The air smelled of salt and summertime. A tropical orchestra of sounds; hundreds of kinds of birds, and the wind through the trees. A pair of dark eyes watched curiously through the carved sockets of a pumpkin. Ivory paws wrapped in vines took slow, nearly-cautious steps forward until they successfully carried the young kodkod to the bells. For a brief moment, Salem regarded the names etched across the concrete walls, blinking. Nearby an emblem which could only mean one thing; pirates. An absent smile. Pirates it is then. He rang the bells. The bells made for an awful convient attention-grabber. Especially for one who's eyes failed to work. The tiny Privateer's pale hues blinked, ears perking at the sound. Another visitor to the island. From experience, Keona decided not to assume this one to be a joiner. Tail twitching, the fae trotted towards the gate, the angle of her head following the new scent. He smells like... Pumpkins. Strange. "Aloha," she offered, brows creasing in thought. "Can I help you?" Re: FALL AGAIN | joiner - Luciferr - 03-10-2019

#psychosocial.space space space space

The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror...It coiled itself around your tender heart a far taller - and probably more frightening (though many here would attest he was a huge softie when you got to know him - or at least when you weren’t an enemy) figure followed behind the tiny feline. Luciferus had taken up his longtime habit of shadowing his much smaller clan mates once again - a familiar routine to those that knew him and maybe a comfort to know the large dragon was back around the area, silently following along in the wake of those that might need him for one thing or another (whether that might be heavy lifting or something as mundane as fetching something from a taller shelf so to speak) And it seems he follows Leona to another small feline, though black in colour and seemingly with a pumpkin? Though he’s hardly one to criticise fashion - and he’s seen much stranger (ah, the merits of immortality) so he merely raises a ridged brow but sits back quietly. Perhaps he was a little... Odd. Honestly, Salem nearly blinked in surprise at the lack of strange looks, until he realized that the smaller feline in front of him was blind. His ears flick back sheepishly, and he's presented an opportunity to stop staring dumbly when another, much larger, pirate approaches. Dragon. The boy inhales softly, more in amazement than fear, having never seen such a creature before. He had to crane his neck up quite a bit. He notes immediately, the way their auras feel, that he may be looking at two like him; rather long-living (forever really) beings. Salem shifts his paws, deciding to focus on the small cat, for she was the one to address him. Aloha. He liked the sound of that. It must mean hello. "Hello." His voice sounds somewhat muted behind the pumpkin, despite the carved mouth but he's grateful that the same pumpkin hid the flush that rushed to his cheeks for it. "I'm looking for somewhere to stay," he explained after he cleared his throat. "My name's Salem, if you'll have me." One might find that Keona had many shadows on occasion. For such was the nature of a protective family. Before noticing the nearby presences of his daughter and Lucifer, Séamus had been hunting. The feathered vulpine paused, blinking, then decided at the sound of the bells, to follow them. The joiner today caught him off-guard. The fae had never run into a young feline with a pumpkin on his head. Regardless of his age. As such, his brow raised in mild surprise. Nonetheless, he supposed he ought to welcome the boy in. Salem. Interesting choice of name. "Then welcome to the Typhoon, Salem." An odd aura of confusion seemed to surround this one, and the petite privateer furrowed her brow briefly, bemused. If there was indeed something odd about Salem she did not notice, aside from the odd sense of his aura. Certainly a unique presence, though she could not name quite why. Instead, she just focused on his words, ears flicking as one of her fathers appeared and joined the conversation. Many tails for sure. "'m Keona," she offered, inclining her head towards the other youth, "an' you're welcome to stay here." The endfield's reaction was exactly what he'd been expecting. As such the boy regarded the other back impassively, quirking his own brow though he doubted it'd be noticed. Happily, he bowed his head, content with the group's quick acceptance of him. Keona. It had a similar ring to aloha, he noted and wondered if the name and the words all came from another language. A question he'd keep in mind. "Thank you, very much," he answered, eyes bright. "It's nice to meet you." |
