MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - Brutus - 09-01-2020

With the arrival of the stone pillars and the mythical tree amongst the crater, the animals of the land deemed this their meeting's new home. On the day of their first meeting, the glowing stones rose into the sky. Clear skies allowed them to be seen with ease, promising the quick arrival of many to their home. Everyone wondered what they would discuss today. Peace? War? Neutrality? The idea set many on edge. With four, now five even, clans on the horizon, the mystery was unpredictable.

GAEL Ó BROIN
The vulpine heard news of the strange tree from his daughter -- a place sprung out of the ground with unusual gems that cast lights into the sky.  When he saw sudden light cut through the open sky, the faerie knew exactly where they led.  And it may be worth the visit.

The new Ardent departed with a simple command to the Pitt -- those who desired to come may, but he believed it be more strategic to observe than incite any violence during this time.  Gael viewed knowledge as a far more powerful commodity than brute force and aggression.

Finding himself the first, Gael twitched his ear as he regarded the Pitt's entryway and the red gem within.  A fascinating and unusual occurrence -- even to he who had known the earth for well over a number of centuries.  It may be the topic of his next painting, whenever he held a moment to himself.

The faerie was nothing if not a stone of calm and ease as he took a silent seat -- patiently awaiting for others to arrive.  In the meantime, his golden gaze remained steady on the tree, thoughts resting on the intriguing place.

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - ROXANNE R. - 09-01-2020

me dejaste, me dejaste en un tango
Roxanne had offered to go in the place of her niece, she hadn't been in the most stable mind but she knew that keeping busy would silence the static in her mind. The draconic feline having made her trip without saying anything else to her crewmates that she had left behind in home, her eyes would glance up to the side noticing the light that shone brightly... Calling to her almost. Her body swaying slightly but she tried not to let her mind linger on what had happened the past few days, she knew that she would have to hold a funeral for her dead child. Her heart aching as she recalled how he had been cold in her arms.

Approaching the area with the large tree, Roxanne would spot Gael though her gaze was disinterested the entire time. Regardless, the gem that seemed to belong to her group would dim down from its once glowing state. She couldn't show weakness, she was here standing in for her niece and Roxanne knew this well. She found a spot where she sat down without much of a word only to turn her dull gaze in the direction of the vulpine, both ears perked forward. Roxie cleared her throat only to remark rather playfully despite her voice sounding very tired "You come 'ere often?" Whether or not, Gael answered her... Rox wouldn't care. Everything was numb and all she heard was the static noise in her mind.

EN EL ALMA SE ME FUE, SE ME FUE EL CORAZÓN
YA NO TENGO GANAS DE VIVIR, PORQUE NO TE PUEDO CONVENCER
QUE NO TE VENDAS, ROXANNE

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - VIGENERE CIPHER. - 09-01-2020

[glow=white,1,400]LYING THROUGH YOU TEETH AGAIN !。+゚.[/glow]
Vigenere was wary of coming here, especially considering his recent capture and how Tanglewood would be left leaderless for the moment; but he trusted Nicabar - hopefully the tom wouldn't follow him here. Of course, if Nicabar did, Vigenere couldn't really say much, but regardless, the savannah hoped his Shadowrunner wasn't idiotic enough to leave Tanglewood unarmed. Vigenere mostly was here to see The Typhoon and Elysium, to check how both groups were doing at the moment, and while he knew The Pitt would show up, the Luminary was surprised to get a whiff of their scent.

"You have a lot of nerve coming here after that stunt you pulled." Vigenere growled as he passed Gael, speaking loud enough for the new Ardent to hear, but did not look at the fox as he went towards Tanglewood's spot, with the gem slowly dimming as he approached. As he sat and wrapped his tail around his paws, Vigenere looked over at Roxanne with a concerned frown. "Is Goldenluxury okay?" Why would Roxanne be here representing The Typhoon instead of their Captain?[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - kinglykingstone - 09-02-2020

Twins. Strangers. Brothers. Four paws walked towards the gemstones that invited them forwards, twin tails flicking behind them as they approached, two heads studying those already gathered. As the creature approached, they watched the violet stone fade with interest.

They recognized not those gathered, though the single name that was thrown around rang a bell. "Hello all," greeted the silver tabby head, Hani, his blue eyes landing on Gael in particular. For Alani, he greeted them with a flick of his orange tabby tail, his gaze falling on Roxanne and Vigenere. "Hello, there! I'm Alani, it's nice to meet you!" Without missing a beat, Hani picked up the conversation. "And I am Hani, how fares your groups?"

The tiny dealer fell in step with Roxie, silent as her ears perked.  Someone from the Pitt was already present.  Something familiar about them.  Could that be her cousin?  Gael?  Was he here for the Pitt?  But Roxie and Vigenere had mentioned someone else at the head...

Keona hummed softly as she took a seat, pale hues following the sounds of everyone's voices.  Curious but not speaking as each leader arrived.  The Pitt.  Tanglewood.  Elysium.  Among them she only knew the Luminary.  Of course... If that was Gael, then she had family among the gathered.

She shuffled her paws idly, curling her tail around herself neatly.  "She's okay," the fae would offer Vigenere quietly, not terribly interested in discussing the status of their captain amongst so many strangers.  Grief had become unfortunately apparent within the Typhoon.  Especially with another recent loss.

Keona would rather distance herself for a moment.  Breathe.  Focus on work.  Politics.  She had to help Goldie and Roxie take care of everyone.  She had to help them.  They didn't deserve the pain they were going through.

Her head tilted towards the sound of Hani's voice, momentarily confused as it seemed to come from nearly the exact same place as Alani's.  "Aloha.  'm Keona."

"We're well." As well as they could be through the losses.  "... If you don' mind me asking, did somethin' happen to Warringkingdoms?"  In truth, the petite fae knew little of Elysium, but their Magna had visited a number of times.  She knew that much.

Following the topic of new leaderships, her head did tilt towards the nearby vulpine.  Curious still.  Perhaps many changes were afoot.

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - VALE - 09-02-2020

All feathers and energy, the crow tippy tapped on a low-hanging branch of the mystical tree. Vale hadn’t believed the rumors until ze saw the glowing stones for zirself. Having seen them, Vale still didn’t particularly care about their significance. Not a religious, spiritual, or even loyal fellow, the changeling never considered ‘sacrilege’ as a deterrent.

Red eyes glinting, Vale watched the animals trickling in. Ze spotted a particularly interesting rack of horns—which may form the best perch for the whole damn night—and chittered to zirself.

Hopping off the branch, zir wings unfolded, and ze gently swooped down, riding the night’s cooling air currents. Cawing, the crow touched down, zir talons gripping Roxanne’s draconic horns. Straightening up, Vale fluffed out zir wings.

“Aww, this looked so much more interesting from up there. At least I could imagine all the nasty little things you’d be saying to each other,” Vale said, tutting softly. “Why are you all so silent? Entertain me!”

One of Vale’s feathers dropped off. Then another, and another. The avian’s skin shivered and contorted, body elongating and flattening out. Vale beat zir wings again, the only part of zir body thus far untouched by the shapeshifting.

The black mamba coiled around Roxanne’s horn, wings outstretched. “But! But I know none of you know me. Hello, hello! Vale Aston. There. Meet and greet done.” Zir forked tongue flicked out. “See how utterly useless that was? Oh my god, Becky, look at that shapeshifting thingy. At least now we know zir name.”

The winged serpent huffed, glancing over the other animals for a second. “You. Two heads. Leader of the star watching idiots, right? Yeah, yeah, I know—I used to fucking live there, my brother used to lead the place, don’t bother yapping about explaining yourself. Just tell me, bozo, are you going to finally make that shithole less boring? Seriously, I don’t even know when I left! I think I just sleepwalked my way right out, and my life instantly improved!”

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - gael - 09-02-2020

[align=center]
GAEL Ó BROIN
The rarity of a pirate speaking with any amiability is enough to gain the vulpine's ear -- eyes intrigued as he noticed the draconic nature of the feline.  A likely familial connection to a certain young boy if he ever saw one.

The exhaustion holds him silent for longer; he knew that look.  It was one he saw in the mirror often, when the memories and grief sank heavy into his heart and soul.  "First time, you?"  Gael decided to speak in turn, though his words came more stiff than intended -- enough so he found himself withholding a sigh.  Small talk made little sense to the faerie in the end, even after all this time.

As Vigenere made his appearance known, the Ardent only flicked his ear in a minimal acknowledgement of the Luminary's fury.  If the savannah sought to judge him on the actions of his predecessors, he would pay him full in kind -- at another time.  He did not come with the intent to antagonize, but to listen and observe.

As Hani and Alani spoke, Gael offered his full attention -- to speak in relative unison must be no small feat.  Impressive. "A pleasure.  Call me Gael."

Soon his golden gaze shifted however, thoughtful as a tiny feline spoke besides the tired pirate.  Her resemblance to the twins and sightless eyes offered no doubt to who she was.  Keona.

The vulpine failed to find time to confront the familial matter before one of his own made zer presence known.  Swift irritation ran through the Ardent like a gust of wind.  "Aston.  Mind personal space, this is the only warning I will give you."

"This gathering is not meant for your entertainment -- if you wish to attend, you can do so sitting on your own.  If that's too lackluster for you, then go home."

The icy warning rang clear in his crisp voice.  The faerie did not break his promises -- if the shapeshifter continued to exhibit the blatant show of disrespect, he planned on knocking the air out of zer lungs himself.

The tree.  Aine recalled its appearance.  Didn't entirely want to go.  All the lights in the sky... All of the groups... But her father was going.  Her father.  She didn't want him to go alone.  Not when so many hated them...

The petite deer-fox crept up quietly behind her father, hazel hues darting and zipping around the gathered with antsy energy.  Never staying still.  The wings at her sides shuffled, ears flattening at the Tangler in particular.

Always Tanglewood.  She bit the inside of her cheek.  Smoke.  Flames.  Slightly abrupt, she pressed her flank against her father's in a seek for comfort.  Four. . . Seven. . . Eight. . .

Vale earned a frown from the little Fleshweaver.  Personal space meant a great deal to the druid.  It was rude to ignore it like that.  "Thi-this isn't for fun," she muttered irritably.  This was certainly not her idea of fun.  Besides... Her father had made it very clear they weren't coming to antagonize anyone.

Did no one listen? ... He meant it.  Aine knew him well enough to know.  Disobedience wouldn't be taken lightly.  Not in an already tense setting.

She shuffled her hooves, slowly taking a seat, sticking as close to her father as she could.  Four. . . Seven. . . Eight. . .

Re: MONTHLY MEETING [SEPTEMBER 2020] - VALE - 09-02-2020

The serpent’s flesh melted, black goop running down Roxanne’s horns and white bone peeking out. Left wing then right wing ruffled, and the shapeshifting creature dropped to the ground in an undignified clump of goop. The flesh twitched and wiggled, the spot becoming bigger and bigger until the skeleton started taking shape again.

The jaguar’s skull formed first, two red eyes gleaming out of white pits. A grey tongue lolled out of the gaps between the molars and fangs, and Vale’s chuckle echoed in zir forming lungs. “Oh, I’m sorry, am I embarrassing you? Does my personality embody the Pittian spirit more than you? Does my disregard for your leadership in front of these clenched buttholes make you feel threatened?” The muscle and connective tissue formed on zir skull as ze talked, and Vale’s voice gradually became louder and clearer.

Vale stood up, paws growing skin first, then the biological tissue ran over the rest of zir flesh prison. Zir tail flicked like a whip. Ze turned, huffily, to the deer-fox small thing.

“If this isn’t for fun, then what the bloody hell is it for? There’s no agenda or any trite shit. We’re here because some stones shot light into the air and you superstitious lot decided to come.”

Vale’s smirk stretched over zir teeth far too wide. “But that is only my opinion, you understand.” Those baleful red eyes slid back to Gael. Zir head tilted, neck popping all the way down from the base of zir skull down to zir shoulder blades. “I’ll mind my feets, paws, claws, and any other extremities, Oh Great and Wise Cu,” ze said, smirking wider, at zir own private joke.

“But everything is my entertainment, do you not understand? You best get used to it.” Ze raised a paw, pressing zir jaw to the right until it popped. “Honestly, it is a much better look for you, if you let me do my shit without barking up my ass. Pretend all of this is going according to plan, okay? Why should anyone fear the Pitt if you, as a leader, will cut off your own nose to spite your face?”
