CONGREGANTS OF GENESIS

Congregants of Genesis is a religious group that focuses on worshipping Neandryne, the God of change, while living in a boreal forest that is surrounded by cold, snowy conditions and dangerous glacier cliff that drop into a dangerous ocean. 

HISTORY

For many years, Congregants of Genesis have worshipped Neandryne, the God of change. They have slaved away at pleasing them and their many incarnations throughout many generations. As of recent though, their God's latest incarnation hasn't shown up, leading them to believe the previous incarnation has passed. Even so, as time goes on, the group worries. When will their God show their face once again?

Under the lead of Montgomery Scarborough, the archon is determined to make things right and bring their God back to the Congregants of Genesis. Desperate times may call for desperate measures.

LEGATE — Below the archon is the legate. They are the archon's trusty right hand and are next in line to lead upon the archon's retirement. Like the archon, their word is absolute and can only be overridden by the archon.

CAVALIER — The legate rules over the cavaliers who run the forces sector. They defend the territory from any threats and lead battles when provoked.
Unlimited slots, but preferably under three.

HARBINGER — Harbingers are religious leaders, preaching the word of the one true God at religious ceremonies. As servants of change, they also oversee any injuries and medical needs of the group. 
Unlimited slots, but preferably one or two.

ACOLYTE — Underneath the Harbinger lies the acolytes. They are in training under the command of the harbinger and archon to learn medical skills and further about the group's religion.
Unlimited slots, preferably under three.

EXEMPLAR — The exemplars bring up everyone's spirits and have proven to be loyal members. They are in charge of running any events within the territory and are often used as ambassadors to manage relationships with other groups.

APPLICATION

The applications that'll be prioritized will have to have an active and interesting character with significant plots in mind. There is also no specific length needed to apply, as quality is better than quantity. 

The higher the position, such as legate, the more consideration and time will be taken into the decision. You could also apply lower and work your way through the ranks too! Just post, plot, and keep active within the community. That is all it takes!

Character name: Lucia Scarborough

Potential plots: Her chronic pain condition becomes worse with time. Oops, this causes problems.

Character biography/description:
Lucia is a lynx x rabbit hybrid. She has a number of mutations, including venomous fangs full of neurotoxins, which might explain her neon blue and pink color palette. She is adapted to swim (webbed toes, waterproof coat), but not for the sheer cold of CoG's territory. As such, while she swims every morning and can reliably procure crabs, shellfish, and other seafood, she can only stay in the CoG's water for an hour or less at a time. Otherwise, she risks hypothermia.

Lucia wasn't born in CoG. That much is obvious by her mutations. She was born into the Descendants of the Departed, which explains her mutations for swimming and her ease in the water. While she publicly supports Neandryne, she privately continues believing in Requiem and Vayu. Even as she, herself, understands how this is irrational. However, nobody will ever hear her private beliefs. And there is enough overlap between Requiem's reincarnation and Neandryne's cycles of change that she can be quite convincing and, even, sincere.

Most people in CoG will know Lucia as an excellent hunter for seafood, a helpful set of paws who dislikes conflict, and Monty's girlfriend.

Character Name: Branwen Shadowmend
Position(s) Desired: Acolyte
Potential Plots: Branwen is exceptionally empathetic, and as such she struggles with being sympathetic to Monty and Lucia's personal plight (due mostly to her being a friend of Lucia's) and with understanding the rest of the Congregants' frustrations. She's personally very stressed about the current social climate and prays to Neandryne religiously (pun intended), but is becoming more and more worried by the lack of an answer or a sign. (Maybe she secretly helps Monty sneak supplies away for Lucia, too, and struggles with the guilt of doing so.)
