THE LEAF | stealth obstacle course - gael - 09-06-2020 ♛ GAEL Ó BROIN Through reading the records he could find and speaking among the eldest npcs, the vulpine came to understand the Pitt had operated on an extensive class system. A fascinating discovery that Gael decided to continue to pursue. In recent moons, the Pitt seemed only to care for brute force tactics -- strategy and espionage lacking. He may be reluctant to enforce new policies early into his reign, but it may be well worth his time to test and observe the potential of those present within the Pitt now -- potential for more than simple brutality. This task carried the Ardent towards the Red Temple early in the morning, hazel eyes glinting in thought. Well into the day he arranged an expansive obstacle course -- made up of various crates, carefully placed boards and inconveniencing roadblocks such as pebbles of many sizes and slippery puddles of water. All the while, he spread a collection of small bells throughout the maze, attached wherever a distracted head or miss-stepping paw could run into them. When he felt satisfied, Gael had word sent out among the Pitt that for those who wished to attend a training challenge go to the Red Temple -- the Ardent would be waiting within. Upon enough arrivals, the faerie would speak. "Consider this a training exercise in stealth. Your goal is simply to traverse the course from one side to the other, with as little sound as possible. Three strike system; three bells and you need to start over from the beginning." "Feel free to race or inconvenience each other if you wish, but no bloodshed. This is not a sparring match." Satisfied, Gael inclined his head. "Enter as you please." They were distracting, however, so he decided to have a look at the commotion. The Ardent was busy dragging things around, boxes, scattering pebbles on the floor. Slightly amused, Jormungand crouched down and watched him finish, a curious tilt to his head. When Gael did, however, he called out for members of the Pitt to attempt the obstacle course he had just set up. Jor rose slowly to his paws, a grin curving his lips. He knew he wasn't going to pass this, but he could cause as much chaos as he liked, no? He made his way towards the call and halted in front of the other. "I'd like to try it out. And, only no bloodshed, you say?" His optics gleamed with malice. Re: THE LEAF | stealth obstacle course - T. ROUX - 09-07-2020 you think you know about me
Trygve had been sleeping rather happily in a tree branch but the sound of several pawsteps making their way in the direction of the Red Temple made the draconic lad perk up and blink his optics open, it took him a moment to register what was going on though he leapt down from the branch heaving out a loud sigh. He figured that he might as well see what was going on and found Gael there speaking about some obstacle course to test their stealth. The boy thought it would've been easy until the mention of bells reached his ears did Ry grimace inwardly. Inconvenience others, huh? The only person that would be inconvenienced by Trygve would be himself. Biting on his tongue to silence any cocky comments that he wished to speak, the draconic jaguar would roll his shoulders. He had to think about the positives... Like the fact that Gael was making an effort to make the Pittians better than using brute force.
His eyes glancing over to the Red Temple only to bob his head briefly to try and spot any of the bells though he stopped hearing what the panther that had been there before him speak or ask about the whole no bloodshed thing. A snort left him only to part his jaws to speak "Yeah, no bloodshed." His mottled tail lashing behind him with a frown on his maw, he didn't seem to want to enter quite yet wondering if Aine would eventually make her way over since she was never too far from Gael or vice versa. Twitching his whiskers, Ry would take a seat trying to figure out how he'd get through the bells without his horns knocking anything over and he would lift a paw to touch em with a frown still present on his maw. Maybe he'd have Aine help him trim them down... Even if it was a snip at the pride and ego that he wore upon his skull like a crown. All her life, she'd kept her eyes on the next mark, the next victim whose head was demanded by their Queen. When she hunted, there were no rules, no limitations—whatever she needed to do, she was allowed to, so long as the result was favorable. Cheating was a nonexistent concept. The end would always justify the means.

It's why, when Quiet was drawn to the competition, she looked confused at the complex set-up. There were many ways to traverse the bell-laden course, none of which would actually be allowed in the spirit of competition, but growing up the way she did, it never dawned on her that she had to enter the course. Why would she? Teleporting would be so much easier. And so she did just that. One moment, Quiet stood on the starting line of the course; the next, she disappeared in a flurry of ash and smoke, only to re-appear less than a heartbeat later at the end of it, having rung no bell. It was too easy, suspiciously so, and the maned wolf turned back to Gael with a questioning, almost innocent look on her face, as if to say, "Is this really how this game is played?" 5 YEARS PITTIAN THE PITT SHE/HER © AUDACITY

A SWEET SHOT OF KEROSENE: Re: THE LEAF | stealth obstacle course - DANTE NORTHWEST. - 09-08-2020 [glow=white,1,400]THEY WANNA SEE BLOOD, THEY WANNA SEE HATE ! — 。+゚.[/glow]
As surprising as it may seem, Dante was going to participate in this little training session. Stealth wasn't his forte, believe it or not; he was larger than the average feline and was just as clumsy as one, if not more. His wings certainly didn't help matters, especially given how they were - quite literally - just there for show. "This isn't a sparring match, holy shit." For once, Dante agreed with Gael here. As much as a fighter as he was, he knew when not to cause unnecessary bloodshed... to a certain extent, at least. Dante wasn't dumb enough to start a fight with his clanmates, that's for sure. "Doesn't mean you can't cheat or trick your way to beat someone." Bells. Crates. Not exactly the normal thing to see hauled to the Red Temple. Her hazel hues flickered in confusion. She'd been on her way to the White Temple, to check on her stock there.

Curiosity won over chores, as it was prone to. Ears perked the Fleshweaver trotted over to Trygve's side. A lesson in stealth? Oh. Aine glanced at her hooves, uncertain. At least her father was adamant not to send her any patients from this lesson. The little fae stared the course down warily. While she had grown comfortable in her current shape, she missed her paws. Legs that didn't wobble. Especially as she was still regaining strength in her right hind leg. Even if she kept her wings close to her sides, Aine wasn't so sure... She'd probably trip on something... But that was the point, wasn't it? "I'd- I'd um. Appreciate no one break- breaking anythin', too." The druid ventured to point out softly, glancing at Jor and Dante. After her own leg broke in the tremors, she'd rather not wish that on anyone. A rough time. With a hopeful smile towards Trygve, she stared the obstacle course down once more. "Wanna try together?" Between the two of them... They could probably get to the other side. Probably. Maybe. © MADI Re: THE LEAF | stealth obstacle course - gael - 09-13-2020 ♛ GAEL Ó BROIN Gael inclined his head, satisfied with the number of those in participation. Smoothly, he nodded towards Jormungand, taking careful note of the jaguar's interest in trouble."I would like to keep the White Temple clear of patients today--" a point he emphasized by giving Aine a nod --"if possible." He would rather allow the Fleshweaver an opportunity to participate in this exercise the same as everyone else -- it was essential for her to know how to move quickly and quietly, to avoid danger. The faerie regarded Quiet thoughtfully, a patient smile finding a place on his maw as she reappeared; clearly confused. "Your abilities make this something of a mute point, I understand -- but perhaps you should try without. To test yourself and the full range of your capabilities." "Stealth is rarely a fair man's game," the Ardent affirmed plainly after Dante spoke. Of course, the vulpine himself respected honor above deceit or trickery -- indeed, he gave Aine a commending smile at the prospect of working as a team, rather than an individual, with Trygve. As the Pitt stood alone, its people needed to know how to operate both as individuals and as a community -- no one else would look out for them, but each other. The Ardent supposed he could run a few team-based challenges in the future, to further that particular point. "Good luck." As Aine approached, the draconic jaguar would turn to face her only to offer a small smile. He was always happy to see his best friend and would stand up on his paws only to hear her question did his tufted ears twitch, he didn't mind working in a team with Aine and well, he would rather look stupid in front of her than anyone else. With that in mind, Trygve would finally speak with a nod of his cranium "Hell yeah, I'd be down." That way if anyone tried tricking Aine, he could probably stop it in time. Maybe. He took a few steps towards the Red Temple still feeling a bit of hesitation, he didn't know how much of a bother his horns would be but he figured that Aine wasn't completely used to her hooves quite yet.
He supposed that the both of them would struggle but hopefully, with their teamwork... They could get to the other side and feel good about it. Or alternatively, Aine could watch him get stuck in the obstacle course and have a laugh about it. The thought made a soft chuckle leave his way but he was already close to the entrance only to turn his gaze over to Aine "Though if I get caught in the bells, please help me out." He mused with a flick of his mottled tail, of course, he had no doubt that his best friend would help him out of whatever he got himself caught in. He lifted a claw to scratch at his chin in thought only to say in a lower voice to Aine if she approached him "If I do get stuck... I'm probably gonna need to get my horns trimmed down," They were pretty big. BUT THE FLOWER'S IN MY HAND WITH A PALER LEAF AND BROKEN PETAL, I'LL PAINT THE KING AND QUEEN — Reggan
