typhoon visitor ✦ hymn for the missing - raziel - 04-17-2019

[div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: heiti sc; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]A dull hope brought the dire wolf towards the mountain.  The concept that, perhaps, just maybe, his missing daughter had wound up somewhere safe like Elysium.  As far as Raziel understood, this place was one of community, neutrality, and justice.  If Suvi had gotten lost in-between travels between the Typhoon and Tanglewood... If she's lost.  If she had been... Taken... No.  She had been taken once, he knew, for that was how she'd been reunited with him in the first place, but he could not stand for it to have happened in the Typhoon.

His brothers may call him a pacifist, but Raziel would never have let her go without a fight had she been anywhere near.  She's probably just wandered off.  Hopefully to somewhere like here.

The mountains presented a unique change to the jungle and beach he had grown accustomed to among the pirates.  Fresh, crisp air and wide expanses of openness.  While it was a welcome change, the faerie was restless and wary, unable to chase away the possibility he was being too optimistic again.  Even when you left them somewhere safe, they still found trouble...

The canine sighed deeply, pausing as the scent of a border caught his attention.  Now it was time to wait, hope and pray.

Seemed everyday a new dire wolf showed their face.  The Demdji was beginning to wonder how large this family was, given that the first two were siblings.  The petite sand cat waved her tail as she spotted him in the dance, bounding over quickly as she caught the scent of salt in the air.  A crewmate of the Typhoon.  As such, Tena offered the large canine a bright smile.

"Hey," her tail flicked as she supposed he was probably here on business, unlike the other two who had joined them.  "Can I help you?"

"Da?" The youth practically barrelled his way down the mountainside, stumbling once or twice as he went, wearing his typical, lopsided grin.  It was his da, for sure.  The smaller wolf barely kept himself from charging right into him, tail wagging to and fro with the force of a hurricane.  It felt like a life time ago since he had seen his father.

Considering the immortal lifespan of a fae, perhaps it had been, or perhaps it had been less.  The boy bounced on his paws, eyes bright as stars.  "Hey, da! Did you track us 'ere?  I tracked Lilja 'ere -- I've gotten good at tracking, you know.  I mean, you're probably better, since it's been a few days and you weren't right behind us.  You smell kinda funny too, like salt, so I thin' I would've noticed." Now that he did notice, Conrí blinked, head cocking slightly to the side.  "I was tracking Suvi too when she wen' missing, or I tried to -- I lost 'er.  Well, I didn't lose her, she went over the sea I thin'; is that why you smell like salt?  Were you tracking Suvi too?

Losing his sister, one of the siblings he had been born alongside, had not gone over well with Conrí.  Triplets ought to stick together... Although he had left Lonân behind tracking their older sister.  He shuffled his paws, suddenly conscious that he'd been talking quite a lot, and in front of Tena too, who his da did not know.  Worse, he'd admitted he had lost track of Suvi.  With a frown, the boy's ears flicked backward.

"... You um... You're 'ere to see us, yeah? I'm sure Lil is somewhere near by."

[div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: heiti sc; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]The faerie returned the Demdji's smile warmly, affirming in his mind this would be what he'd consider to be a safe place in this lands.  As he dipped his head, preparing an answer, his ears flicked up at an unmistakable young voice.  His eyebrows rose immediately, mind halting for a moment as he processed one of his younger sons' presence in this place.  Even then, he found himself unable to form words as the boy exploded into a number of questions and rambling.

In searching for Suvi, he'd come across a different member of his little triplets.

"Ag na flaithis Conri."  He heaved a deep sigh.  He had not expected his own arrival to the Typhoon, nor Suvi's following after.  He really should not be surprised to accidentally come across one of Suvi's brothers, and hear word of her older sister.  He supposed he ought to explain to the boy now he had not been looking for them.

Undoubtedly, Lilja would want to talk as well as soon as she realized he was here.  His last scheduled visit to see his children had been halted by his crash into Typhoon's shores after all.  "... No, a leanbh, I came here looking for Suvi. But she's not here.  "She's been staying with me in the Typhoon," he explained, "an' spending time in Tanglewood too, but she hasn't returned to us in some time."

Raziel had left promptly without informing his clanmates, deciding to go on a quick search around the other groups.  As a sawbone, he imagined her absence in Tanglewood extremely noticeable and foregone them, unknowingly dismissing an important part of the story.  The wolf did not oft act so rashly, and he figured Kian or even Seamus might tease him later, but Suvi had gone missing once before and had come back different.  He was worried that this time, she might come back hurt, or even simply... Not come back.

"But I am relieved to find you someplace safe, Conri," he added after a moment, hoping not to disappoint the boy in light of the discovery being accidental.  Since neither has been mentioned, he supposed his eldest son remained home, as well as the last remaining of his triplet trio, Lonân.

To the little sand cat, the wolf bowed his head.  "I apologize for intruding.  Would it be acceptable to stay here a time, to catch up with my children before I continue my search?"

One of those dire wolves she recalled seemed immediately intent on the pirate's arrival.  His father, she quickly realized, eyes softening.  Something in her gut clenched as the boy excitedly bombarded the poor traveler with questions.  A sad smile strained her face.  Her Djinn father had not been a large part of her life, and her mother quickly separated.  Only her elder brother had remained.  Yet they were split many times and they were absent now too, wherever they had wandered.

She listened quietly as Raziel spoke, blinking as he explained the matter of another daughter of his.  How large is this family? It was hard to imagine more than one sibling. Tena frowned lightly.  A missing crewmate, and a member of Tanglewood too.

When he turned back to her, she huffed softly in wonder, shaking her head.  "No, no intrusion.  You're welcome here; family is everything," always.  "Could I have a description for your daughter?  I'll tell everyone to keep their eyes and ears open." If she's not here, or in-between her two homes... That leaves Rosebloods and... Ah.  Perhaps this was a more interesting matter than she originally thought; a true insight to her neighbors.

"Stay as long as you need to."

The boy bounced to and fro on his paws, clearly still excited, entirely enthralled that his father had found them.  Only as he spoke, Conri slowly registered that he hadn't come from him and Lilja.  Suvi.  The young wolf deflated, shuffling his paws as he began to focus more and more on his father's explaination.

His twin -- triplet -- sister had been with their da.  Conri frowned, ears flopping to the sides of his head.  Now she was missing.  She seemed to do that a lot.  The boy remembered, dimly, their deduction that the time Suvi went missing from them, she'd been taken.  His tongue sat uselessly in his mouth however, as his body rocked lightly to and fro.

As Tena spoke, a spark of fire flared to life in his eyes. "An' we can help look!" Surely, with all their eyes together, they'd find her.  His tail began wagging at the thought. "Suvi looks li' Suvi," he beamed, "She's kinda goldy and her eyes are brown."  He went on happily, unaware that it was not quite true anymore.  "She don' talk either, so you'd know 's her 'cause she's quiet."

"Do ya thin' she just got lost?" Conri hoped so.  He didn't like taken all that much.  "We should tell Lilja too, she can hel' look with us."

LIGHTS GO OUT AND ALL I SEE—
the ó faoláín family sure had their twists and ties when it came to running into one another. this was perhaps the longest lilja had been seperated from her family entirely. several months without word of her father or sisters. nor her uncles or cousins. lilja wasn't really sure where they would meet next. she assumed that their future would bring them together once more eventually, proven with conrí finding her only days after she joined elysium.

speaking of the boy, she had followed his scent and tena's to the border when it became overpowered by one more familiar. salty and more tropical, but familiar. athair! the direwolf's paws began treading through the springing grass, manuevering through sprouting shrubbery and fauna before finding them at the border. she quickly halted, watching him first.

he looked... almost the same. still the permanent serious look on his face. lilja couldn't help but smile seeing her younger brother giddy again. "ag na réaltaí! fancy seeing you here, papa." lilja reached forward and nuzzled under the older fae's chin.

"suvi's lost? is that why you smell so weird?" she continued to tease, pulling away to look at conrí. "i'd be happy to look. i can ask around- tena, do we have any neighbors i could visit?"
