Diya had never been the most social feline out there. While she was no longer the shy kitten she once was, three years in isolation would dull one's social skills. She'd realized this and, in recent weeks had begun to reach out, attempt to get to know those around her better. Those close to Roxanne had been her first step. She knew that Roxanne loved her family and Diya wanted to get to know those important to Roxanne.

Her attempt today would be Michael, the adoptive brother of Roxie. Not only that, rumors had reached her that he had discovered a vampiric ability of his own. She hadn't put too much into her plan, simply gathering some biscuits she had made into a basket and gently drapped a cloth over them. Her trip over to his home had been quick and careful, the biscuits all in one piece and sandless when she arrived. Setting the basket down, she gently tapped the door with her paw. As she awaited his answer, panic began to settle in her chest. What if he didn't want her to come, should she have asked first?

Oh what a fool she was, making her way over without asking, presuming she would be welcomed. He was Roxanne's adoptive brother but, that didn't mean he had to like her. Did he think her an annoyance? An ill-fit for his sister? Did he feel disgust at her presence? As the anxiety gripped at her chest she stood, considering returning to her home and leaving the basket at his door. Deciding that was best, the vampiress began to turn away.

REAVER ❝ MIKEY ❞ THE TYPHOON
Truth be told, Michael had never been the most sociable person either. It would be hard to see now, considering he was practically a social butterfly within The Typhoon, but it was true. Back when it was just he and Trevor, the thief heavily preferred to let the other do most of the talking, even if that often ended up getting them into trouble. Maybe it was because he had been taught to "sit and stay quiet" by his father quite a lot, or maybe it was just because he found most people annoying. Either way, a lot had changed since then, but the reaver was certainly able to understand Diya's point of view.

He hadn't interacted much yet with his sister's... girlfriend? Lover? He wasn't really sure, but either way, he hadn't talked to her much. It wasn't from a lack of interest, especially after his fangs had come in. Instead, it was simply because he had been so busy lately. It was hard not to be, when one had the duties of a reaver and upcoming puppies to worry about. He still had his job as a reaver, and worrying about giving birth was now replaced with worrying about his children in general, but overall? Things had calmed down a bit in his life, and he had considered going to see Diya a couple of times. After all, the cravings when he had been pregnant had been unbearable, and he felt especially guilty after practically draining an entire prey pile of blood.

When Diya came and knocked at his door, Michael hadn't really been doing much. He had shifted back to his usual bobcat body, getting used to the feeling of it again now that the wasn't forced to be a canine. His attention at the time had been focused on one of his rats, Wade, soft laughter leaving his muzzle as he watched the vermin run around in circles. His mismatched blue eyes moved over to the door once he heard Diya's knocking, and it wasn't long before the short feline slipped down from the couch inside of his hut, heading for the door. Opening it, he was surprised by the scent of biscuits, as well as the retreating form of Diya. Frowning slightly, the fugitive questioned softly as he stepped just a bit out of the doorway, "Diya? Where are you going? Are... these for me?" He glanced down at the basket of biscuits curiously, for once glad that the puppies were out exploring The Typhoon's territory. If they had been home, there was no doubt they would've come rushing out of the hut at the first scent of food.

Diya froze like a deer in headlights when the door opening, knowing she had been caught. For a vampire, she sure did tend to wimp out when it came to social situations. Want her to whoop some ass? Sure, she can do that! Talk to another person? Hell no. With a minor huff, she turned to face the bobcat, surprised to see he'd reverted forms. She mentally chuckled at that, realizing they were both shapeshifting vampires. Maybe they were better suited as siblings than Rox and Michael.

"Ah, hello! I was simply, uh." she made an unsure face, ears flicking backwards. "Well, I figured you're probably pretty busy with the puppies so, I brought you some biscuits! They're home made and everything!" She would speak with some level of pride, thinking she had done pretty good with them. her snowy tail would flick behind her as she searched for something to say. "I just figured since you're Roxie's brother and I'm a her girlfriend we should uh, you know, get to know each other?"

REAVER ❝ MIKEY ❞ THE TYPHOON
Girlfriend. So, it seemed as though Roxie and Diya had worked that out, hadn't they? It made Michael smiled slightly, mainly since he knew how unlucky in love his sister had been in the past. Even if he didn't know much about his fellow vampire, he knew that she seemed to be a decent person, which hopefully meant she had no intention of hurting Rox. Not only that, but it seemed as though she wanted to get to know him as well. The bobcat found himself blinking in surprise, slightly caught off guard by that. He was used to suddenly having new family because of his relationship to Roxanne, but he wasn't used to anyone actually being interested in knowing him. Making his own unsure face, the thief hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Biscuits...? Well, thank you, I'm sure they're delicious. I've never really been good at my own cooking, so it's appreciated... hopefully I can actually have some before the kids come and chomp down the rest." The reaver then offered Diya an awkward little smile, offering as he flicked a dark paw inside, "You're probably right about that... if you want, you can come inside? It's messy as hell in here, but I'd imagine you and Rox know what clutter is like." They probably didn't know what having an entire legion of rats and moths inside one's home was like, but he doubted anyone else in the world besides he and his family did.

Two introverts enter a bar. That's it, that's the joke. Niether one wants to start up a conversation, not even with the bartender to order drinks.

If there was one thing that Diya didn't know how to do, it was getting to know people. Roxanne had been easy, Diya having so quickly developed a crush on the choloate colored feline. When the Reaver complemented the biscuits, she smiled. "I've never been the best cook but, Roxanne's baking habits have started to rub off on me!"

As he offered to let her come in she nodded, scooping the basket up in her maw to carry it in for him. She probably should have responded before she picked up the basket but, oh well. "fank you, I d'n't min' fee meff" she mumbled around the basket, like a fool. To be honest, she hadn't known what mess was like until recently. Up until she moved in with Roxanne, everything she owned had fit easily into one box.

Michael found himself nodding when Diya spoke about her baking skills, a little chuckle leaving him as they headed inside. He explained softly, his little tuft of a tail twitching behind him as he spoke, "Well, you're certainly a step above me. Roxie has tried to teach me how to bake over and over again, but... well, I'm just not good at it. I can barely make so much as a cookie without nearly burning everything down." He shuddered a bit as he thought of his last attempt, shaking his head. Once he and Diya were inside, the male ended up jumping up onto his couch, gesturing to one of the other cushions as he spoke, "The mess isn't as bad as it could be, honestly. Trevor has been trying to help me out, although he's never exactly been the best at keeping things clean... not to mention the kids and these little rascals." He pointed towards the nearby coffee table, where Wade was sitting with one of his treats. The rat just blinked back at him, briefly sniffing at Michael's paw before returning his attention back to his prize.
