WAR | weekly task, chess crash course - gael - 09-24-2020

GAEL Ó BROIN
Truth be told, the vulpine possessed his doubts on the potential interest -- chess hardly seemed to reign as a popular game.  A game of strategy and forethought, the Ardent found true enjoyment in playing -- as well as crucial insight on the minds of his opponents from the way they approached the game.

Gael knew chess often overwhelmed his daughter; her patience wore thin quickly and she struggled to recall the rules mid-game. He could appreciate her effort however, especially as she decided to delegate a 'crash course' lesson on how to play.

Quietly considering how to best simplify the game, the faerie carefully set up one of his larger chess boards in the marketplace -- offering the best visibility of the pieces he could present.

"If you'd like to learn how to play chess, I'm holding a crash course on the game."

THE GOLD IS SLEEPING IN THE RIVER
Trygve had to bite his tongue to silence a groan of agony when he heard the words chess and crash together, he knew that Aine would give her father a task that he liked and as much as he respected the guy... He couldn't understand his affinity for the game itself. But Ry would play with Gael from time to time whenever Aine wasn't just to humor the old guy, a soft sigh left his maw as he limped over with both tufted ears forward. He offered a faint smile and well, maybe he could learn to be better at the game in general... Especially since he was injured and should avoid anything that requires too much physical activity from him.

With a twitch of his whiskers, Trygve would speak up slowly nodding in the direction of the vulpine "Well, I might as well try getting better at this game." Even if it drove him up the wall but he tried not to think too much about it as he sat down wincing slightly at all the movement he was doing, yeah, he was going to be sore for a good while.
