i understood loneliness ● draekon - bai shi - 07-31-2019 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " what do you got to lose? " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- they hadn't heard from him in days, and they were getting concerned. call it their own damned mind and heart, caring so easily for others in a greedy attempt to fix the holes of those that they had lost. so yes, call them greedy that they dare care again about someone other than themself. the golden dragon was on the hunt, high up above the jungle, their body casting a shadow far below, using their wind ability to sore happily and easily, maw spread in a roar of relaxation. swooping down near the lake that they had first met draekon, the dragon let their body fold in on itself, yawning as they shrunk down into their jaguar body, tail flicking. crouching at the water's edge, they began to lap slowly, drinking to quench their thirst. knowing that somewhere along their path, they would find the tiger they searched for, the jaguar got to their feet, horns catching the dying glimmers of sunlight, the scales peeking through their fur described all of the scars that their body wore, silver hints of blood showing through cracks in the scales, the scales darker in the places where their skin had been burned and ravaged by a heated knife not so long ago. the freshest scars to don their visage, were the scars across their face, the very wound that had robbed them of their eyesight. swinging their head about at yhe sound of a splash in the lake, they pushed their body forward automatically, taking chase after the deer that had blundered into the lake. taking it down was easy, the deer's desperate cry being cut short by their maw closing over its muzzle, digging in and crushing the fragile bones, snarling softly. their claws dug into its neck and chest, freeing the maw to bite into its throat and claim the prey animal's life. a suitable gift for the newest addition to the pitt, and an attempt to help him fill his stomach. dragging the deer behind them, the jaguar would hunt for draekon, nose twitching and blocking out the scent of blood, searching for the tiger's scent among the rest within the territory. draekon wasn't one to enjoy company. however, he didn't mind it, especially considering what he had been through in the past few days. at least he was able to eat again, not have to resort to tadpoles and tiny bugs to satisfy his hungry any longer. after so much hunting, he had ended up falling asleep on a rock in the sunlight, but when he awoke, it was dark and he was hungry angry. a soft grunt left him as he got to his feet, heat still radiating off his mostly black fur.. [sub][W]isker[/sub]however, the scent of blood caught his nose and he didn't know if he wanted to track it. then again.. he was hungry. he had started following the scent, and when he found what he was looking for, he didn't even register who was carrying it- or that anyone was carrying it. it was almost like tunnel vision. he had gotten down low, a soft growl erupting from deep in his throat as he stalked closer. /this is so bad im so sorry Re: i understood loneliness ● draekon - bai shi - 07-31-2019 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- BAI SHI " what do you got to lose? " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- their ear twitched at the low growl, head turning as they dropped the deer's corpse to the ground, turning around to try and figure out where it was coming from. behind them? ah crap, it was. doing their best to move out of the way of the stalking tiger, the jaguar chuckled to themselves, sitting on their haunches after fixing their pouch and harness for their jian. "you must be hungry." same sorry aaa // Re: i understood loneliness ● draekon - gregory - 07-31-2019 draekon - the pitt - member / burn it all down
dont worry about it dude :^0 // [sub][W]isker[/sub]all he offered as a grunt as he tore into the deer- he was always so hungry, but he guessed he had a good reason to be. he was starved. hopefully he’d start gaining some weight soon, but it’d take a lot more then a few meals. he still hadn’t even registered bai yet, but once the other spoke, he seemed to process his surroundings a bit more. he looked at bai mid-chew, swallowing quickly and sitting up, front paws shuffling a little. he wanted to respond, but how? a few soft chuffs left him, pupils dilated as he searched him mind. everything felt slow. “always.” he growled softly before going right back to tearing apart the tear. " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- oh, that was ... that was a nice voice, they would discover, listening to his single word and playing it back in their mind. somehow, his voice fit his situation, envisioning the hunger and the desperation that made up part of who he was at this point. now came a different query, "does speaking hurt?" they were curious, and they didn't care to cause him anymore agony then they must. tilting their head to the side, they listened quietly to the crunch of bones and tear of muscles, eyes lidded with a groan of relaxation, stretching out their shoulders and sinking their claws into the ground before them, sniffing the air for a scent of rain or prey animals. right, an introduction, "i don't think i've ever introduced myself, not when we met? if we did, i apologize, my mind is rather full with other situations. my name is bai shi, but those who are closest to me call me lynn, but feel free to call me xiaodan as well. lynn was a nickname given to me by my deceased partner when we were young, because my name was a little too complex to annunciate. i go by they or them, just easier but if wished, masculine works." they would laugh softly. tail flicking softly, they looked a tad embarrassed by their words, trying to wear a smile, "im sorry about jervis, he can be a bit rough around the edges." they would comment softly. why were they talking so much? they were just curious about how he was settling in. "ah, in regards to the starving, its best to work your way from small to big meals or else it will greatly upset your stomach and cause illness that will impede on any progress, just a word of warning.", they had seen and experienced the irrational need to gorge one's self, and the horrible results afterwards. so much talking. a soft grunt left him as he tried to take in all the words being said to him, his ears falling back against his skull. he would stare at bai with slightly wide eyes, his face scrunching a bit. names, pronouns, something about leader man- he thinks hes the leader here- something about food. does speaking hurt? "yes." one word at a time. "draekon. he." thats all he could really think to say at the moment. " --------------------------------------------------------------------------- their body posture would relax, the being settling in the grass with a tail flick, "it's my pleasure to meet you draekon. if you need help, feel free to come to me. I can take place of your voice if you need it.", they rumbled warmly, trying to be friendly to the other. he had been met by a shrill angry voice in the beginning when he had come here, and they hoped that perhaps, as silly as it seemed, create a friendly bond with someone. they had lost a lot, and maybe, if they could help someone else out and make that person's life a bit easier, they might feel better about everything. |
