MY BLIND EYE // joiner - charactercemetary. - 03-03-2019

She died. She knew she died. It was only a matter of time until it happened. Where hunger gripped her constantly, where she was worked to death. That day had come, she was dying. And then, she woke up. How? How was she still alive? She was supposed to be dead. The mutt shakes her fur out, as best she can before realizing. Oh, Adonai, why did you put me in the form of a dog? And a starving one at that. Her ribcage was showing, she was skin and bones, a walking skeleton. But she had to find out where she was, and perhaps get away from them. The mutt stumbles up, huffing. "Can...Can I get some help?"
we cannot let these monsters tear us from the pages of the world

Re: MY BLIND EYE // joiner - Straw - 03-04-2019

[font=trebuchet ms]Hunger drove the sane to madness, and the mad to reason. Well, maybe "mad" wasn't the word; "reserved" and "stubborn" were more accurate, at least in her case. She still wasn't entirely sure what she was doing here, but it was definitely safer here than out in the wild. At least until winter passed, staying with the Elysites was the most logical thing to do.

It seemed Straw wasn't the only one to arrive at the border starving and confused, though. The dog had directly asked for help, and it was fairly obvious from her visible ribcage what kind of help she needed, both of which made this a lot easier. Having spotted the dog stumbling over, Straw fiddled with the mask on her face with one paw, then approached. "Can you walk?" she asked softly, twitching her ears. "Shelter isn't far away."
