Re: SILVER TEETH IN SHADOW | Murder - Luciferr - 09-01-2018

I ADMIRE IT'S PURITY
the thing about the creature was, that no, he was not blind - even if the appearance gave that thought at first.

no he and his kindred never did seem to have visible eyes but they'd always had an eerie capacity to look directly at you as if they did.

at the last second as Nui rocketed downwards, the panther swerved with uncanny grace and danced away to the side, gouging out the blinding white flesh of the snow beneath his feet - he turned, silver teeth and drool spinning towards this small yet bold prey who now came towards him wielding some sort of weapon.

an angry hiss as the butt of the blunt weapon touched carapace but the feline had made mistakes - she'd come into his reach and this was made known as heedless of the pain Blacktide aimed to lunge forward, jaws gaping wide as a secondary set shot out at speed aiming for her face or to graze if she evaded quick enough - he'd follow this up by aiming to stab the blaed tail towards her in an attempt to skewer the bold-prey-enemy.

it was enough to know green-feline-drone was also here - the stranger turned strange-hive was generous with her prey, an admirable trait in hive cohesiveness.

[div style="width: 360px; font-family: verdana; color: #fcb3b5; text-align: left; padding-top: 15px; padding-left: 10px"]LA VI EST DROLE!

trying to fight blacktide implied she had no sense of whom her lethal dance was with. she wasn't here for such triviality.  but here? she was on the oh so humble mission of whittling out his blindspots one by one with this experience. crush snowbound's established fear of the predator by fending him off in one of her most underwhelming forms, and glean whatever information she could off of the other like a leech until the time came to utilize her information and use it to effortlessly deliver a merciless death to the enemy. her heart beats something fierce just thinking about it.

yes, she decides. she is going to gauge if such a pest is worthy of her full effort, and within luck, the true carapace-shattering battle will come later. as her megalomaniac heart glows with the rush of battle and self importance, she feels like she is a generous being for bestowing this lovely creature a handicap.

the lack of chitin against her limbs was no falter to her, yet to crash at this speed (even against snow) was certain peril at her own health. she let her body do the thinking for her, and the moment coral paw pads came to collide against powder alabaster, her form disappeared, effectively cutting itself from the wake of striking jaws and tail of blacktide.

since their arrival by force into the dining hall. her eye had missed nothing. there was no sight to be found within that armored, slick ebony cranium. yet he detected his opponents and targets with a silent ease-- proof that he had a way to see. and she wanted to see how much those senses could extend. if the truth could be found, there was no doubt within that fiendish mind that she would ruthlessly disable it, if she could, and strike with a swift lethality only to be found with predators going in for the kill.

the beastly gal reappeared a short distance away, taking a mental note of tsuyu's voice from somewhere amongst the throng of rushing blood in her ears. a recent turncoat to snowbound. she would not blame tsuyu in her change of alliance-- (the snowbounders did not have a reputation for being the most reliable when it came to their own defense and strength) but the reason for her switch of mind to nui was as shameful as it was pathetic. rats who allowed themselves to manipulated and then strutted around as if they were something greater than they really were left a bad taste in her mouth. she wished to dismiss the other from her mind, yet the gal kept herself open to the possibility that the feline would join the fight at any moment to back up her ally. nui would put no doubt behind it-- there was no honor within fights (she would not whine of the injustice), and she was almost eagerly waiting for the other to reinforce the pitt's apparent incompetence by displaying their inability to fight alone.

an elegant, practiced flick of her mind, and were shingles slinking from her roof-- two of them, for now. stressing herself with theatrics was a rookie's mistake. she'd aim them slamming into his outstretched jaw with a silent whiz through the crisp air with the intention of letting the dual blows rock his head to the side. oh yes. she had an audience too, didn't she? she truly didn't mind their presence; as long as they didn't die in the crossfire when she made the effort of intervening for their sorry hides.

"take notes, my dear children. first lesson for today. strike fast. keep yourself light on your feet! oh, and... be safe."

Re: SILVER TEETH IN SHADOW | Murder - rushy - 09-02-2018

[align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: 0px; font-family: verdana;"]As cocky and truly overconfident Cosette was, she did still know her limits. She was pretty, but there's no way that the xenomorph wouldn't turn her inside out at the speed of light. It towered above her, at least the size of 20 Cosettes, and it was capable of doing that creepy mouth thing. If they were up against The Pitt in battle (which she didn't foresee anytime soon), she would definitely choose a different opponent.

The sphynx was drawn by the noise though, unprepared for what she would see once she had rounded the corner onto the scene. Freaky. Cosette took a shaky breath, trying to keep her composure and sidestepped over to where Ikanaide was sitting and pressed side-to-side with the young fox slightly. They had a hard time getting along sometimes, but at the moment she couldn't find it in herself to be a bitch to her only sibling. It was way too tense for that.

Re: SILVER TEETH IN SHADOW | Murder - Ikanaide - 09-02-2018

Try, try, try again.
Now this was not a common sight, even for the ever presented not exactly cocky  Ikanaide, would quickly assume that even Blacktide somewhat scared their own sibling, which stopped any soon to present bitch comment, the young fox didn't mind that.  The silence was pleasent even if it was brought a upon the apparent fight that was happening right in front of them.

" Lovely day isn't it?" The fox muttered eyes barely straying from the fight, their tail carefully draping over Cosette's shoulder.
