open, m+g [★] without you - Tena M. - 05-21-2018

✯ — female. snowbound. sand cat. demdji. tags.
Admittedly, Tena had been avoiding the entire world.  Albeit friendly enough, the sand cat had perhaps spent too much time alone.  Too much time taking care of herself, too much time constantly looking over her shoulder, for her to truly grow comfortable.  Perhaps anywhere.  Even more, the young Demdji was perhaps still in denial of her displacement situation.  Everyday that passed was another day she had been apart from her brother.  A brother that had sworn with her, they'd stick together, after moons apart.  Everyday that passed was another day apart from the friends she had made elsewhere.  What did they think happened to her?  She was supposed to have their backs too.

She was alone again.  It hurt more this time, knowing that she had had something before, and now she once again did not.  Numbly, Tena stepped back inside the caves, distinct blue eyes dull and distracted.  Shouldn't she be out, trying to find a way back?  Shouldn't she be trying to send a message? Something?  She had danced this before.  If she made the same choice... If she tried to move on... Was that the right way to go?

The petite desert dweller huffed and grit her teeth.  Fact was, she didn't know where she'd look.  She didn't know how far away she was.  She'd gotten lost after all.  If she waited... Maybe Ebra would find her? Maybe... They were looking for her, weren't they?  Enough.  Time to get out of her shell.  At least, a little.

"… Hey! Meet and greet! I'm Tena."

Hymn of Ruin
LUCIFER GRIMM — SNOWBOUND — MALE — VERY DIFFICULT
"Are you quite alright?"

hm, mayhaps the little desert dweller - in snowbound? seemed odd but then who was he to dictate where one might live? - was lucky Lucifer tended to be careful of where his feet landed, as one had to be when one lived mostly amongst much smaller animals than he.

Luci would be rather horrified to accidentally step on a fellow snowbounder after all - still the dark dragon inclined his head down at the - hm another he didn't know the name of? from where he fairly loomed over them.

"my apologies, Lucifer Grimm, I don't believe we've met?"

Tena had to raise her eyes considerably, blinking up at the massive dragon that seemed to have appeared.  Every clan ought to have a tank, she supposed humoredly. "Oh, yes, I'm just trying to be a little more... Social, I suppose," the Demdji beamed.  Her entire heart was not in it, but she was a friendly feline by nature.  It had never been very hard, but she knew that her brother was far better at it than her.  He could make friends with anyone.  She kept everyone at arm's length.  It was safer that way.

"Grimm?" She could have sworn she knew someone with that surname.  At least, briefly.  Now that she thought about it, she was fairly certain; Grimm.  "I believe I knew someone named Grimm, though I believe this is the first time we've met," she wondered if this meant that she would run into some of her friends.  Granted the amount of people she had let grow close to her was painfully few; it was exceedingly unlikely, given the circumstances... Enough. "So um, pleasure to meet you," the young feline hummed, a tad sheepish.

Re: open, m+g [★] without you - ATBASH CIPHER. - 05-21-2018

ATBASH CIPHER
light the night up,
you're my dark star
"Aren't you a desert-dwelling creature?" Atbash seemed surprised that Tena was living here, and frankly, a little concerned. If sand cats were made for the desert, won't she have a hard time adjusting to the opposite type of weather they had here in Snowbound? And she was so tiny, too! It was good Tena was trying to be more social, though. Having more friends around meant more warmth (in addition to being able to know people in case of danger, among other reasons). "Oh! My name's Atbash Cipher, by the way."

Re: open, m+g [★] without you - guts - 05-21-2018

Aizawa wasn't the most outgoing person, either. But for different reasons, of course. He had always been a bit of a loner. His preferences laid more towards napping. But he knew that he'd have to get to know his clan-mates eventually. It was probably best to know a few people, in case the need for their help ever arose. He pads over with that thought in mind, looking down at the one who had initiated the meet and greet. She definitely didn't belong in a tundra full of snow.

"I'm Aizawa Shota," the lion sits and nods towards Tena. It good they're getting new members, at least.

Ah, so the common misconception goes.  Tena didn't resist the involuntary twitch of her whiskers, eyes twinkling in amusement.  "I'm going to guess you've never tried living in the desert," she remarked, curling her tail neatly over her paws.  "While it's true I'm built to withstand a lot of heat," and it was true, she knew, that the color of her fur was perfect camouflage as well, "the night is extremely cold in the desert.  So, even the desert dwellers have to learn to handle freezing temperatures.  Snow, is definitely something we don't get there, so that's the only real weird part out here." Though Tena had seen her fair share of snow since she ran away from home.  While snow was growing a tad tiresome, the sand cat was still fascinated by rain and the like.  Seeing water pour down from the sky was a marvel hard to get over.

Well, it seemed everyone was giving full names, huh.  She shuffled her paws. "Oh, my full name is Tena Moonspinner." Not that it would have any meaning to anyone out here, no, she did not think so.  Names were rather fascinating, especially when they had real meaning behind them, but she rarely asked if anyone knew the meaning.  "It's nice to meet you two."

Re: open, m+g [★] without you - | KILLUA ZOLDYCK | - 05-22-2018

[align=center]
[shadow=darkblue,right]KILLUA[/shadow]
.
Killua had never really been a fan when it came to warm places. He wasn't exactly sure why, especially when he had been born in a territory that was primarily trees and nothing else. The young male had grown used to the cold after being stationed in so many different areas that his targets were in at the time. The albino serval didn't have to worry about getting cold either thanks to one of the powers that he did have. The one that could control the temperature of the air around him with ease, the power that he was actually born with and had complete control of when he grew up and before he became an apprentice. Killua had a life where he had no choice but to get better and then ultimately use the skills that he had attained to take the lives of others. Not exactly something that was easy for him to do later on, but being born into a place like that certainly made it easier for him at least. The albino serval blinked his sapphire blue eyes when he heard voices in the distance. It wasn't exactly hard to hear him coming, but it wasn't him that someone would hear, and instead, it would be the massive 11ft long fur covered Hellhound that was walking behind him every step of the way. It pissed him off that he was stuck with the family's guard dog right now, but he didn't really have that much of a choice. He could kill the creature, but then it would show his family that there was something up and they would probably come to him themselves. He had no choice but to deal with Mike, although he was making some progress considering that the other wasn't on top of him constantly, and instead just slightly behind him. Killua's own movements were incredibly silent thanks to his air elementals and he had no scent attached to his body despite the slightly bloodied bandages that were wrapped around his throat and his right arm. He recognized everyone except the one that was holding the meet and greet. The Snowstriker's ears were pointed toward the Sand cat, a species that he remembered being on the border but he was fairly certain that he had never heard their name up until now. Tena. Interesting. The albino serval sat himself a little bit off to the side of the rest of the group, a pounding headache raging across his forehead, something that had happened recently and something that he couldn't get away from him. "Even if you aren't used to snow, doesn't seem like you hate it all that much." The Snowstriker would state calmly noting the other's body language. He obviously could tell that there was something bothering her, but he wasn't going to pry like he didn't want other's to pry. A neutral expression was spread across his facial features as he opened his jaws, a lollipop seeming to come out of thin air as it landed in his mouth. He swirled the candy around, sticking it between his cheek and his teeth before he spoke again. "Name's Killua." The serval would say with a slight Japanese accent toward the sand cat. However, the assassin didn't even seem to bother to try and introduce the beast that was hovering behind him.

Re: open, m+g [★] without you - ATBASH CIPHER. - 05-22-2018

At least Tena took the stereotype well. Atbash looked taken aback slightly when she twitched her whiskers in amusement and shook her head at the little feline’s question. ”I haven’t, actually.” Although the desert sounded a bit like home, save for the fact that it was almost always cold. ”But it’s nice to meet you as well!” She quickly went on with a chirp. ”I hope you like it here so far?”

Hymn of Ruin
LUCIFER GRIMM — SNOWBOUND — MALE — VERY DIFFICULT
Lucifer nodded sagely and hummed in agreement "Socialising can be difficult - as I've found here and there" could be considering just his presence was usally enough for some people to start eying him suspiciously - or stare at the large red scarring marring half his face, neck and partially his chest.

couldn't really blame them there even if it did make him uncomfortable - after all, the wound had not been meant to be survived.

though he did snort lightly at the next "ah that wouldn't be such a strange thing - used to be quite a few of my family running around even if thats not whom you meant" he smiled idly, he did miss it sometimes - though even he could admit he did have quite the extensive family.

his eyes glanced to the side as he moved to settle down on the ground "Hello again Atbash" nice to see the cipher around, one of the few he knew for sure.

though he spared a nod of greeting for Aizawa and Killua in turn.

VALEMON
male — 9 months — snowbound — member — tags — rped by Autumnleaf
Despite living here, Val substantially preferred the heat. Warm temperatures were usually more friendly toward his favorite things: birds and flowers. And, the first he’d seen snow was a confusing time, indeed. It certainly didn’t look as cold and wet as it was.

The young lion joined the small group around the sand cat and offered a friendly smile. He would probably never understand the struggles of being shy. At least, not in a familiar environment. Parties in other Clans were sometimes overwhelming for him. “Hello, ‘m Val!” he greeted.
