it was time to make some official roots here. they had completed the 'jungle juice' ritual. their bracelet made complete with a silver feather pendant at their wrist. the coyote had made themselves one of them, and now it was time to make a home. a real home.
it had taken some time but at last a decent shelter was formed. thick bamboo stalks had been used for sturdy supports to form five points. each connected with a wall of reed stems kept together with dried seaweed and a few pawful's of honey. they were able to use straw and mud make a foundation and comfortable floor instead of sand. this sort of crafting was merely improvisation as idyll went along, not really sure what the outcome would be.
the coyote was able to finish it off with the door; made from a few pieces of driftwood wedged and tied together with some dried animal skin. it was no satin canopy or pillow-y comforter, but they had made it with their own paws and teeth. their baggage was still leaned up against the wall of their hut, packed tightly, insides untouched since they landed in the typhoon. they were just yet ready to unpack...
"would anyone like to help me decorate my hut? i'm a bit lost at where to begin..." they trailed off with a small frown, trying to think of what was missing.

[align=center]Decoration was not really something the female was amazing with, considering her living quarters tended to always have some sort of "organized mess" within them. She made more of an effort to keep things neat but with so many things, and so much to do, she couldn't really keep up with it very often. Nonetheless, she did enjoy making things look nice when she could. At the very least, she could help out a crewmate with the task. The tiger approaches in a laid-back manner, muscles relaxed. She offers a casual smile to Idyllfields, slightly impressed so see they had gone the extra mile to build their own home, rather than taking a vacant one. She has rebuilt structures before, after the tavern had been burnt down, some huts, treehouses, and the temple needed rebuilt after the volcano, but she'd certainly never gone out of her way to build her own hut (when she had lived in one, of course). The tiger looks it over as she stops, nodding to the coyote before saying anything quite yet, considering the scene.
"Have ya taken out some sorta bed yet? Thas' most important, n' easy enough. I can give ya some blankets, if ya want," the female states decidedly, eyes still fixated on the house. "After that, though, I'd say start wit' your biggest items first."

"not sure I'd be much help inside - but if you need help with roof or exterior decorating, I'd be happy to lend a hand" and the fact his height made him the perfect faux ladder if need be.
he lived in a rather large cave just overlooking the jungle, beach and where the huts were - it was preferable for his size and the fact he preferred this form, but that didn't mean he couldn't offer his own help in decorating.
he glances to Goldie from where he leans his head in, the suggestion reminding him of something and hums "I might have some stored away decor I never found a use for in my cave if you have any idea of what you might want?" given his lifespan hes accrued quite a few miscellaneous items, from a stray couch to various statues that wash up sometimes or that he simply finds roaming around) most of which he stored away for if he found any use for them.

idyll had certainly thought of a bed while placing down the foundation, but they were unaware on how to "make" one. the hut seemed easy enough from vague memory of building stick houses when they were little. a bed though... well, they were picky when it came to what they slept on. they were used to high-end luxury after all, and just using hay stacks and feathers just wouldn't do. at the offer for blankets, idyll couldn't resist.
"i would absolutely love that! i haven't slept on a good blanket in weeks, mostly wet sand." they chuckled sheepishly. their tail was practically a blur in excitement. "yes, yes I was planning on keeping things rather minimal. some shelves here and there and a bookshelf for my belongings. perhaps a chest for more personal items. I doubt there aren't any empty ones around on the old shipwrecks around here."
seeing lucifer approach next, the coyote felt warm and hopeful for the generosity. "im just as passionate about exterior design, i'm thankful for your help! i was just thinking of implementing a sunroof eventually, with retractable coverage so to keep out unwanted weather." they paused a bit before nodding their head. "you both are too kind. thank you so much, i feel very much at home already."
