♥ MAGS - PIED CROW - NON-BINARY ♥

Late in the evening, as the sun begins to almost disappear beyond the horizon, most birds have gone to rest. The few nightbirds that fly over The Typhoon's docks are heading out to dine- except for one.

A rather curious-looking crow flies overhead with an assortment of woven branches in their talons, looking around the moonlit dock for a good place to land. Light glints off of various jewellery pieces dangling from the branches, creating a dazzling display of lights moving in the sky. As the bird continues their flight, they begin to caw:

"Come, come! Mags the Merchant has come to visit! View their wares, buy them if you wish! Only for a short time! Come, come!" The bird nearly cackles as they speak, flying in circles above an empty mooring a few times before swooping down. They set their weaving of branches and jewellery down in front of the post before settling on it themself, eagerly looking around for customers. Surely someone is around, even at this hour?

SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Late. It was late, and Roan really should've been asleep. He knew that, mainly because of the fact that he had been told to rest over and over again, by all kinds of different members within The Typhoon. However, he found that he simply wasn't able to get to sleep at the moment. Insomnia had wormed its way under his skin, and whenever he tried to close his eyes, he found himself just shifting and shifting over and over again, unable to  just let his mind fall silent. He wasn't sure why he couldn't – it wasn't as if anything important was going on right now – but there was just a general sense of unease in the air surrounding the temple that night. So, the soothsayer had eventually just given up trying, getting up to his feet and slipping silently into the night, taking in a cold breath of fresh air before scrubbing at his face. However, the silence of the night was interrupted by the shrill call of Mags, causing Roan to wince and let out an annoyed grumble.

Despite not really wanting anything from the merchant, the stitched up feline still made his way over, mainly because he didn't have anything better to do. It was the middle of the night, and he didn't want to bother any of his family as a result of his insomnia. Once he found himself in the clearing that Mags had come to rest in, looking them over before he spoke, "Hello there... Mags the Merchant. I'm not much for jewelry... do you have any herbs with you?" The medic tilted his head to one side as he looked over the branches that Mags had set up, resisting the urge to reach out and grab them. He wanted to inspect them and see if they had any useful herbs on them, but that would be rude – you weren't supposed to just grab a merchant's wares if you didn't intend to buy them.
