More messages came at a rapid rate. Shine had to take some extra time to process them all, because before he could finish one, another came and threw his vision off. Oh well, he had plenty of time and wasn't going anywhere. He wished he could get out more, and attend stuff like the show. But doctor's orders prevented him from doing so. Plus Lessa would have a fit.

Shine: slow. got headbutted. still hurts.
...
Shine: that was a joke.

A small smile appeared momentarily, but it was gone afterwards.

Shine: i'd like that. have fun at show.

Then she would call and wave for a incoming cab. She would tell the taxi driver to drive her to Leon's place and she kept typing.

Ada We'll see you later tonight then, Shay, Margy?
Ada So, are we seeing a comedian or is it a concert?

Ada Good luck with your work, Lessa! Make sure to take breaks every so often!

Ada If you'd like Shine, I can come by and visit sometime tomorrow, though I hope you get some good sleep tonight!

✯ — Lessa hummed softly, re-adjusting her glasses for the umpteenth time.  Her eyes had sharpened in attention when she realized Shine had logged on, teeth catching on the inside of her cheek.

Lessa Have fun at the show guys <3
Lessa don't slack too much Thea c;
Lessa ^.^ I could probably take my lunchbreak now
Lessa business hasn't been bad, but it's slow today

Not that she minded all that much.  It was nice sometimes, to just be left alone with the plants, but she left that to herself.  The young botanist had always been that way perhaps.  It was easier to just... Be with plants.  Or the stars.  Hence why she managed to finagle putting up little glow-in-the-dark stars up on the shop's ceiling.  They probably only let her because she'd also painted the walls with intricate flowers as well.

Lessa if you want me to come by, Shine, that is
Lessa can bring tea

Phone vibrating a few more times, Thea risked a look at it as the teacher settled down at her desk, and she was quick to type out her reply.

Thea: Bev you're a killjoy. Tongue
Thea: And no promises lessa, and shay, I never get caught

Lies. She had been caught once or twice, but Shay and the others didn't need to know that, and fingers moved across the screen skillfully, hoping to get a few last words as eyes flitted towards the teacher.

Thea: As for the show, please tell me how it went soon???
Thea: And shine, I can visit. Are you sure I won't be annoying???

A nurse walked into the room, and Shine looked up at them to see what they were going to do. But they walked past him, heading to the other guy in the bed next to his. Most rooms held about two people each. The patient and nurse started talking, so he tuned them out and got back to looking at his phone. More messages had popped up.

Shine: that's fine. here for a while. not going anywhere.

Lessa had messaged him. He felt a small pang of sadness in his heart, wondering what to say.

Shine: of course. tea is nice.

Shine started typing for a bit, but then stopped before finishing the next message. He backspaced it all, muttering to himself, and decided to just respond to Thea instead.

Shine: not annoying. dealt with worse.
Shine: way worse.
