worlds - o, joiner - calliope - 04-26-2018

The world was terrifying.  Not only were there germs, diseases, and possible health hazards everywhere, but there were also dangerous people out there. Mirabella knew that all too well, and had far too many run-ins with them. She feared for her life almost constantly, and one of the few people she actually trusted that ripped it all away from her.

Her life would still go on, though, and she wasn't planning on anything stopping her.  No matter how horrific her predicament had been, she couldn't afford to just sink into a pit of despair. Mirabella honestly didn't think things were going to get better, but she couldn't even let her stop herself from moving on in life. She was scared to continue on, but she did nonetheless.

That, of course, would lead her to the Ascendants. Yet, despite the peaceful reputation the group found, the serval couldn't build up the courage to speak. She sat at the border, her entire body shaking. A constant stream of what-ifs and overthought worries crossed her mind. What if they weren't peaceful? Would they hurt her? Maybe she was walking into a trap.

Deep breaths. In and out. In and out. While she didn't feel any less anxious, her shaking had stopped. Now there was just a swell of nervousness in her chest, threatening to explode and make the situation even worse. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Was she really this nervous? This was embarrassing. So, so, embarrassing. Tiny, frustrated tears formed at the corners of her eyes, though they didn't fall. No, no, no- she couldn't cry over something like this. She already looked stupid enough being unable to even talk.

"H-hello? Uh-" her voice came out, rather quietly. Crap. She was sure that someone could've heard her. Well, there was no going back now. "Uh- hey. Hi- Is anyone out there- hello?" She was clearly nervous, and honestly, Mirabella was almost humiliated by how anxious she sounded.

Re: worlds - o, joiner - Starrynight ! - 04-26-2018

//fab i’m crying omg

It could be said for certain that Starrynight did not, in fact, hear Mirabella’s anxious murmuring. He had a few powers, but super senses wasn’t one of them. Regardless, when he caught whiff of fear scent on the breeze, he followed it worriedly. He hoped that it was something simple, like someone discovering a big old ugly spider on their leg. As the stranger came into view, he took note that there was no one else in sight.

Once within earshot, the Astral Seraph called out cheerfully. ”Hello there!” He stopped in front of her. ”Welcome to the Ascendants! I’m Starrynight, leader of this place. Pleasure to meet you! Are you here to join?”

To be honest, if Luna had been feeling anxious when she had joined The Ascendants- Starry would be the last person she'd want to see, not that she disliked him, but because of his hyper personality.

The female had almost immediately noticed Mirabella enter the Observatory and she walked over, just a few seconds after Starry had. "Luna." The serval muttered.

Baby blue eyes scanned the newcomer, curiosity pooling in their depths. It seemed this new girl was extremely nervous for her first day. Suite couldn't blame her; everyone got nervous from time to time.

"Nice to meetcha. I'm Hotesuites," she said with a gentle smile. Though she was often loud, she kept her voice calm and mild so as not to scare Mirabella.

Dear gods. Bastille really did not want to deal with another timid girl on their border. It wasn't that he had anything against the more... shy variety, but his temper was so terrible short these days and he felt consistently on edge. He just knew that if he went any where near a group of people for too long, he was going to lose his shit on someone -- it just felt inevitable, and while it was most definitely his obligation to greet newcomers, Bast just didn't have it in him just then. (Besides, it was also his obligation not to scary strangers away with his shitty mood.)

So, he made the conscious effort to stay the fuck away from them when he saw the group gathering on the border. He could meet this stranger sometime later, when he didn't want to murder everyone.

Margaery, while never having been labelled shy herself, was no stranger to those who naturally were. Plenty of her friends in the past had been of timid nature and she, the charismatic extrovert that she was, always sought so actively to bring them out of their shells while simultaneously soothing any social reservations they might have possessed. Thought not a solution to every issue (especially considering some of her old friends were immensely stubborn), she had seen such positive results that her heart absolutely sang. Now? She wasn't sure if she could say the same.

And so she approached the group almost wearily, subconsciously finding her practically designated spot at Suiteheart's side and perking her ears. [color=black]"Margaret Forbes," She introduced with surprising ease, finally conditioned to not flinch when her fake name was uttered aloud, [color=black]"What's your name?"

Re: worlds - o, joiner - ★ HAZEL - 04-28-2018

WHEN MY HEART IS MADE FROM GOLD AND FORGIVENESS SEEMS TOO BOLD
Hazel was - still - moving things about in her room, and luckily, because it was on the first floor, she easily heard the call of the newcomer. It took a minute or so to maneuver around and over the mess of things all over the floor (which she didn’t mind - it was a mess she got to clean up and make her own, and that was very important) but when she did, she popped out of the doorway only slightly disheveled. Cocoa fur ruffled and golden eyes round, the girl joined the growing group of clan members, only to find a serval in the middle of it all.

Hazel had originally thought it would be a younger girl like herself, but...hm. Guess not. Finding a safe space for herself among her clan, Hazel offered a grin. “Hello - I’m Hazel.” She introduced herself, her breath escaping her only a bit quicker than usual from the obstacle course in her room. Her mood had picked up considerably over the past few days of joining. Just knowing that these people were willing to take her and her mess of a colt in and give her a private room was more than enough to set her happy-go-lucky attitude first and foremost for the next week.

Re: worlds - o, joiner - calliope - 04-29-2018

There really was no going back now. Before she could even respond to the first person who came up, one after another came by. It almost felt like she was being completely flooded. Oh gosh, she really didn't want to talk to all of these people at once. Maybe she could run off- No, no. That'd be stupid. She had to power through this, even if she didn't want to.

She noted each of the names, silently praying to herself that she wouldn't forget any of them. How rude would she seem if she didn't know them? After glancing at each person nervously, Mira took a deep breath, in attempts to calm herself yet again. "Ah- um..." her voice trailed off, almost as if her mind had been drawn to blank. What was she supposed to say again? Mira went silent for a few seconds, clearly trying to gather her thoughts to speak to the group.

"Mirabella- my name's Mirabella," she introduced herself, her voice still rather soft. It was pretty much impossible for her to shake away her nervous demeanor, so she just hoped they weren't judging her or anything. "I want to join-" she added, though she still cut herself off. "If you'll have me, of course! I will uh- I'll leave if you don't want me to-" her voice seemed to pick up a bit, as she spoke much faster. She wasn't sure if they even really wanted her here, so she didn't want to assume that they'd instantly accept her. That would be rude, wouldn't it?

"Nice to meet you, Mirabella." Lunafreya said, offering a smile to the female, taking note that she was nervous. "You're welcome to stay in The Ascendants if you'd like and would you like a tour of the territory or will you be okay exploring on your own?"
