken, at least from what he could tell but it would make a nice housewarming give for Mulder.

Wings shifted through the thermals as he hovered along the wind that rose from the town as he looked down. Spotting the fox as he went into a home. Perhaps that was the one then? He pulled his wings closer to him and dove down, sweeping over the many rooftops before he landed on the roof with a particularly hard thud. The TV had been rather heavy but he had managed and he jumped his way down from there before going inside of the home. "Look what I found for you, Mulder." The angelhound dragged the TV inside as he looked about the place, whistling low as he tilted his head. "Not bad. Needs some good old TLC but we have done a good job with worse. Any ideas for the furniture? I'm thinking a pile of blankets, maybe a couch...."

First Steel had claimed one of the previously unoccupied homes, and now Mulder and Barghest were moving into one as well. That wasn't a bad thing – the luminary was quite glad to have new members within Tanglewood, as always – it just meant he would have to mentally mark down where they had moved in. The archangel always made sure to know where his groupmates resided, in case of emergency. For example, if Mulder ended up injured for some reason, Aurum wanted to know where he could find and grab Barghest in order to let him know. Of course, the ideal was that nobody would end up injured, but the tiger always preferred preparing for the worst possibility, rather than the best. In addition to this, Aurum just wanted to know where Mulder and Barghest resided, considering he hadn't properly met them yet. If he wanted to get to know more about them, he would have to visit at some point, and now seemed like a fairly good time to properly introduce himself. He hadn't been around for their initial journey, mainly due to the fact that he had been desperate for a bit of rest, at the time.

Spotting Mulder and Barghest as they moved into their new home, Aurum slowly made his way over, making sure to give Barghest plenty of space. He didn't exactly want a TV sliding back to hit him in the muzzle, after all. Coming to sit in the doorway of the house, the pregnant tiger let his tail fall down over his paws, his head tilting to one side, "Hello there, you two... You're Mulder and Barghest, right? I've heard a bit about the both of you, but we haven't properly met until now... I apologize, I was rather busy. My name is Aurum Kingmaker, and I'm the luminary around here, or the leader." After that little introduction, the male allowed his eyes to wander around the home, taking in the rather dusty and old building that hadn't been inhabited for quite a while. With a thoughtful hum, Aurum then questioned, "This is where the pair of you are settling down? Any particular housewarming gifts you might be in need of?" Maybe they needed some furniture that they didn't have yet? If they didn't, he could always fall back on the old reliable housewarming gift – some kind of alcohol.

IT MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE SEEN
It had been a while since Moth had to go househunting, which she was thankful for. When she had first joined Tanglewood she had been in a small one room hut, keeping to herself and making sure that it stayed clean. It was easy, keeping it clean, considering the small size and the small amount of items that Moth had brought into the home. The longer she had stayed in the swamp though the more she had collected and the more room she needed. Eventually when she had dated Selby they had found a house of their own and moved in together, and it was much more fit for a house for the female, considering her duties. It had plenty of rooms for other animals in the swamp just in case they needed to stay over for healing, and plenty of space for herb stores. It was almost the same house she had lived in before she had died, the few extra steps that Sweeney and Atticus had gone through to make sure it was able to be lived in showed how much they had cared about her safety.

She had been surprised by how long it had taken the two before her to decide to get a house for themselves. She knew that houses weren't for everyone but usually housing was one of the first things done when you had another to live with, given the amount of space two creatures took up. She wasn't the biggest fan of the house before her given the run down appearance of it, but if they could make it work who was she to judge. Coming to a stop beside her brother, the jaguar would offer the two a smile before speaking at last. "If you need any cleaning supplies or anything as well I've got some in my old house that I don't need anymore." She would mention, looking around for a moment, "It's nice to see you two around finding a house."

A sudden thunk on the roof almost makes the fox jump out of his very skin, wide eyes flicking up toward the ceiling only to scoff at himself for being frightened when he sees a familiar long tail. Scoffing at his own skittishness, Mulder jumps down to greet his mate only to gasp at the item he hauls in. The fox hops over like a rabbit, examining the device in almost a daze before he snaps out of it. "Wow... this is... Did it come form the junkyard?" Someone's going garbage diving soon and a certain other someone is getting dragged along. But, for now, he seems quite pleased with this offering.

"Couch...? Couch... Ah! The precursor aliens would sit on one of those and watch these babies for hours!"
He slaps his paw on top of the tv with gusto (though Barghest himself knows more about the "aliens" than he does) then twists to nose his husband's arm. "Thank you, baby. I was thinking the same. We'll need room for a new book shelf and a new artifact collection of course... Assuming the soil is okay, we could have room for an herb garden for you." He's happy that he's made a decent selection, swishing his tail as he mentally tries to deal out a floor plan, when his attention is drawn to the doorway.

"That's us! Good things I hope. Sorry for the mess," he says a little flustered, as though they could magically have gotten in order already. He looks up at the tiger, processing the information with speed as he nods, "Good to meet you, Aurum. We sort of, kind of, left literally everything behind. So we're not picky really." And everyone. He laughs it off but a wistful sigh tailing the end indicates that he's still bummed some about it. Their friends, their enemies. More than a year of research down the drain. The whole planet. (Does that make him a homesick alien?) All he can depend on is his mind to keep track of his memories and knowledge until he can write it all back down and it's not always so reliable after the big crack in it.

"Actually, you know what, I hate answers like that." Why leave someone guessing when he can give an actual solid answer? I'd love some paper or- or maybe a blank book, with something to write with." Mulder looks up to his husband to see if he has anything to add before flashing Aurum a toothy smile, then extends that same smile to another guest. He's used to being the smallest being in the room but sometimes he wishes he were just a wee bit taller so he wouldn't have to crick his neck so much to get a good look at others. He dips his head to the winged female then mulls over her proposition, tapping his prickly chin with one paw.

"Thanks. Hmm... I think we two can handle it but do you think you have any paint or something like it hanging around?" Anything to cover these eyesore walls is fine with him and already he spies some holes that need to be closed up. His eyes return to her again and he chuckles. "Yeah, we tried to rough it but ugh, the bugs... Dens were okay when I was a loner but I'm spoiled now. And of course my big princess here has a time getting leaves out of his fifty pounds of fur." Mulder jabs his husband's side, snickering.
