sighing rays from a sunset;; open - turtle shell - trojan g. - 10-21-2020

[align=center][div style="bgcolor= black; width: 45%; font-family: times new roman;font-size:13px;text-align:justify;text-indent: 30px;"]It seemed as though many of the children of Roxanne and Diya liked to go out and explore, liked to try and find things that would be interesting to others. While Finnegan liked to find seashells out on the shore, something that was often in abundance and gave that satisfaction of being able to collect as many as you liked, Torsten's thoughts on what he wanted to collect frustrated him. He liked the shells of turtles, and things shaped like turtles. So far, all he had found was a small rock shaped similarly enough like a turtle that he had decided to keep it, wrapped around in twine and loosely hung around the boy's neck, but he was always on the hunt for a turtle in and of itself, and it seemed harder and harder to find one.

It was easy to find things that were green like a turtle. Leaves, ferns, seashells, etc. and so on, but it made it difficult to find an actual turtle, and it frustrated Torsten more than anything had ever frustrated him so far in his three months of living, which wasn't saying much to someone older, but it said a lot to the boy.

He was about to give up with a frustrated sigh before a small gasp left him, the sight of a turtle shell in the distance, and his hopes rose high, and then he got close and the hope faded. He still liked the shell before him, and was going to keep it, but it was empty, left long ago from a turtle that had lost its life, and Torsten wanted to cry out, the built up frustration finally getting to him. So he did, and tears began to fall as he clutched the turtle shell in his paws.

MICHAEL TOWNLEY
THE TYPHOON
DEALER
Thieves were often known for their overwhelming greed, and Michael was no exception to that rule. He loved collecting anything that he was able to get his paws on, and he particularly enjoyed the shinier things in life, like gold, and various different kinds of jewels. It was the reason why he was always adorned in some kind of jewelry while he walked around, whether it just be his wedding ring and his necklace, or a great deal more. However, Michael had never particularly had any interest in collecting things with no value. He realized that things like seashells and little trinkets had some kind of value to those that collected them, but he preferred the things with tangible value. Things that felt good to steal, and slip his paws carefully over before he snatched it from some unsuspecting shitlord. Of course, he didn't do that as often as of late, but he still hadn't completely abandoned his thieving past, as many NPCs from groups like The Pitt could attest to.

However, the dealer could never remember a time where he had cried over not being able to have something. He had never really been allowed to cry when he had been a child, and that had sort of just extended to his adulthood, so he usually expressed his frustrations through anger, or drinking. Although much less of the latter, as of late. Nonetheless, it was easy to see how Michael might have been ill-prepared to deal with the situation when he came upon Torsten, crying over a turtle shell. Initially, the bobcat had hesitated in getting closer, a faint frown pulling at his muzzle. Eventually, however, he decided it would be worse to just walk away, so he took a few steps closer, questioning, "Torsten...? Hey... what's eating at you? Is it the shell...?" He wasn't sure he could've been any more awkward if he tried, but he was still getting used to stuff like this. He could only pray that Roxie or Diya would arrive soon, to help in comforting their little one.

Re: sighing rays from a sunset;; open - turtle shell - ROXANNE R. - 10-21-2020

me dejaste, me dejaste en un tango
Roxanne usually tried her best in keeping an eye on most of her children though they were rather adventurous, which was much similar to her last litter though there was one more than the last making her have to be on her toes. When Diya was busy inside of the house, the Quartermaster usually was outside to keep an eye out for their children, it was this day that Roxie had noticed Torsten looking around for something and it made her curiosity tip slightly. She rose to her paws slowly and stretched out feeling a soft sigh escape her lips, both of her ears perked forward as she began to follow Torsten. It didn't take long for her to notice that Michael was there as well only to see that her son was crying over an empty turtle shell.

She nudged Michael in greeting before she approached her little boy with a small frown on her maw. She would curl her tail around him in a soothing manner before she found her voice to reassure him gently "No lloras mí bebé..." Unfortunately, all living creatures usually met their end though Roxie refrained from saying so more concentrated on comforting Torsten over telling him how cruel life often decided to be.

EN EL ALMA SE ME FUE, SE ME FUE EL CORAZÓN
YA NO TENGO GANAS DE VIVIR, PORQUE NO TE PUEDO CONVENCER
QUE NO TE VENDAS, ROXANNE

Children in general were nosy, little explorers. It was both a blessing and a curse in Aphra's mind; on one hand, it meant her kids were entertained by looking for things and as such, they left her alone and didn't bother her much. On the other hand, it meant they were out by themselves, where they could be influenced by their crewmates. As selfish as it was, these children were hers and the way she raised them was no one else's business.

Even if it wasn't a good way of raising them.

As much as she despised the noise that kids made, hearing one crying caught Aphra's attention. At first, the she-cat was hesitant in approaching Torsten but eventually she swallowed her uneasiness down, a snort escaping her as she came to invesitgate what was causing the kid to cry. Pointedly ignoring Michael and Roxanne (for now at least), Aphra huffed, "Things die, kid." She told him flatly, knowing for a fact that Roxie and Michael would hate her for it. Sure, she admitted that she liked quietness and that causing drama was stressful to Michael - and her words still rang true - but it made life boring without it. How else was she supposed to enjoy living in The Typhoon, if she wasn't getting someone irritated at her? "Get over it."[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
