It's too quiet. The petite sand cat furrowed her brow, a soft song emitting from her throat in a quiet hum. 'I was at Mos Bina... come and See, come and see... Ekkreth, Depur and Me...' Through the old seaside town the little sand dweller roamed, tail flicking behind her. The sun was just beginning to rise, turning the water pink and orange as the sky split between growing light and gradually dark. The last stars lingered for a few moments longer, dancing even as they drowned in the distant fire. 'This is as I heard it, as my mo... Ther told me... Passed down from her sacred family tree...' A small house somewhat far from the water. Quite on purpose all things considered, though the feline was unlike to admit to having any sort of bias. Tena had never quite gotten over the wonder and terror of deep water. Even rain and snow managed to startle her some days. A little blue house, with plants overgrowing in a small garden. A few small tables outside. Sort of familiar in a way, as it was small but comfy. It wouldn't be hard to get to the top either, and sleep on the roof, if she wanted to be closer to the stars but remain warm. As spring ushered in slightly warmer weather, she felt some comfort knowing she might be able to just do that. That settled the matter of location. With a smile light as a feather, Tena Moonspinner began to set to work within the small dwelling. Soon enough the smell of freshly brewed tea and something more special drifted through the door and windows. 'I tell you this story... Save your life... Set you free... I tell you as it was told me...' [ This is Te's Tea and Tzai Shop based in a small, slightly overgrown blue house in the old sea town, some distance from the water. Many various teas are offered, some coffee and hot chocolate, as well as a special drink called Tzai. Tzai is a drink passed on by Tena's culture and is a drink similar to chai with special family recipes that are passed down (and no she won't share it with anyone because it's incredibly personal and important to her but these are potentially some ingredients she uses). She's offering the drinks at self-decided prices -- and she does not mind giving away drinks for free ] [align=right]— I tell you this story, save your life, set you free Re: tea && tzai [★] WHO WE ARE - Straw - 03-18-2019 [font=trebuchet ms]Dawn arose, yet Straw was already awake. She had forgotten how to keep regular sleep cycles long ago. Even if you knew how, sometimes your brain would arbitrarily decide that three in the morning was the new dawn, and there was nothing you could do but go with the flow. The knowledge, since she could gain nothing from it, was useless. Sleep was for whenever she felt like it, no sooner and no later. Her brain had decided that the moon being three-quarters of the way from its peak to the horizon was good enough, so she had been awake a few hours, mostly traversing the roofs of the city wherever she could find a decently safe route. The sun crept out into the open, lighting both the shingles and her fur a bright orange. She had to wonder if she would have blended in, were it not for the mask that perpetually covered her face. With a running start, she sprung from one roof, across an alleyway, onto another roof. Landing squarely on her feet, she lifted her head- and paused. The area smelled of caffeine, brewing leaves, melting chocolate, and some mix of spices that she couldn't exactly pick out. Padding over to the edge of the roof, she then leaned over slightly to try and get a look at the storefront. She thought she recognized the feline working within, but hadn't gotten her name. Someone had mentioned shops in this area of the territory. Straw wasn't sure what she had to offer in exchange, but maybe she could find something. Her eyes wandered over to the mass of vegetation that occupied the space beside the house, and an idea emerged in the forefront of her mind. Yes, that would do it. With that, she turned and retraced her steps across the roofs, back to the edge of the town. Climbing down the planks leading from the last roof to ground level, she then headed off to the other side of the territory. Eventually, with the sun still young in the sky, Straw returned to the shop via the streets this time. She held a small pair of pruning shears in her mouth, behind the mask. It wasn't the most comfortable setup, and the mask was slightly askew, but it worked. Walking through the doorway, she inhaled the soft scents of tea and spice. Reaching up with one paw, she tilted the mask just enough to remove the shears from her mouth and drop them on the floor, then readjusted it so that it fit properly again. Looking at the feline, she pushed the shears forward as an offering. It wasn't really Straw's, per se, so much as just something she had found, but maybe it would help the shopkeeper with the garden. It then occurred to her that she had to make an order. Twitching her ears, she glanced down at the floor, thinking. "...Surprise me," she said finally, looking back up. /this reply got away from me, tl;dr: last two paragraphs |
