Leigh supposed. That's how it usually worked. Unless they were actually thinking of "three strikes you're out". That sounded oddly better. His hopes of fitting into this clan weren't high, but there never was a problem in trying. He chose to forget about Snowbound entirely and Sunhaven- or now Elysium he supposed- wasn't a match no matter how nice everyone had been to him. It had been his fault for vanishing as he usually did, sinking away into the shadows until he was back on the road.
The pearly white unicorn stopped in his trek along the sand, peering out into the distance at the old buildings he would later know as Roseblood territory. Just from here he could just make out statues and a very large building in the center of it all. It was beautiful. Much better once you're up close and personal I bet. Very true. Alas he could only hope. Where he stood now was about as far as he was willing to go. The mingled scents of animals grew very strong and he wasn't exactly the type of guy that could win in a fight if he got ambushed. Yeah. You're pretty pathetic. "Fuck off." he huffed under his breath, just barely audible. It was a bad habit, encouraging the voices in your head. He'd never learn to keep his mouth shut.
The sounds of footsteps sent the lanky young man on high alert, ears perking towards anyone who had arrived. Right, Leigh, you know the drill. "My name is Leigh. I want to join." Ahem... His face flushed red. "Please."

She was flying the massive wasteland of a territory they lived within once more, using her large wings and incredible stamina in order to try to find him. This was her job, to protect, he was lost so he certainly wasn't safe and when she found him than she could be herself safe again! Above the clouds she banked scanning the ground as if a hawk looking for its prey but she encountered nothing and likely never would no matter how hard she searched. Jiyu was pharaoh, the one who guided them all into the future, she just wasn't ready to be that at the moment. Even if she brought sepiroth back it wouldn't change, no matter how much she wanted it to, at the moment she would give anything to go back to the days when she was just a guard, when she knew what she was doing. However, the calico would be what they needed.
Shortly after he spoke the first time, saying fuck off, there would be a high pitched noise as she dive bombed from her post in the sky. About two feet above him she snapped opened her massive wings ones that some may say were too big for her body, mismatched optics focused on him. Jiyu was silent at first, looking the male up and down, wondering if what she was seeing happened to be correct. Gliding nearly in place, the female quickly came to the conslusion that this was indeed a unicorn, a real one.
Not uttering a word the three foot tall female landed, black and orange paws touching the ground before her white ones. A light sound emitted from her throat as she took a step closer lifting her head and folding her wings in half way. "I'm Jiyu, come with me, I'll show you to the camp so you can meet the others." when she was airborne it was hard for others to keep up with her, so the female chose to start walking as it would be easier for her new group-mate to keep up with her.
Kal would have loved to see this, her adoptive sister crossing her mind the female glanced back at the unicorn one more time before continuing to lead.

Jiyu's arrival was something he hadn't expected- the unicorn jumping out of his skin and snapping his head up tp meet the female's calm gaze with his own shocked wide-eyed expression. "Shit!" he hissed. Talk about an entrance. He had to agree. This was the first person to greet him in a way that wasn't the usual "approach from the front, name and business blah blah". It took him a few moments to calm down, stepping back a bit as he watched her land and greet him. Jiyu. A nice name. Pretty. The tall unicorn nodded his head slowly and stepped into line behind the draconic feline. "It's nice to meet you." he spoke after a bit of silence on his part.

While she tried to mimic the typical animals all about her? Jiyu was anything but the typical story or animal, she couldn't help it, her soul so damaged she just was not capable of normal. Of course, maybe that would turn out to be a good thing in the future. "Around here you'll definitely want to keep the sky in mind too, I'm far from the only flight capable rose." she spoke in a voice like falling snow, her movement entirely limp as if she wasn't even alive. "mhm." a small sound came from her as she stepped aside to let him enter the dessert village first. Hopefully some of the others would show up soon.
