Re: open, joiners [★] I bet my life - lavi s. - 09-05-2018 WE BLAME THE TICK TOCK, THAT TICKS TO OUR SONG
Lavi quirked a brow in Tena's direction, unable to hide an amused smile. It had not taken him long to learn of her rather short patience, and temper, meaning her decision to declare a dislike of riddles - and not answering - did not surprise him. At least she did not snap at the guy, although her distain was... Pretty obvious on her face.
"Ah, I thought so," he murmured, glad he had guessed right. Sand was indeed, rough and came in massive amounts. Unfortunately. When Edward announced Tena's answer, however... The mountain cat very nearly choked. The startled youth had to take a few seconds, whiskers twitching before giving up on his composture entirely and snickered. When a pilot was unaccompanied, they were flying a solo flight... It just happened his grandfather - a rather cocky pilot - was named Solo. Sheepishly, he cleared his throat and nudged his companion, eyes twinkling, wondering if she had caught on to how it was - or how he thought it was - funny. code by spacexual Re: open, joiners [★] I bet my life - PIERCE - 09-07-2018 [div style="margin-top: 30px; text-align: center; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 35px; color: white;"]pierce parker ☀ — just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me space Pierce shifted his weight from paw-to-paw to find a more comfortable footing in the sand, ears lifted forward as Lavi addressed him. It was a fair question, one he sort of wished he had asked when he first joined. However, he had already been pretty well-versed in clanlife, so it hadn't been as difficult to catch on for him as it may be for others. "The whole idea of Sunhaven is that you can kind of, like, do whatever you want- an artist, a warrior, a doctor, a dancer, whatever! It's really encouraged that you do what you're super passionate about, as long as you're not, like, hurting anyone, or anything like that, obviously. To go along with that, we, uh, have different 'guilds', one that specializes in medicine, one in art, and one in warfare. I'm the head of the Art Guild, if either of you might be interested in that, but the other two are cool, too, I'm sure." He paused, hoping he'd explained that well. Sunhaven was truly a place of opportunity, and a home for everyone, as long as you weren't literally evil. "We're technically a merchant group, I'm pretty sure, so a lot of us make or grow and trade things. We mostly trade with other clans, from what I've noticed, but we trade among ourselves, too." At least that little bit definitely made sense- they traded stuff for other stuff, the "other stuff" usually being food, from what he'd seen. Pierce wasn't a merchant himself, but he found the idea itself pretty cool. "We have a ranking system, too, but I wouldn't be too worried about that. Basically, we have a leader, and..." he trailed off, counting off the ranks in his head. "four ranks below that. It's pretty straightforward, so don't worry!" Had he gone a little overboard with that? Maybe, but the guy had asked, and he figured he may as well give them all the information at once. To take a bit of a step back, he added, "That's- kind of a lot at once, sorry! It's really not all that much, though, promise." His smile brightened once more, tail waving behind him, though the approach of Edward - the lack of the sound of four pawsteps indicated his presence before he spoke - made Pierce's jaw tense ever so slightly, smile slipping from kind features. Though his gaze did not move from Tena and Lavi, his immediate aggravation was evident, a small twitch in a muscle in his cheek slightly visible. Ignoring the gibbon and his riddles - which weren't even that good, by the way -, as well as his questions, Pierce forced his smile back onto his lips. "If that's all I can do for you, I could take you back to the town, and then you guys are free to look around. Unless you want help finding a house, or a tour of the place, or something?" He was truly glad to help, but he also just wanted to get rid of the image of Riddlersgame that Ed's presence had planted into his head. "speech" space
