No thank you / Joining / Is what I should have said - SirDio - 02-02-2021

Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound.
Just close your eyes, the sun is going down.

The winged serval sniffed at the air. Expectantly, there was salt. The railroad, something he could recognize from the less advanced versions back where he was from, stretched toward an island. Or multiple islands, he couldn't quite tell. But he was curious, so he started off toward the island. A long walk on the beach.. or .. at least a long walk on the sea railroad.

It wasn't long of a walk, though. Soon the gate appeared with a... gruesome hood decoration. The serval squinted in disgust - this was something that beast Byriath would do. It made him grimace. Frown, even. The memory of Byriath brought that thought up again. No. No time for him in the god's thoughts. Shaking his head vigorously, he reached withh his forepaws and rang the bell, wincing at the noise. "Good day! I would like to know who resides here."

Good day... How... Quaint.  The tiny wildcat flicked her ears.  Quietly, she padded forward, head tilting lightly.  Inhaling softly.  Pale hues idly danced upwards, towards the stranger's voice.

Most knew where they were.  Some didn't.  The petite fae had grown used to wanderers of kinds.  She wondered if this one would stay or move on.  Hopefully, they didn't need directions... She wasn't sure she'd be much use there.  Still.  She offered her soft voice in turn, politely.  "Aloha."

"This is the Typhoon.  'm Keona, a dealer here.  Can we help you?"

Re: No thank you / Joining / Is what I should have said - ROXANNE R. - 02-03-2021

Everyone seemed to make such disgusted faces whenever they saw Roxie's trophy on the gate and frankly, she didn't care about the negative feedback seeing as she was the captain now and she thought it was a nice bit of spice to her gate. Upon the ringing of the bell and someone calling out to inquiry about who lived here, the woman would make her way over with both if her ears perked forward a small frown still present on her maw. Though it eventually shifted to a smile when she saw Keona was already there and it was a winged serval that was standing there currently, a tilt of her cranium as she spoke "And I'm Roxanne Roux, captain of the Typhoon." She took a seat with her wings stretching out momentarily before adjusting themselves at her side, she added after her forked tongue would swipe across her jaws "And you are?"

Eltrous looked to Keona, a smile reaching his face as the book, quill, and inkwell was brought out and hovered into the air. The book's cover appeared to have a map of an unfamiliar territory on it with various X's. Flipping to a blank page the serval seemed to write down something. "Interesting, Interesting." For a moment he zoned out but brought himself back to the real world as Roxanne approached. Sparing a glance to Keona the serval's ears angled back in a small moment of embarrassment - he didn't answer her.

[color=#ffeb84]"A pleasure to meet both of you. My name is Eltrous, if you want to, you can call me Ellan." he smiled, dropping the book back into his bag and tucking away the quill and inkwell. Now for the question... what did he want, aside from all known knowledge of the land he found himself in? A home? Possibly.. and he wanted to get away from Jerikol if he was also on this realm. [color=#ffeb84]"Would.. Would it be alright for me to stay here? I need a place to stay.. You see, I want to know as much as I can fit into my book about this place. Not just the Typhoon, but any other groups that call this realm home."

YOU NEVER GAVE UP ON ME; WHY DON'T YOU?
I'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU SEE; WHY WON'T YOU?
Good day? Who the hell still said good day in this day and age? Michael had a certain expression of confusion as he approached, his small nub of a tail twitching behind him as he looked the other over. Eltrous looked fairly normal, at least for what the dealer had come to expect from those living in the Beyond. The other's upbeat nature was... interesting. While those who were on the happier side weren't impossible to find in The Typhoon, most of them were generally children – or Roxie when she was in a good mood. However, the serval didn't seem like a child, at least to Michael. The thief had to wonder what kept him so jumpy, but he decided not to ask, not wanting to be rude and scare the guy off.

Instead, the jewelry covered bobcat just cleared his throat, muttering as he offered a toothy smile, "I think it should be fine for you to stay here, Eltrous. I'm Michael, and I'm a dealer here as well... it's nice to meet you. Although... I'd recommend being careful about poking your nose into the business of other groups too much. Some of them really don't appreciate it, like the damn Coalition." Michael shook his head as the other group's name rolled off his tongue like it burned, his mismatched blue gaze briefly narrowing.

Eltrous beamed toward the bobcat, a wing flickering from it's position in a wave. "Yes, yes hello! A pleasure to meet you. I will definitely try not to intrude too much, I know conflict enough to try and avoid it." His voice dipped at the end, a hint of seriousness in his voice. Conflict. God, the war seemed so close now. Shaking his head he kept his sure-fire smile. [color=#ffeb84]"In better words - is there a place for me to stay until I have a solid housing here?"
