can't we just enjoy our lives / joining - cherrypaw. - 06-25-2019

[align=center][div style="0px; width:400px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px;"]his eyes snapped open, much as they had done so many times before, and cherrypaw audibly let out a groan that could be heard for miles, probably. and even if it couldn't, cherrypaw would believe that it could.

"not this again," the feline grumbled, rubbing the sleep? death? death. rubbing the death from his eyes, he noticed everything still seemed in place. his blue kerchief was still fashioned around his neck as a scarf, hiding a scar he was surprised managed to stay there after the umpteenth death.

okay, so no major makeover, but that didn't change the fact cherry was going to have live with this whole "being alive" bullshit again.

"hey!" he croaked, his voice far from pleasant. "somebody. get here. please."

FOURTHWALL FALLOUT
BLACK/GOLD HELLHOUND - MALE - 19 MONTHS - THE PITT

Fourthwall knew what it was like to just keep going, like some kind of fucked up energizer bunny. Granted, his experiences with death still remained few and far between- his Writer was too much of a sap to keep killing him off over and over only to bring him back- but he'd felt the dull sting of death on more than one occasion, and the stretches in between were long.  Things like a 'proper timeline' had never really meant much to Fourth, mainly because time itself was a foreign concept to him. Sure, there were hours and days and months that he acknowledged, markers of time passed, but none of them had ever meant anything to him outside of putting a name to something. This, largely, was due to the fact that Fourth hadn't actually aged in a very long time. He looked to be the age of any average young adult, perhaps early twenties should he have been human, and yet his childhood seemed so far away. Everything did. Leaving his family behind. Joining Bloodclan. Meeting Awol. Joining the Blackheart Rogues. Falling for Izzy. Dying for the first time. Dying the second time.

No matter what happened, there was always time to move on. To keep going. To start over.

And that's exactly what he'd done with the Pitt. It was the chance to live a new version of his old life, to do things differently but also the same. He knew it didn't make much sense but he didn't really care either- it was for him to understand, nobody else. All that really mattered was that he was a Pittian now, and it wasn't uncommon for either he or Kydobi to be out patrolling the borders on their own like this. Both the jaguar and Fourthwall had a habit of seeking out the newcomers of the clan, and so it wasn't surprising that at least one of them would be among the first to find the stranger calling out on the border. Wine red eyes would spot the pink feline easily enough from where they'd called out, and the hellhound would make his way over with a casual stride.

"Well, since you asked so nicely." the canine would reply, sarcasm heavy in his words but his tone not entirely unfriendly. A monster Fourthwall may have been, but he was a social monster at that, the sort that craved community and chance encounters like this. "You look like you've seen better days. The name's Fourthwall, you here to join or did you just plan to cook out here in the sun?" he'd inquire, totally fine if their choice was the latter- new joiners were always a bonus, but he wasn't about the cut the guys fun short if it was a crazy sunburn he was after instead.
