It's almost dawn when he starts to stir, an almost incomprehensible pile on the ground that had previously gone unnoticed by passing creatures due to the mud and leaves that caked his body, disguising his scent, his odd pale coloration and the pattern of his skin that would have given away that he was most definitely not a pile of fallen leaves.

It starts with his toes twitching, and the sudden movement causes a nearby mouse to scurry under the roots of a tree, quivering and watching as the massive mound of dirt, leaves and bark begins to wake. After that, it's as if an on switch has been flicked. His massive tail swings out and then curls back in as he yawns, limbs stretching out as he pulls himself to his feet, stray clumps of dried mud falling from his body to reveal the slightly muddy, pale kaprosuchus beneath.

When his eyes open, it's to reveal two brown orbs with flecks of green dotted spaciously throughout the iris, with a ring of yellow around the narrow, catlike pupil. The noise he makes is a vague combination of a hiss and a growl, nostrils flaring as dozens of scents filled his nose, his mighty jaw clamping shut with a particularly loud snap, teeth sliding through the grooves in his jaw they'd left behind in his nearing two years of life.

He wonders, as he shambles aimlessly along the line of twisting trees, how long it will be for someone to find him; he's pretty big even on all fours, it certainly wouldn't be hard.

LEADER ❝ RHINE ❞ PALMCLAN
It seemed as though Palmclan had a penchant for attracting massive prehistoric beasts, if prior history was anything to go by. First had been Stormspine, and then an entire massive crowd of the beasts had begun to show up, shocking all those that lived within the beach-dwelling group. Not that Rhinestone was particularly complaining, considering he was always glad to welcome them in regardless of their species. Some within the group still liked to cause trouble and bemoan the situation as a whole, but they were thankfully in the minority, something that Rhine liked to think he had fostered. Yes, Palmclan was indeed meant to be a traditional group, but that didn't mean they had to be bigoted. Besides, it wasn't as if anyone from Starclan had come down to scold or curse them for letting in members that were non-feline. Not that Rhinestone had heard much of anything from Starclan lately, even after he had initially taken up the reigns of the group.

The rust colored feline had been out on a patrol when he practically stumbled upon Vil, initially not even seeing the other against the backdrop of the trees and sand. However, once he took notice of the large reptile, Rhine found himself stiffening up in fear. It took a moment of slow breaths before he was able to move again, reassuring himself that the other didn't seem to be threatening anyone. At least, not yet. With this in mind, Rhinestone padded over so that he was in front of Vil, offering the larger male a crooked smile. It was only a moment before he questioned, feeling a bit anxious about the creature before him and the twisting trees around them, "Hello... I don't believe I've ever seen anyone like you around here before. My name is Rhinestonestar, and I'm the leader of the group whose territory you're on, Palmclan. Could you provide me with your name, and why you're here? If it's just for food... that's understandable." He hoped the other would actually be able to understand and speak their language, considering how Drifting had arrived with only the barest grasp on it.

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 65%; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Sugarspice couldn't help but think about the various forms of raptors and giant lizard-like things they had in PalmClan. Some had been there before Sugar, though it seemed as though for the most part there were more and more joining as the weeks went by. It didn't cause her as much alarm is it normally would have weeks ago when she hadn't been aware PalmClan was even a place, but the thought of more and more members joining their ranks was something Sugarspice was excited about, and with good reason too.

Coming up to stop beside Rhinestonestar, Suga would look towards the prehistoric beast with a smile on her face, offering a slight dip of her head. "My name's Sugarspice," she would offer, tail soon reaching the front of her feet and wrapping around her paws as she took a seat, "Please let us know if you need anything." As far as she could tell the other wasn't hurt - which was good, she didn't know anyone who knew too much about herbs - and didn't seem starved either.

GOTTA TAKE SOME TIME TO REALIZE
THAT MY FRIENDS THEY COME
AND THE LINES THEY GO BY
Ceaseless beat pressed behind the quiet hum heart conducted in overfull cavity, softened the thundering notes, a wailing keen seeking attention he may not allow it. Apparent had grown the increasing nerves that sparked alight with flickering desire, fed the ignition until skin grew taunt, too small about muscle overtaxed in vain hope may it be quelled with excessive motion. A lacklustre and dour affair was it, however, days grown repetitive.

Maybe it had been such which drove him to volunteer when another has called forth some to scour the twisted boundaries of the forest, recent arrival making necessary such trivial work. The words had briefly dried upon his tongue when Rhinestonestar had proceeded to throw his own hat into the ring, a subordinate now yet above them always, strained his offer as the final request was uttered. From the rest had he split, quiet mention of taking the rear in case anything sought to attempt any form of sneak attack to their less watchful back end, yet barely had he paid attention.

It was only with their halt, and subsequent rough end as he walked into another with breathy false little apologies, he had realised wrong the situation they had arrived within. Towering beast hued in shifting shades painted against harsh planes, resounding the closure jaws made, yet even such did not permit the teeth overlaid along jaws to be hidden. Along those points did his eyes move, rough and poor the count, disrupted at the wavering voice that addressed odd beast.

Flinten the vision that settled upon brother, brief the curl frown cast against his lips, beneath the amassed fear sticking in his lungs Toad found a motivator that pushed him forth. Upon his right side the dark smoke came to halt, crooked the faux grin he forced to surface as regarded the kaprosuchus in fleetingly little glances. Compared to Rhine his nerves were better tempered, at the least from the front, the plume of his tail bushed and wavering about his ankles, alike on end standing the strands along his spine.

"Magnet for the weird we are, huh?" Friendly the light tone he employed, though sharp the glance he threw towards Rhine as his intent settled. Toad knew of the beasts that stalking the shore, difficult to kiss such hulking creatures among a populace once only felines, forced his acceptance for not his place disagreement with the word of his leader. In this he must speak, if he may only feel free to do so in a more private setting, once more softened the gaze he turned to the reptile, minutely as it were, taunt grown the edges of his smile.

Another voice, unfamiliar for proximity has not been breached, soft her tone in manner Rhine lacked. Speaking of his brother around the other did he look, brief his inspection of the molly. Sugarspice. He recalled the name, somewhat high within the ranks if memory served him, yet still an unknown he would tend to later. Seeing no need to speak to her, as focal point was the beast she looked to, once more did his own attention return.
