⋆ BEAT IT // TRUTH OR DARE - guts - 03-19-2019

This task was difficult. She hadn't known it was only a joke, and despite being given an alternate task, she wanted to prove that she was capable. If only she knew what imports and exports were, and how to write a 'formal report.' Naturally, she went to her mother first, asking what these things were. Her disembodied voice just chuckled and urged her to go with the minigame option.

Florence tried to protest, but eventually saw that she wasn't going to get any answers and inevitably gave up, deciding to go with a game of truth or dare--after her mom explained that to her. She had never played any of these games, and needless to say, she was excited. She wanted everyone to have fun!

"Hey, everyone! We're gonna play truth or dare!" she announces, seated in the middle of their camp, tail waving eagerly. Things were quiet and boring, and she wanted to change that.

Do I... Wanna play that?  The title of the game sounded... Familiar.  Vaguely, like an old forgotten song you could once hum but had since forgotten the tune and words of.  Only the lingering trace of a... Feeling remained. Suvi could not have played; none of the feeling originated from the once mute child.  Kiira struggled to grasp onto the lingering echo, attempting to dance the steps in her mind but tripping and stumbling.  No.  No I don't think I have... Do I want to?  It sounded rather... Attention-grabbing, and while she was not actually necessarily -- not in her own eyes -- a shy individual, she did not like the feeling of many eyes on her.  She did not like stumbling on her words, fidgeting, fighting for something comprehensible to say.

It made her fur prickle and her stomach twist in knots.  Her chest felt heavy and flighty: felt on fire, but iced over.  But she's smiling.  Neither the previous individual souls of Suvi and Kiira could ignore what made someone else happy enough to smile.  It can't be that bad.  It should be fun

Regardless, the petite vixen's unmatched hues seem to dart and flicker, twirling into a dance of uncertainty and apprehension.  Unnecessary apprehension.  I should make chamomile tea later.  "Okay."

Re: ⋆ BEAT IT // TRUTH OR DARE - Crow Roux - 03-20-2019

"Heh," the feline laughed and sat down nearby, though considerably far from the others hoping no one would sit right next to him. "I'll, uh, play." Social interaction was a battle on the inside; he craved attention, yet too much made him uncomfortable and made him want to hide again. Maybe he just needed to get used to it.

Crow's thin form appeared closed off and withdrawn and his alabaster tail-tip tapped the ground nervously as he awaited the rest of the players to make an appearance. He felt like there was something wrong with him just sitting there harmlessly, caused his fur to prickle with unease...

Re: ⋆ BEAT IT // TRUTH OR DARE - toboggan - 03-20-2019

A wired set of paws carried the canine towards the forming crowd, bringing all movement to a pause when his towering figure neared Crow’s proximity. Leroy had witnessed the formation of the group, and how the General strategically instated a good gap between him and the two others. That’s not how the game worked. Truth or dare was about interaction, contact, conversation, and uncomfortable scenarios. Abjuring oneself from the cluster of people playing was dirty play, as it put those actually trying to have fun at a disadvantage.

Seeing that Crow’s communication skills were so abominable that he couldn’t bear to sit near a couple of juveniles, the guardsman chose his drab superior as his neighbour for the occasion.

Casually seating himself down, with a momentary batting of the eyes in his leader’s general direction, he’d announce, "I’m in!"

Florence was given this task as a test to see how a child could handle managing a game. One inkling kept recurring in his mind, however; ”Don’t see no formal report”, he’d satirically mutter under his breath.

Truth or dare. The mention of the notorious game seemed to instantly summon his presence -- what could he say? He was a sucker for games. The little sawbone neglected to announce his arrival with more than a chilled draft of air before his gaunt figure popped into existence from nowhere, stumpy tail wagging in excitement. A rusty bucket handle hung from his mouth, belonging to a snarling flytrap. Audrey III hadn't sensed real living, breathing creatures in a while. Which was probably why Beck brought the mutated plant along for socializing.

Setting the admittedly-hefty portable pot of Audrey down at his side, the mangy feline plopped himself into a seat distant yet still close to Kiira with a wordless sigh. While Audrey swiveled its head this way and that in an effort to detect the subtle movements around it before defeatedly slumping over and resting its chin on the earth, Beck was practically wiggling in anticipation, his image slightly distorting with each twitchy movement. He couldn't help but send Crow a toothy grin at his predicament -- Leroy did smell like shoe polish after all.

Re: ⋆ BEAT IT // TRUTH OR DARE - guts - 03-24-2019

While she hadn't exactly been doubting they would, Florence was happy to see people flocking over to her, a big smile painting her face. Most of them she recognized, with the exception of Suvi/Kiiira--which is likely why she focused on her as a way to start the game.

"Okay, let's start! Miss, truth or dare?" it was somewhat difficult, since she didn't know her name, but she was also the only female there besides herself.

Miss. Oh.  No time at all to recognize herself the only other girl.  Ears flicked slightly back, unmatched hues darting for a split second towards her fellow sawbone as he settled near her.  Some reassurance there. Even Audrey.  Snow white paws shuffled, disappearing for a few seconds before her tongue and throat remembered they had to move to produce words.

"Truth." The "safe" route, but truly, the little vixen felt no such shame.
