IT'LL NEVER END | meltdown. - DELILAH. - 08-11-2019 Delilah Evergarden
tanglewood | 23 m/o | femme | dark faerie "YOU COULD HAVE HELPED HER! YOU COULD HAVE CHECKED UP ON ARROW. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN HEALED BEFORE IT BECAME BAD." Delilah's loud, staticky hiss erupted from pastel lips as the fur along her spine rose, tears beading up in blind pale eyes. It wasn't their fault- they didn't deserve this. Delilah should have been there. She shouldn't have left. She shouldn't have distanced herself from the people she loved because of grief. Grief did odd things to people. Grief caused unreasonable anger, but that was no excuse for Delilah to be so angry. The petals that fell from her pelt seemed to take on a darker color, fangs bared as she dug her claws into the ground, her breath increasing- she was angry. Why was she so angry? "It's their fault, of course. You had to protect yourself. You had to leave." Lilith's voice was no comfort, the entwining of grass around her paws from her overwhelming loss of control of her emotions. She wasn't herself. This wasn't Delilah. She'd become everything she didn't want to become. She became an angry, vengeful woman- just like her mother. "You.. It's-!" tags: Re: IT'LL NEVER END | meltdown. - selby roux ! - 08-11-2019 [align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]Selby was still recovering from his bout of illness. Despite his nausea and fever being gone, he was still very tired and achey, and a little lightheaded if he moved around too much. Then Delilah’s words rang out, and before she even said a name, he knew she was speaking of Arrow. In fact, everything she was saying he’d already said to himself every day since she’d died. He knew it was his fault. He didn’t need anyone to point it out. "It’s all on me," he rasped guiltily, heading towards Delilah. "I already knew it. They couldn’t have known, but I could have. It’s all on me. I should’ve been better. I’m sorry." And as he said those words, a familiar sense of nausea crept up his stomach, fueled by anxiety and guilt. Worm had been resting when Delilah's angry voice rang out across the entire camp, and his ears perked up in confusion at her shouting. When he heard the content of what she was saying, however, the fur along his spine rose, and he snarled as he got up to his paws, stepping out of his house just in time to hear what Selby was saying. He felt even more rage fill him, and the huge lion slowly moved down the steps to the side of the medic, gently flicking his tail against his spine as he rumbled softly to Selby, shaking his head firmly as he held back the burning rage that was building in his chest, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"Selby, no. It wasn't your fault. There's nothing you could've done to change the situation, and Arrow didn't die because you weren't there. Arrow didn't die because any of us weren't there. Arrow died because she was sick, and it wasn't something that any of us could've done anything about. It's sad, yes, but sometimes people die, and it's nobody's fault."[/glow] His voice was calm and comforting as he spoke to Selby, but the layers of warmth dropped away as his icy blue gaze flicked over to Delilah, a snarl leaving him. He took a step towards the feline, but it wasn't meant to be threatening, just a warning for the angry barrage of words that were about to leave him. Delilah didn't have any right to be blaming any of them for Arrow's death, especially not Selby, who had rushed onto the scene and tried to help, but hadn't been able to because none of them could've helped. Tail lashing erratically behind him, the lion rumbled in a voice less akin to his normal warm tone and more akin to a harsh and angry battle roar, his eyes narrowed, [glow=#793B29,1,400]"And you. What fucking right do you think you have to blame any of us for Arrow's death? None of us could've done anything and I know you know that deep down! If you wanna talk about being here, where the fuck were you this whole time? You weren't around for Arrow either, and guess what? Even if you had been, it wouldn't have mattered because we couldn't do anything! It's fine if you're mourning, I'm sure a lot of us are, but this isn't the way to fucking go about it. You don't blame everybody else for your emotions, and you don't act like it was our faults' Arrow died, because it wasn't. Tear yourself apart if you really fucking want to, but don't drag innocent people into your guilt and grieving just because you want the rest of to feel even more awful than we already did. Get a fucking hold of yourself, Delilah."[/glow] He minced no words and pulled no punches, the anger that had seized him upon seeing Selby beating himself up still burning in his sky blue eyes. He liked Delilah, and he also knew that she was better than this, and he wasn't going to let her try to drag everyone else down with her. Re: IT'LL NEVER END | meltdown. - RED - 08-11-2019 [align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana;"]"Quiet, Selby." The order rumbles low in his throat as he passes the medic - it isn't much in terms of solace, but he aims to give the feline a gruff pat on the back all the same. He wasn't thinking about Selby's guilt, his sickness, even the horror the medic had displayed as Arrow passed in his arms. It was this one, this bastard screaming bloody murder that pushed him over the edge - Delilah was never there to see Arrow fall, never felt the pain of seeing a life slip from innocent eyes. It was only convenient that she appeared as soon as Tanglewood was beginning to recover. "Now... Who the fuck do you think you are." It's not much of a question so much as an accusation. The low, settling anger that Red had come to know so well was roiling deep in the pit of his chest; it curled its talons around him and wrenched out something he was so accustomed to suppressing. Yeah, he got angry sometimes. But this wasn't just anger that bubbled up in him, it was far more cruel, a dangerous hate that slithered up from the depths with him when he crawled out from Hell itself. That rage, that feral hatred, it was something else entirely. His face feels hot - it's a concentrated burning that settles just around his temples. Blood roars in his ears and he can feel his pulse beating through the quick of his horns, begging him to let go and crush this insect underfoot like he so easily could. Red breathes (slow and steady, his father once hummed,) and his breath clouds into a thin fog that dissipates as soon as it hits the warm summer air. "Where were you when she died? You never showed your face until it was easy for you to throw complaints instead of helping. Arrow couldn't be cured - what would you rather do, watch her fall apart, knowing you could never do anything to save her? Or let her live a happy life until the last day?" He snarls, fists clenched. He jabs a finger at Delilah and roars, "I watched her die! You weren't there to give a shit! You just want to make a victim of yourself!" Without a pack to stabilize his softer side he was all anger , all wraith . His own time within under someone else's thumb , under someone else's control only made him more volatile. The raptor had never been ashamed of himself , his violence . a creature without conscious beside the note of absence ( the lack of pack, of true comfort ; no sanctuary , just moments of silence cut by the hollow static where someone else's mind carved his own- ) . oh , how the silence rang now , without the clatter of chains wrapped around his throat to keep him grounded- Ament was floating, floating high, like when he was but a hatching ; perched atop his mother's noes and watching the sun rise with his sisters . Now, Ament knows truly that pack is not everything , without it - without his sisters he was still himself . Grief unmade you , but it defined you too . Without his sisters he was just as ruthless , as bloodthirsty . Just now he had nothing left to loose or fight for , no greater purpose beside his own survival and pleasure . To hear the far off shouts of the clan members reached the predator ; cut through the silence like a knife and made him snarl in agitation alone ( never mind the relief at being brought to the present ; negate the gratitude for misaligned - the angry malevolent evergarden who was hurt , broken like him ) Ament stalked towards the group with a low purr rumble deep in his throat , the savage tacking note of the tension cut through the entire group - the raised voices , the anger , the hurt the pain laced words . H knew body language , he saw the signs . With a clear distinction the raptor prowled to step before the group - cutting off looks towards evergarden - glares and cutting words alike, and letting out another rumble towards the main coon ; a threatening step towards them the question was - were they an ally , or were they foe ? predator or prey ? tanglewood | 23 m/o | femme | dark faerie "You don't know a single thing about me!" The response was garbled, the inky black wings that rarely showed themselves except when impurity reigned in her blood once more, blind pink eyes never noticed the vernandi, or the way Red had moved forward, or the looks on their faces as she placed blame on people who weren't at fault. "I couldn't be here for her- You should.. You should have looked after her- she was always prone to do stupid stuff if nobody was looking after her!" Delilah cried out softly, the presence of Red unsettling the entity inside of her. She was under pressure, and by this time, Lilith came out and fought the threat off, but why was Lilith just watching? She wasn't reacting, she was silent, but the soft voices coming from her demoness merely urged her. They deserved this. "You couldn't have done anything once the sickness hit her- I know that. I'm not dumb! But you left your clanmates to do whatever they damn well please, never kept them in your sights or-" Delilah halted when she heard the familiar, stuttery voice of Kiira. The once gentle, motherly woman seemed to internally struggle and argue with something, because Kiira was right. She always knew it- It wasn't their fault. It wasn't until the raptor made that threatening sound that Lilith reared her smug head, Delilah's body shaking as the succubus consumed her host, horns sprouting from the felidae's head- possession. A disgusting feat, black igor dripping from pastel lips, threatening voice. "I couldn't fathom how stupid you must be to approach an enemy you know nothing about." Lilith spoke aloud, morphing the gentle, soft voice of Delilah's into one more menacing, dark- Red's presence kept Lilith at bay, but her wrath wouldn't be kept in a bottle for long. "She wasn't there, she doesn't understand. Blah, blah! Why don't you fuckin' shove it, Fluffy, okay?" The mocking tone that Lilith displayed- This wasn't Delilah, and maybe Lilith was trying to pick a fight, but Delilah had no fight- she wouldn't put up resistance against Lilith. Not since returning from their long journey. tags: Re: IT'LL NEVER END | meltdown. - AMUNET - 08-12-2019 — Rage is such an easy emotion ; compared to grief and morning . Many defected from genuine to masks and bottled up . Ament is a predator , has never turned away from wraith or violence . it is instilled as a child , instinct were sense should have been : the hunger for violence is dominate , especially to him . Tension bleeds between the group as savage snarls - yowls and cutting words that Ament cannot understand In the end , it does not matter, if evergarden is a predictor or prey ; even without his pack - without mother's shadow or his sister's support - Ament is the apex predator . Under someone else's hand he was nothing but an attack dog - static and blood freed him - now he lets the same static build, let the hunger for violence rise until there is nothing but the carnal lust for blood to once again taste his blood. In the present sense , something in the pink main coon shifts , wings sprout from their back and horns crown their head . They take on these features as if it would deter him ; and many once it would have , for the same taste of shadow - of mother lingers on them now - but it only seems to anger the utharaptor , a low rumbling purr building deep in their throat now halting as a savage snarl cuts across their features. Sea-storm eyes dilating in a heady rush as in moments - quick reactions that may be too quick for other's to react - Ament pounces. Ament uses his teeth first - bounding closer he attempts to enclose his maw around the other's neck. A killing blow if not for the way Ament intents to use his grip to fling the other away. to distant them from their allies or no, Ament will become the executioner in this one's end - if he manages to distant Delilah from the rest of the angry group he will be quick to follow. The feathered beast again attempting to bite down on the other - this time on one of the appeared limbs : A wing, and break it, if not wrench it from their back entirely. |
