HAKAI / combat training - Hope Arcanium - 07-04-2020 It had been a while since she had last hosted a combat training session. She had to admit that her teaching skills were a bit rusty, but it didn’t stop her from wanting to keep Elysium ready for whatever was to come their way- gods or hostile groups alike. It was never a bad thing to always be prepared. Strong and nimble paws would carry Playerone to her destination, with an oddly heavy weight on her shoulders and a look of exhaustion on her face. But she would brush them off and step up to help out around there more. She had to get out and help instead of hiding in her room for so long and leaving to train all night, sometimes for days on end. Now, she was beginning to feel the effects of it. She had to change the way she trained, how hard, and actually take some time to relax. That would be a hard task considering who she was, but if she wanted to be in the best shape, then she had to make lifestyle changes. “Elysium! Gather for combat training.” The hybrid god called out, taking a seat and wrapping her tail around her paws as she waited for Elysites to come forth. Re: HAKAI / combat training - fulzanin - 07-04-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] When it came to combat, Clony could agree that they lacked. They had no teeth, and only a few claws. Their small feet didn’t pack much of a punch. Nor did they really know how to use claws. They were used to using sheer numbers against opponents to overwhelm them, to crush and destroy. Sheer numbers could do quite a lot, Clony had learned. They didn’t have numbers anymore. They were a single clone out of thousands. Alas, they would have to do. A little bit of training would do them well - especially with their recent promotion. They knew the sacrifice of one for the safety of the many, and the sacrifice of the many for the safety of the one. It was ironic, but their logic had been tried and true where they come from. “Hey hey! I’m here for the training!“ Clony chatters, hopping after a solid landing on the ground. Their wings remained spread and hoisted above their head. The rapid hopping continued, small claws plapping against the ground rapidly. “Don’t see no lasers, which is a shame. What are we gonna be fighting with? Sticks? I can get us some sticks,” they offer with the twitch of a large ear. //mobile TAGS 3/17/20: Re: HAKAI / combat training - wormwood. - 07-06-2020 Combat training. The call from Playerone actually surprised Aurum, at least a little bit. Despite the fact that Elysium was supposed to be focused on "justice for all," the lion hadn't really thought of them as an especially combat focused group. Even after them helping against the Pitt, and bearing witness to one of the fights against the gods... it still felt odd, to be in the group while Player was teaching such a thing. However, the angel was really never one to turn down training of any kind, having hosted quite a few similar events in the past, so he found himself trotting over anyways. Coming to a stop near Clony, Aurum sat back on his rump, his tail slowly coming to wrap around his front and rest near his large paws. Playerone was significantly smaller than him, and he was fairly sure he and the hybrid could have quite the entertaining fight if push ever came to shove, but he didn't have any intention of questioning her instruction. He just cleared his throat, rumbling, "I'll participate, Playerone." He then turned his blue gaze towards Clony, one eye scanning over it before he snorted softly, "I'm fairly sure we'll be fighting with our natural assets, Clony. Claws, teeth, that kind of thing." They might be allowed to use powers, but he knew from experience that could be a slippery slope to make fair. After all, how were you supposed to pair up those with differing levels of experience with their powers?

Re: HAKAI / combat training - Warringkingdoms - 07-06-2020 [font=trebuchet ms]At Play's call for a combat training, Rin was quick to make her way over. At some point, she had to get used to fighting with one eye- she might as well start now. Even with her vision impaired, though, it became plain to see as she approached that Play was exhausted. Making a mental note to order bedrest if this continued, Rin glanced over at Clony and Aurum as they gathered. Though she had imagined this training mainly taking place with the "natural assets" Aurum mentioned, Clony did have a point about using sticks. "If we're going to be running this in pairs, the duelists could agree between themselves whether or not to allow weapons, powers, that kind of thing," Rin suggested, looking back at Play and setting her quiver of arrows against a wall. "Though certain powers should probably be limited in general, just to keep injuries to a minimum." Most of hers would be too dangerous to use, she figured. Her telekinesis would be safe, since she and Clony were the only ones small enough for her to lift, and Clony could fly. She wasn't likely to injure anyone else with her teleportation or shapeshifting either, and it would be a good opportunity to practice them both. Fire and water, however, were a no-go, and the rest weren't exactly combat-focused. Twitching her ears, Rin awaited further instruction. |
