my ordinary life - [CHAZ] - Stryker - 10-12-2020

⸺ STRYKER, THE KINGPIN ⸺
pleasing everyone isn't like you, dancing jigs until i'm crippled
With the meeting finished and the espionages briefed, there wasn't much more to do for the day. The day was barely midway and he was done. Stryker, finding nothing else to do, wandered towards the Guru's Sanctuary with Chaz on his mind. Ninazu's promotion probably came as a surprise to the older Guru, especially seeing he had provided for the Coalition of the Condemned for quite awhile now. Nevertheless, the Kingpin thought it was in their best interest to have more healers. They were going to need it in the future. He hoped his fellow high position wouldn't take it personally though, hence why he was visiting.

Pushing through the vines that overlaid the cave, the Kingpin let out a short call. "Hello hello, anyone home?" His eyes hadn't adjusted to the environment just yet.

I'LL HAVE YOUR HEART ON A PLATTER
After the meeting had been dismissed, Chaz had returned to his home in an untouched cave, mourning the loss of his private space. He knew she most likely would remain in Strykers sleeping space but, it would still be someone impeding on what had been mostly private place. None the less, he understood the kingpin's decision. Tail flicked as he cleaned up, eyes glancing too a large dusty pile in one corner, one that hadn't been touched since it had been placed there. A pile of his passed husband's belongings. A sigh left the small feline as he hung his head, eyes scanning the room for something too cover it with. After a moment, he pulled a sheet from his makeshift nest, tugging it halfway offer the pile. The sound of pawsteps made him freeze, leaving the pile only partially covered.

He slipped out of the adjacent cave, ears pricking at the voice that met lilac ears. A wicked grin on maw, he would press low to the ground, hiding among the vines that lined the entire cave, the foliage among his back providing him with extra coverage. The small feline, smaller than even a domestic cat, would creep. He would tucker down against the wall, hidden well by the darkness that often covered his cave. He had small lanterns but, as they often were, they had remained unlit. He found the ordeal that came with lighting them perilous.

Covered by the darkness, he would await the lion's approach before leaping from the darkness, aiming to land squarely on the lion's back. He would aim to snag his paws in his old friend's mane, unable to stifle his laughter as he did so.
