PLAY THE HITS BABY ☆ temple cleaning - roan ; - 09-17-2020 SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Overall, Roan liked to consider himself a big fan of order. He enjoyed order in his life, and he liked things going the way that he planned them. Of course, it was very rarely that his plans actually came to fruition, because life seemed to have a funny way of decking him – and the rest of his family – in the face. It was disappointing, but it was honestly something that he had just come to accept at this point, as much as he occasionally found himself clenching his teeth or digging his claws into the ground. However, there was a silver lining to every cloud, and that included Roan's chaotic life. If there was one thing that the soothsayer was able to control and bring order to, it was his surroundings. He was in charge of the temple, and it was his base of operations, as well as his home. If the temple wasn't up to his standards, then he wouldn't be able to focus, and that wouldn't be good for the group as a whole. Even with his newly chosen sages, it would still be some time until one of them was fully trained, and the other was only just now becoming social again. It would be a bit of time before he stopped being the main person that everyone turned to.
So, Roan had decided to take things into his own hands. Or paws, rather. He had gotten himself a bucket, a mop, and a broom, and he had headed back to the temple, quickly followed by Galaga. Once he was back within the walls of his home, the siamese got to work. While Galaga sat by and watched him work, Roan dusted off the dirty hard floors of the temple, brushing a great deal of dust and debris outside with the broom. He then began to mop, carefully holding the tool in his mouth as he dragged it along the floors, making them faintly gleam. He'd never be able to make everything look perfect, but he could get pretty damn close. Ultimately, when about half of the temple's floor was done, the soothsayer headed towards the entrance, sighing and frowning when he spotted the thick vines that were growing inwards. He didn't mind the general look of the vines most of the time, but he couldn't have them coming in and taking over everything. So, he stretched up, grabbing onto one of them with his teeth and claws, and beginning to pull. At the same time, Galaga did the same, the youngling crocodile beginning to claw and bite at one of the smaller vines. Gradually, they both began to succeed at their task, but it was exhausting. It wasn't long before Roan fell back on his flank, grumbling, "Damn things really are attached, aren't they Galaga?" He then turned towards the hatchling, who paused long enough to let out a few of the beeping sounds that he was named for. Unlike Roan, Aphra thrived on chaos; she enjoyed spontaneous things and the unpredictable nature that chaos brought. It was one of the many reasons why she liked to cause trouble among her own crewmates; she was, quite literally, a dramawhore and the reasoning for it is just as pathetic as she is: she enjoyed the cruel, unpredictable chaos that ensued. It was an adrenaline rush. "Does that thing ever know when to shut the fuck up?" Aphra hissed as she came to investigate what was making that annoying beeping noise near the temple. She paid no attention to what Roan was trying to do and simply glared at his crocodile pet, having half the mind to swat at it to see if that would get it to shut up. If she had more thoughts on her mind, she kept them to herself, uninterested in fueling Aphra's clear fondness of drama. She just wasn't worth prioritizing over her brother.

Growing up blind, Keona enjoyed a sense of order, though she often went with the flow. Mostly, it was just nice knowing she wasn't about to run into something, though her whiskers often helped with that. With a soft smile, the petite wildcat raised her head towards Roan's voice. What were they trying to do? It didn't sound very cooperative. "What're you up to?" Perhaps, she could lend a paw, once she had an idea. She didn't particularly want Roan to exhaust himself with whatever it was. © MADI Re: PLAY THE HITS BABY ☆ temple cleaning - roan ; - 09-20-2020 SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Aphra's presence at the temple was an unwelcome one, but Roan had a feeling that the feline had known that before she had come over. The siamese just rolled his eyes, pulling Galaga a bit closer before he hissed, "He knows how to shut the fuck up about as well as you do, skank." His voice was even and calm, despite the sharp and vicious edge that his actual words held. He didn't feel like dealing with her bullshit today, especially when he was trying to actually get something done. The soothsayer then let out a pleased purr when Keona came over, glad to see his half-sister. He spoke softly to the dealer, a hum leaving him, "I'm cleaning up the temple with Galaga. Well... I was cleaning it. I got about halfway through sweeping the floors inside when I noticed the vines that were starting to grow inwards. I've been trying to deal with them, but... they're attached a lot more firmly than I was expecting." He was quick to ignore and practically forget about Aphra's presence, turning to Keona and letting one of his wings lift back to try and hit Aphra in the face.

The city will be earth in a short while If I'm not mistaken it's been in flames You and I will escape to the seaside Diya had started to make a habit of visiting roan, checking up on the healer and simply coming to visit. Her sensitive ears caught the conversation happening as she was stepping inside. "Hello Keona, hello Roan!" she greeted, purposefully not giving Aphra the time of day or a shred of her attention. Looking up at the vines along the wall, she nodded in understanding. "You want some help, Roan?" she offered, gesturing at the vines coating the wall. She was sure if she went polar bear she could make quick work of the plants, easily. Re: PLAY THE HITS BABY ☆ temple cleaning - ROXANNE R. - 09-21-2020 me dejaste, me dejaste en un tango
Making her way over, the recently promoted Quartermaster would draw a soft breath only to frown in Aphra's direction and well, Roxanne wasn't alone either. With Kalayavan following behind her, the large crocodile would let out a long hiss with his slitted eyes fixated onto Aphra who seemed to be taking a hostile tone towards both Roan and their offspring. Roxanne would pat the crocodile on the snout only to speak with a frown on her maw "Careful Aphra. Crocodiles are protective of their hatchlings," Her own pupils would turn into dangerous slits before they turned over to look in the direction of her son, a smile presenting itself on her tired features. It was always nice to see Roan out and about though he kept himself busy for the most part, much like Goldenluxury, her ears twitched in amusement at the mere thought.
"I'd be more than happy to lend a helping paw as well," Roxanne would mew as she would sit down slowly next to Diya, it was the least she could do after all. Besides, the temple would be quite impressive if it was a lot cleaner though Roan had cleaned up quite a bit, her whiskers would twitch lightly. Roxanne would do her best in helping as much as she could especially given that she was growing a little rounder than usual. Keona twitched her ears, brow creasing in thought. She hummed softly in acknowledgement, the tip of her tail flicking. Vines... "Maybe I can help too," she offered with a blink.

She may not be able to see the vines, nor be nearly large enough to offer much strength to pull them but... As the tiny wildcat let her senses drift, she knew she could find them. Through the water they held. Her father had passed on his connection to the water to her. She knew she could probably drain the water from the vines, make them looser. She just hadn't tried before. Just don't overdo it, Keo, the dealer mused to herself. Quietly, she padded up to the closest vine, paw reaching out to lightly touch the plant. Feel it. And the water... She felt it respond, following her pull. "The vines might be easier to remove if I drain the water. I jus' need a place to pull the water to." She didn't particularly feel like leaving puddles on the temple floor for everyone to slip on. © MADI Re: PLAY THE HITS BABY ☆ temple cleaning - roan ; - 09-22-2020 SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Roan certainly hadn't been expecting so many different people to come and offer to help out with cleaning, but he was hardly complaining. The temple wasn't only his home, but it was also their main place to treat and keep those who were injured, which meant it was important to keep clean. After all, nobody wanted their wounds to become infected because they had become caked in dust. The thought alone was enough to make the siamese shiver, shaking his head before looking towards Diya. He spoke softly to the female who had become like a sort of second mother to him – or at least, had started to become something like that, "Some help would be appreciated. It would help to get everything done more quickly, not to mention I don't want to go towards doing something dangerous like using my powers to get the vines off..." Water elememtals may have been reasonable to use to get rid of such a thing, but electricity? All he would probably end up doing was set the temple on fire, something that wouldn't be good for anyone involved.
When his mama approached, the soothsayer let out a soft mrow of laughter in response to her silent threat towards Aphra, a little smirk coming to his face. However, when Roxie offered to help, Roan found himself hesitating. He knew that his mama was pregnant, and he didn't want the quartermaster to overwork herself while the babies were still developing. Despite this, the draconic feline also didn't want her to feel useless, simply muttering as he glanced back towards the inner temple, "Well... I have a little mini-mop that you could use to help with the mopping, if you wanted...?" As he waited for an answer from his mama, Roan glanced over at Keona, watching with interest as the dealer grew closer to the vines reaching inwards. He found himself eagerly nodding when she spoke again, fascinated by how she sapped the vines of life, just by taking away the water, "I have... I have buckets inside for the mopping. Just give me a second to go get them." He then quickly turned and headed inside, eventually coming back with a trio of buckets in tow. He put them nearby to Keona, so that she could easily put the stray water inside of them. DON'T ASK FOR HELP, YOU'RE ALL ALONE YOU'LL HAVE TO ANSWER TO YOUR OWN PRESSURE! — Reggan

Wow. Okay. Aphra grit her teeth as both Keona and Roan spoke to her, clearly showing their distaste of her presence. Sure, some days the she-cat could handle it, but when Roan ended up smacking her with one of his wings, she hissed and shook her head. She ignored Diya just as she ignored her and simply glared at Roxanne. "Well, I was going to help." Aphra lied with a huff. "But if you all are just going to act like that, I'll take my leave." And with her head held high, the succubus turned back around and walked off. //out unless someone stops her![glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] |
