JOVIALITY ☆ creepy - wormwood. - 10-23-2019 Ever since what had happened between he and Beck and the whole movie incident, Worm had sort of just avoided being around the ghost too much, not wanting to piss him off any further than he already had. However, quite some time had passed since then, and Worm found himself growing more and more worried about the fact that he hadn't seen the ghost around at all lately. Surely enough time had passed for even the severe injuries that Beck had suffered to heal, and usually the boy would be out and about now pulling pranks on others or just causing general trouble. Wormwood had been hesitant in going to try and visit the other to see if he was alright, not wanting to cause more trouble than was needed, but eventually he hyped himself up to head for the other male's houseboat, flapping on over and landing just a few feet away. He moved over to the door and gently knocked his paw against the wood, calling out softly as his tail flicked from side to side, "Beck? Beck, are you alright? I know we haven't had the best interactions lately, but I'm getting worried about you..." There was no response from within the houseboat, and Worm wasn't sure if it was because the other was ignoring him, or because he was gone. The guardsman just sighed heavily when he received no response even after several more knocks, and he turned to leave, hopping down from the deck and padding back into the trees.
He noticed, with a bit of a start, that the wooded area around Beck's houseboat seemed abandoned and dreary, with fog beginning to gather between the heavily clumped trees. He blinked for a long moment before a chill seemed to move up his spine, forcing an icy grip upon his bones and making him shiver almost violently. His ears flattened down to his head as he began to trudge back through the swampland, noticing the fog growing thicker and thicker, and the strange silence seeming to fill his ears more than any noise ever could. Eventually he just grumbled to himself, his claws slipping out instinctively as he sought to fill the deafening quiet, "Fuck, since when is this place so goddamn creepy?" Part of him silently hoped that it was some sort of elaborate prank by Beck, since that would at least prove that the other was actually alive, but he had begun to get pretty far away from the boy's houseboat, and things were becoming more and more eerie and unsettling – creepy, if he was really being honest. He half wanted to just jump up and start flying back towards camp, so he didn't have to worry about the creepiness, but he shook it off. Just continuing along and taking a shuddery breath, a soft sigh leaving him. Everything was so odd and creepy around this area of the swamp, and it felt like anybody or anything could jump out at him, scaring the shit out of him in the process.
