scares you half to death -- Goldie - Warringkingdoms - 05-12-2019

Her leg was basically in working order again, so she had taken some time to wander outside of the semi-familiar territory of Elysium.

With the help of Moomin, Lilja, Killua, and some others, she had crafted a quiver out of loose patches of fabric. The quiver was slung across her chest, hanging off of one shoulder, the six arrows snug within. Close-quarters combat might be difficult with it on, but as long as she saw someone approaching from far enough away, she could either toss it aside or snipe them. Hitting a moving target of roughly her size would be harder than hitting a moving target of the Huntress' size, but that was the point of having multiple arrows, for multiple shots. One would hit eventually.

She stood on a tree branch, looking out over the sea. Out of the corner of her eye, she could spot a sandbar leading out to an island a little ways away. That belonged to the Typhoon, if she recalled correctly. They'd been enemies once, she remembered from having tended to the injured Ascendants members (and the unfortunate Typhoon medic who had been captured and tortured by Roy) after the midnight raid- plus the Typhoon kids who were captured at some point in the interim.

Then again, the Ascendants had been enemies with Sunhaven at one time too, and now they were one and the same. The tensions with the Typhoon had cooled, as far as she was aware. If any Typhoon members did take issue with her being anywhere near their territory (she wasn't on it, the scent markers were still far off), she'd deal with it herself, since technically she wasn't even an Elysite- just a straggler.

Returning her gaze to the sea, Rin pondered. Neptune, or whatever he had started calling himself after the fall of the pantheon, was probably around here. There was no immediately obvious sign of him, however- no ominous storms, no whirlpools, no tsunamis.

Most likely, her battle with him would come later down the line. Who would be next, then? The ex-sun god was a possibility, since she'd just killed his sister. Venus was also likely, since it was only six days until the 18th. It could even be Mercury, whom she'd once identified with.

She would find out soon enough, she thought, looking up at the clear skies. She just had to take it one step at a time.
