EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE ― NEW BODY - Roy Mustang - 04-25-2018
When Roy closed his eyes to take a small, quick nap- he didn't expect anything drastic to happen. He thought this nap would be an ordinary one, a nap where he can close his eyes for at least ten minutes. But it seemed like that was not going to be the case. As quickly as Roy began to fall into slumber, he began to dream. And while he dreamt, everything was white. There was an eerie silence to the place too, it was almost too quiet. He didn't get much time to think on the manner before glimpses and glimpses of images ran through his head. For a moment he saw a gray gate, and then a white humanoid being(that was around his human height) that was grinning at him. It sounded like the gate was beginning to open it's large doors, and before he could see whatever was in store- Roy woke up.
His eyes snapped open, a small pant escaping his body. Whatever he saw, it had been intense, and he had a feeling in the back of his mind that he hadn't seen the last of that. He wasn't even sure what it was, he hopes he can learn the truth about it sometime. It was just a dream, He thought to himself, as he pushed himself onto his paws, and when he looked down at them, his entire body froze. His paws, they are much tinier than they're suppose to be! He was just getting used to those big paws of his, which he knew belonged to a tiger. And now he was staring at almost jet black paws with flint claws. He almost felt his heart in his throat, what the hell was going on? Quickly, the male got up onto his new paws, and found himself running over to a small puddle, to see his reflection.
Instead of a tiger staring back at him, a melanistic bobcat with magnificent blue eyes was. "What the hell?" He found himself retorting out as he stepped back from the puddle, trying to process this all together. When he stepped back, he noticed his black pawpads, that had his flame alchemy arrays carved into, which was the same color as his eyes. His appearance somehow changed, it reminded him of that homunculus Envy. But he knew he wasn't like that thing- he wasn't stealing someone's appearance. He didn't even intend to turn out like this, he had no idea that it was due to a power of his, that he didn't know he possessed. Shapeshifting.
Roy managed to turn himself into a melanistic bobcat, and now there's no going back.

There were quite a few perks about seeing auras, honestly. For one thing, it gave him an instant read on people; sure, one's aura couldn't tell you everything important, but Bastille was a good judge of character strictly because of those auras. They gave convenient general impressions, frequently offered vague indicators of moods, revealed certain information such as state of existence and whether or not someone hosted multiple souls... all of that, and he was rarely taken aback by shapeshifters. After all, he could literally see the true person behind the new body, which is why he didn't look particularly alarmed when he stumbled upon a foreign creature in their midst.
"New trick?" he drawled as he came to a stop, ignoring the headache that was plaguing him as he eyed Roy with disinterest. After a beat, he supplied in a vaguely bored tone, "Looks like you're discovering quite a few of those recently, Roy." Yes, that was a reference to his fight with Beck. Yes, he was subtly reminding him that he had failed to kill the leader. Again. Because he was an asshole, and also didn't like Roy.

In her time on this earth, she had experienced something like this. She had once possessed the power to shapeshift, but it had done her no good. She'd been stuck in two different bodies on two separate occasions. Needless to say, it wasn't fun.
The white feline forced a smile to her lips and dispelled the look of concern. Best to behave with optimism, wasn't it? Surely Roy would need this. "Are you stuck?" she questioned, trying to remain calm. However, her voice betrayed her worry.
