TWIN SIZE MATTRESS ☆ o, ferris wheel - RHINESTONE. - 09-13-2020

LEADER ❝ RHINE ❞ PALMCLAN
Exploration had not been something that Rhine was known for, even in his more formative years. He had often left all the dramatics and exploration to his siblings, simply preferring to be the level-headed one, and the one that kept them all out of trouble. It made him an excellent apprentice, and was what had ultimately led to him earning his position as a senior warrior. Still, it meant that he was ill-prepared for the trip into the boardwalk, having very little idea of where to start checking to see where the rats had come from. A wrench had only been further thrown into things when they discovered the boardwalk had an entire group that was living there. That made it significantly more difficult to just follow the scent of the rats, considering they were clouded by the scent of the group as a whole. Not to mention the fact that it seemed like the vermin were everywhere, so it was especially hard to locate their base. All of it was frustrating to an unknowable level, especially since the exploration party couldn't even return to their own camp yet. Rhine would really have to see about fixing that, and soon.

However, it was not yet the time for that. Rhinestone was exhausted, and he didn't exactly want to be snappy when he was trying to work out a deal with another leader, now did he? So, instead of going to seek out Vass or anyone else from the group just yet, Rhine had decided to go and try exploring the boardwalk a little on his own. He hadn't been left alone for much of this trip yet, mainly because he always had at least one or two other travelers that decided to go along with him. This time, he had specifically requested that he go out alone, wanting a little bit of air outside of their little makeshift camp. He had been allowed, despite the couple of uneasy looks that had been thrown his way, and he had set out across the massive wooden structure, long legs carrying him from plank to plank as he simply... wandered. He didn't have a specific goal in mind this time, so he just decided to head for the biggest thing on the boardwalk that he could see – the ferris wheel.

When the tom eventually reached the base of the massive structure, he initially found himself a little dumbfounded, wondering what exactly he had been planning to do once he reached it. However, after only a moment of contemplation, the rust colored feline began to make his way upwards, clambering his way on top of one of the bottom-most carts. From there, he slowly wrenched himself through the structure's inner spokes, eventually stopping on a cart that was about halfway up. He could feel the wind rushing through his fur, and from where he was, he could see most of the boardwalk and Palmclan's territory as a whole. Glancing back, he swore he could see what looked to be lights on the spokes of the ferris wheel, although they weren't lit up – evidently they would've spread outward to paint the night sky, if they had any power going to them. Turning his gaze back to the view, the leader let out a low whistle before he chuckled, "I think I could get used to this, at least... s'not so bad..." So no, being trapped on the boardwalk for the time being wasn't ideal, but this was one part that he didn't hate.
