The drive, the pull to move was something incredibly powerful in the petite sand cat. When idle too long blue eyes, sharp and distinct as a clear sky, grew fierce and all too restless. A flame waiting, wanting to explode and roar. As such soft paws kneaded irritated into the snow, a sandy tail flicking abruptly side to side. This is pointless.
"Hey," perhaps a reserved individual, but certainly not a quiet one. "Anyone up for a patrol? Border or hunting; doesn't matter. We can do a bit a both." Then she'd be moving. Working. Productive. She saw no reason not to head off by herself aside from the insanity of too much solitude. Not that she'd admit to that. Ever. As far as Tena felt concerned, she really didn't need anyone because she could take perfectly good care of herself. Still. Boredom seeks friends.

[font=trebuchet ms]What was a border patrol, really, but wandering around and observing nature? The only real difference was that you had something to keep an eye out for, that being other animals. Hunting was a bit more complicated because you also had to keep yourself hidden; Straw did this more rarely, since she could survive on plants alone, but knowing how to catch a bird was useful from time to time.
Patrolling with a group was a little different, but not too much. A hunting patrol, or a partial hunting patrol, would by necessity be low on small talk. Besides, Tena was alright, as far as Straw could tell from their previous encounters. Peering down from a nearby tree, the red panda nodded; that was all that needed to be said.

Very restless these days. But Lavi knew his friend to be an active feline. He supposed there were no surprises to her summons. Supposing he ought to keep her out of trouble, he rose to his paws as well. "Alright Te," the young Jedi chuckled, whiskers twitching. "I'll come along."The plush mountain cat patrolled sometimes, by himself. He never minded the quiet solitude of such, but he felt no opposition to patrolling with others at his side either.

Three'll do. Three would have to do, for the time being, because the little feline bore no more patience. Her eyes glittered sharply, focused and calculating. Three made a good number for both sorts of patrols. A small number made less noise after all. Anyone else interested would have to catch up. Tena for one felt no desire to stick around.
"Then let's go," the Demdji barked, tail slashing. Her voice was short and sharp, cut with impatience and her paws set to moving the second the last syllable touched air. The time to move was now.
