[ THE LUCIANO FAMILY GUIDE | CLANWIDE MAFIA | 7/15 ] - THE LUCIANO FAMILY - 07-12-2018

— INTRODUCTION
In this desperate world, there are the wolves and there are the sheep. The sheep are weak. They live minimalist lives and let their lives pass them by, the darkness of the night washing them away as if they were never here. The wolves, however, make their own way. They band together and hunt the sheep as a pack, using their combined strength to survive. This is the way of The Luciano Family. We're not just a family business. We're a hungry pack, looking to get what we want.
Naturally power-hungry and eager to achieve success, Lucky Luciano founded the crime family in the June of 2018. He finally got some like-minded individuals together and sprang into action, setting up their mafia's headquarters in an abandoned city. Since then, they have started operations and have begun to spread their influences to outsiders through dual-alliances and spies.

The Luciano Family resides in an abandoned metropolis. The buildings are pretty sturdy and are not far-along in abandonment, though they can tend to be dusty and overgrown with plant life.  There are a few skyscrapers, with the majority of the buildings being one and two story.

Its main headquarters are situated in an abandoned warehouse in the heart of the city, though only members of the family know how to get there (unless you stumble upon it by chance). The warehouse is bare and empty, though the gang has started to move in crates and barrels for use in their operations. Members usually drag in old couches, chairs, and other furniture to make the place more comfortable.

The members of the group may choose to sleep in the warehouse itself or in the abandoned houses and apartment complexes surrounding it.
THE BOSS is the head of the group and has the power to order anything from anyone in the family. The boss makes all the important decisions, much like an owner of a company would. They are usually greatly respected and widely feared by their subordinates.

THE UNDERBOSS is the second-in-command in the hierarchy. They are ready to stand in for the boss at any given moment. The underboss can easily find themselves at the helm of the group, so they are groomed for eventual leadership. They have most of the same powers that the boss has (accepting newcomers, handing out punishments), though not full authority unless given by the boss.

THE CAPOREGIMES, also known as the capos, are captains within the family. They head the guards and the soldiers and can order them to do anything. They make sure that their subordinates are trained and prepared for upcoming missions. The capos report directly to the boss or underboss, who hand down the instructions. They can issue punishments or warnings if needed and they may also give out tasks for the lower ranks to do.

THE GUARDS are trusted soldiers who have proved their worth in the family. They are recognized for their brains, loyalty, and strength. They are generally seen as higher authoritative figures in the ranking system that should be respected and listened to, though they still do not have the same permissions as their superiors do. They train under the Caporegimes and are expected to help them enforce authority.

THE SOLDIERS are the regular members of the hierarchy. They are the grunts of the group who do the majority of the work and demonstrate their loyalty to the family, protecting it at all costs. They generally stick out their necks in the hope of making a name for themselves.

— LAWS & FAQ
— Just a friendly reminder to put trigger/content warnings in your posts if it details murder/drugs/any content like that. Although this is a bad group, we'd still like to make everyone else feel comfortable OOCly!
— Your character is expected to pledge their entire loyalty to the family, meaning that they'd choose the family over other clans or their friends or other family. Your character is free to secretly betray this expectation, though, as it's ultimately up to you what they do ICly.
— Show respect to the high positions, especially the boss.
— Notify the underboss and the boss of trespassers and visitors from foreign groups immediately. If they cause trouble, bring them directly to the boss.
— Report to the boss if there is any suspicious activity within the group/the territory.
— Betraying the family is a cause for exile. You will be marked down as an enemy if you jeopardize the group. If you return after your exile, then you are free game for being attacked on sight.
— Injuring/disarming another family member is allowed if there is a good reason for it or if a threat is posed.
— Do not share the group's secrets with any outsider unless permitted by the boss.
— Raids and ally visits are to be permitted by the boss.
— Dual-alliances are allowed but are encouraged to be kept secret to avoid conflict.
— The Luciano surname is not required for your character. Your character may be stripped of it if they betray the family, however.

"So... is this a family? Or a group?"
[align=left]Well, it's both! It is a family, yes, but it's not just a last name that you slap onto yourself. It's a tight-knit mafia family that runs a crime empire together.

"Can my character living in another clan join the family?"
Yes, dual-alliances are allowed! The leader must know about it, though. Also, your character isn't encouraged to speak about the family's business and secrets to outsiders, so your dual-alliance may have to be kept a secret.

"Are there any requirements for joining this family?"
Anyone is allowed to join as long as they're not an enemy. See the "traditions" section.
GOODS & SERVICES
As we are a mafia, we offer goods as well as services to those willing to pay in exchange. Depending on what you want, you can pay in jewels, food, resources, and whatever else you can think of. We will take any customer, from loners to whole groups or individuals from neutral/allied groups.
Liquor: Our drinks are usually stolen, traded for, or brewed by the locals. Sold in full cases, packs, and single bottles.
Drugs: These are perhaps the priciest items that we have, considering the growing scarcity of narcotics. Scavenged from pharmacies and abandoned homes, we have drugs for medical and recreational use on the market.
Hitmen: The family specializes in murder. If you need someone "taken care of", you can hire us to do the dirty work.
Weapons: From daggers to swords to axes, we can provide you with weapons. The orders may vary depending on how much of the weapon we have in stock.

INITIATION
A person needs to prove their worth in order to become part of the family. Whether it's killing an enemy or making a contribution through food or riches, you need to give to the group. And, in return, your new family will provide you shelter, protection, and comradery. Usually, after initiation, a dinner will be held in the newcomer's honor.

SUPPLY RAIDS
When the family is in need of products to sell or just necessities in general, a raid patrol will be sent out to attack groups and merchants for their goods. The purpose of the raid can vary, from gathering food or stealing alcohol or drugs to later sell off.

— FOREIGN RELATIONS
The family is generally neutral with all groups but can make enemies due to a) the other group attacking them and b) the other group being weak and easy to take advantage of. They are open to alliances or truces to avoid bloodshed and also to form a business-like partnership, but they can snap partnerships off as easily as they agree to them. The Luciano Family only makes allies with groups that will benefit their business. Raids on enemies and even neutrals can be expected. Foreign relations can change suddenly at any time, so keep this in mind while seeking an alliance.
