Hate your friends . joining . C/G - J. ADALGAR - 05-20-2019 Revenge is such a bad word, something so easy to attain should not be so damning. A fine line between what is right and wrong crossed by fixing said wrong. Hebi disliked it, this bickering- this ceaseless battle to violence - all his life he wanted peace. Peace to live with his family alone in the quiet - be happy and hunt at their leisure. But such peace- such hopeful ambition was twisted horribly wrong. For his home- his family where threatened- killed by the ghosts of revenge. Never safe because everyone was out for them- to kill-slaughter for revenge. The Jaguar was quiet- solem in comparison to the vibrant life around him. Even steps only halted by the tightening of his binds - his children. All three clung to the panther in their own ways. Ira curled along his neck like a loose necklace, careful the the jaggad canines strung across his neck. Furror buried under the joint of his wing, lazing under soft down. Asure, tricky little thing was resting lazily atop his head, curled between two outcropping stubs that were barely even labeled as horns. He made a sorry sight, eyes half closed in apathy as he sauntered closer and closer towards the previously abandoned border that hosted a school. A clasp filled with cut off tails- macabre as they were swung idly behind the beast and his companions as he trekked, stilling at the border. Re: Hate your friends . joining . C/G - Crackers - 05-21-2019 MALAKAI DIMERA TIGER X SABERTOOTH - MALE - 21 MONTHS - CONQUEST/GREENSIDE OOC- OMG I remember Hebi now!! He took my boy Olivers tail and you made some art for it, over in the Exiles, I believe? The snakes got me remembering lol xD Malakai felt as if he'd lived more lifetimes than he could suffer. There was a tiredness that seaped through to his very bones and the weight upon his shoulders was easily felt in an almost physical sense. The moments when he was alone or idle were when he felt it the most. It was this reason more than anything that he'd decided to undertake the founding of a new group. His entire life Malakai had been a successful member of a large clan, usually a high position if not outright leading. The life of a loner just didn't sit well with him. When you had a life that was dedicated to caring for and protecting others it set a bar of standards that would expect to be met from then on, and failing to do so only left him feeling frustrated and anxious. He felt though that things had to be different this time around. His recent resurrection had brought him back in a younger body and he felt on the urge of bursting from some sense of purpose. He had something important to do this time around, had a mark to leave before he was finally gone for good, and with the claiming of Greenside and the creation of Conquest, he felt he finally knew what that purpose was now. - The stretch of land he'd claimed for his new clan was beautiful by anyones standard. Stretching in every direction as far as the eye could see were lush green fields and gentle sloping hillsides, a deep blue sky filled with the fluffiest looking clouds you'd ever see running equally endless overhead. The weather here was often quite good for 3 out of the 4 seasons, though come winter things could be a bit rough given the fact that there was nothing to break up the winds that came from rushing in during the winters, meaning that things could be quite rough if they didn't prepare properly. Luckily Malakai had thought of that in advance. The school was massive and well tended, it's stonework well made for standing up to the brutalities of the harsher season. They also had The Farm, which despite being smaller and less equipped for the rough winters was able to provide them with enough meats, fruits, and vegitables to last the winter, and the work they did in the south of Greenside where the woodland was allowed them to also be well stocked on firewood to keep the fireplaces and cooking stoves going. Indeed, it seemed that Malakai had covered all the bases he could. Everything was just as it needed to be, though it was missing one key component. Members. It would be the hardest part of his endevor and the sabertooth spent most of his time patrolling the borders of his new home. It wasn't hard to do given the unbroken sightlines and he was quick to spot the approaching form of someone off in the distance from where he was on the third floor of the school. Greenside was a lace that, above all, protected it's own, and never should a stranger get close to the school without being intercepted, an so the tiger looking feline was quick to make his way outside and meet the stranger out at the border. Icey blue eyes would land on the other, not unfriendly, but formal. In fact much of everything was stiff and formal about Malakai, though generally not unkind so long as he was given a reason not to be. "Hello, traveller." he'd call as he approached, offering a tight-lipped smile and nod of his head in greeting, noting that they'd respected the borders he'd set. "What brings you to Greenside?" "SPEECH Re: Hate your friends . joining . C/G - J. ADALGAR - 06-01-2019 It rubbed the jaguar raw being out in the open, unhidden by the undergrowth that the loner had previously thrived in. All his life he had the larger sloping trees to equally bask and hide into, shade to relax in and sun for his children. The Jaguar felt the itch to flee deeper into the forestry that lined the borders of this claimed land, but the quick spotting of the larger feline stilled his movements. Stone cold grey eyes narrowed in speculative but not outright unkind manner. Hebi was naturally suspicious of others - it's hard not to, raised alone with only his brother - who betrayed him - grew up in a clain and called it home; only to be hunted down just for association. He was an exile, down to the core of him - running running. Until no one knew his name, until he forgot it himself. He goes by Hebi now, in loner lands it's easier. A flicker of the same trepidation as Malakai drawls in, Asura takes on the defensive - the most hostile of the three. They don't speak - don't hiss at all, just a small flicker of his eldest's tongue, tasting the air- the threat. A hissing snake is a bluffing snake. It's the silent snake you should fear, and all of his children fall silent at the stranger. Hebi mules this over - he could kill him now- sned his children and overwhelm him with the four of them. Hebi is weary - being a loner- being an exile makes him quick to assess. A snap decision to either kill a loner and make off with their tail pinned to his hip and a meal secured. This mindset transfered over to his kids just as easily as it did him. "[glow=#DEDEDE,25,300]Sanctuary.[/glow]" Hebi responds, automatic, with a sudden clarity that this place is vacant - void of anyone but the two of them. The five now, Hebi has been in clans before- few and far in between. This isn't his first clean slate - but this is the first one a clan had. First one he had the opportunity to shape. "[glow=#DEDEDE,25,300]Name's Jammal, but I go by Hebi.[/glow]" He doesn't say why- doesn't think it's necessary to. "[glow=#DEDEDE,25,300]We could use a fresh start, a home If you watch out back- we will watch yours.[/glow]" He offers, it isn't in their natures to trust- Snakes or solitary creatures - Hebi is similar. He doesn't like clans much anymore. Politics, lies, Reputations. He prefers to live on his own, but being a loner is a dangerous thing now a days. Maybe he could relearn to become a member of a clan. For the right place - the right leader. //oml i'm sorry this took so long qdghbeqb Yes Jammal is the snake king no one can convince me otherwise <3 Re: Hate your friends . joining . C/G - Crackers - 06-02-2019 MALAKAI DIMERA SABERTOOTH X TIGER - MALE - 21 MONTHS - CONQUEST/GREENSIDE Icy blue eyes were drawn the snakes for only but a moment before returning to Hebi. Malakai had no fear of serpents, and weather the other looked at them as children or not, Malakai seen them as pets- and he trusted people to control their animals. For that reason alone he wasn't deterred by them, and if the other failed to keep them in line than Malakai would find his own ways to do so. Like Hebi, he was a creature of vigilance and suspicion. The phrase 'innocent until proven guilty' was often flipped right on it's head for the sabertooth, who had a tendency to suspect until he was given a reason not too. This judgemental streak was necessary though because people would eventually come to depend on it. Right now Greenside was still a work in progress, a Kingdom waiting to be filled. But once was thriving it would be up to him and the others of Conquest to keep the snakes out of their schools walls- metaphorically, of course. And so as much as it was a step for the jaguar to seek shelter within a new clan, it was a step for Malakai to accept him into it. In these early stages though, with just himself to risk, he had to take what he could get and then weed the evil out. "I can offer you the sanctuary you seek, so long as your willing to abide by the laws that have been set for Greenside- we're a clan with a purpose, and that purpose doesn't always sit well with outsiders." Malakai would reply, his neutral tone clear and calm. The other could join if they wanted, but they should know exactly what they were signing up for. "As long as your okay with that and can keep your friends in line with the other members, Greenside is open to you." Besides, he needed all the allies he could get at this point, and while the jaguar had likely been a part of other groups before he probably hadn't been apart of too many that were being built fresh from the start. They'd have a lot to work on if they wanted Greenside to continue existing, and since it was just the two of them it would give the tiger a chance to get a proper read on the mysterious snake-charming cat. "I'm Malakai Dimera. We make our camp in the school just over there," he'd say, pausing to gesture to the large building off in the distance looming above the lush grasslands. "You can take an empty classroom for a bedroom if you like, or if you prefer a more rustic homestead, the Farm isn't too far off. It still needs some tending to, but it will be used to farm fresh food for us throughout the year." "SPEECH |
