that's the way it is || joining - Orion - 02-05-2019 JOHN MARSTON "People don't forget. Nothing gets forgiven."
The escape from the bandits had been easy. As per usual, the O’Driscolls lacked finesse and a real plan when attacking Dutch’s gang. This time Marston’s gang were thankful to get out alive. Harmed... but alive. Nevertheless, a new place had caught Dutch’s eye after Arthur scouted ahead and separated from the group in the process. They called it ______. For now it seemed like a proper escape till vengeance or the law bit them in the ass once again or the word spread around about their disgraceful deeds. Plus, the place was plentiful in supplies. With all their stuff left back in the previous camp, it was nice to be reassured that they would have definite food and shelter elsewhere. Truly, John found no downside. With their enemies lurking over their previous camp in search of survivors or any returning foes, it was smart to stay here. Others, though, found it unworthy. Despite that, the rest were here, willingly or not. John just happened to be the next one to arrive... and willingly. He’d like to see himself as an opportunistic man when it came to these things, especially with Dutch’s mind. The chances that this new plan failing were low. After all, things had worked out previously... for awhile at least. Being on the run was inevitable for Dutch and his gang, especially after all the crimes they contributed to, but the hope to settle on some nice territory within the west was out there. It was a rare chance... The gang could hope though. ”Trust me,” as Dutch always said. ”It’ll work out in our favor.” Dutch had went ahead by himself previously, so hopefully he’d greet him happily at the town with Arthur. The Timberwolf got to the group’s camp in no time, dark eyes searching for anyone to communicate with. Some unfamiliar folks gave him a few looks. Nothing new though. While he did and is still trespassing, John though that would be overlooked after he shared his intent with his soon-to-be acquaintances. tags - penned by orion Re: that's the way it is || joining - A. MORGAN - 02-05-2019 EASTWARD BOUND ARTHUR MORGAN — MALE — SNOWBOUND — ARCTICPLAYER — HARD Snowbound, if he was being honest, wasn't much to talk about. It was a little group holed up in the snow, almost like the gang had been except they had food and supplies. Arthur, while not a morally good man, hoped that he wasn't causing any misguided thoughts by bringing Dutch and John into the mix. Now, they didn't know their past but he'd hate to give them the idea that they were only here to mooch or steal from them. Whatever was going through Dutch and Johns' minds were their own, but Arthur had no ill intentions with his newfound home. Hell, he owed them his life considering they saved his sorry ass from getting frostbitten and dying. If anything, he just wanted his family safe and sound. He didn't want to say seeing John at the border was a surprise. Considering Dutch had showed up, John shouldn't have been too far along. But seeing him made his nerves unclench and relax, happy for the younger man's safe arrival. But of course John didn't need to know that. Arthur wouldn't give him more ammunition than he already had. The timber wolf would be the first to meet him, coming to a stop in front of the other. "Took ya long enough, Marston. Welcome to Snowbound." he hummed. |
