these words are for you alone -- plants - Straw - 03-13-2019

[font=trebuchet ms]The greenhouse was growing again. Straw wasn't sure how much she'd had to do with that; she had planted a few seeds from some of the larger specimens, sure, but it was probably the arrival of spring that was actually making them grow. She didn't have much of a green thumb (or maybe green paw was the better expression here, she didn't know).

Still, the plants needed water, and she could provide that if nothing else. There had been a small bucket by the door, and upon inspection she could tell it had no leaks, so she had taken it to a nearby pond and filled it up. Hauling it back, slowly so that she spilled as little as possible, she pondered the possibility of someone with water magic coming by to help. Not that she minded manual labor, but if someone could produce water out of thin air, it'd certainly be more efficient. Even if they couldn't, maybe they could carry another bucket and get the job done in half the time.

She hadn't seen much of anyone in days, though. Which probably had something to do with the fact that she'd spent most of that time tending to the greenhouse (in her defense, she needed a hobby). Was it worth asking around? Maybe, maybe not. She'd figure it out later.

Entering the greenhouse and approaching a group of seedlings, Straw carefully tilted the bucket to pour water onto the soil. Too fast and she'd either waste water or drown the plants, or both. Being too slow wasn't much of an issue; she could afford to take her time.
