sour patch kids — o, wkly task - ghostpact - 04-25-2018

A firework show sounded fun, but he was a little peeved he didn't know how to pull that off. He still had no access to fire via a lighter and he definitely had no cool powers like everyone else seemed to have. It was gonna take a bit to get things together for this display, but he would do it. He was glad he started the search in the late morning because fireworks always looked best at night and that gave him plenty of time to set up. The fireworks, funny enough, were the easier of the two requirements to find. There was a box of them tucked into a closet and he dragged those out. The very first thing that caught his eye were the few smoke bombs piled in the corner and he quickly swiped those out, storing those in his room for a later time. He could definitely use those for himself. The rest were pretty typical fountains, roman candles, sparklers and of course skyrockets.

It took him the rest of the day to actually find a lighter. (At least a working one. The first one was dead.) Which, he was definitely sure he wouldn't be able to find one because he had looked for one before and had no luck. When he found the thing sitting in the dust, he was skeptically. He immediately shuffled over and stamped both front paws on it. Getting both buttons pressed at the same time was a little difficult considering it wasn't built for a cat, but he heard the click and he smiled at the small flame it produced. "Sick!" Grabbing the handle in his mouth, he spun and ran back out to where he'd set the fireworks.

With his lighter in the box, he dragged it out to the Pebble Coast. It was the safest being by the water and didn't put the Observatory in too much danger. He had a little extra time as the sun began to dip below the horizon and grabbed some snacks, setting thme away from his display on some blankets. Marshmellows and popcorn and whatever. On a last minute decision, he grabbed some paint and painted a red arrow on some cardboard pointing toward the shore by the Obsveratory entrance. Back at Pebble Shore, the sun had just set and he set off the first skyrocket. Hopefully that plus the sign grabbed everyone's attention.

[div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 530px; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]Suiteheart had not quite gotten the hang of where everything was in the Ascendant's territory. It was something she hated to admit, so that was why she was wandering around now. She wanted to familiarize herself with this place. Everything was so new. It was difficult, too, as this territory was so expansive. But she would try.

The white feline trekked onward, making mental note of landmarks big and small. Her journey had lasted about an hour or so when she came upon ImmortalHD. The female arched an eyebrow at the scene laid out before her. Confusion muddied her baby blue eyes until she remember the task she had given HD. Blue eyes now glittered with excitement, and she scurried closer to see the show.

"Dude, you're pretty fuckin' amazing," she purred once she was in earshot. She grinned brightly as she gazed around at the snacks and blankets and, of course, the tons of fireworks he had found. Man, the Ascendants were really outdoing themselves with these kickass task performances.

A firework show sounded fun but dangerous, in Luna's opinion. So she never really had the desire to touch one or even light one before it went into the sky.

The female had noticed HD looking around most of the day and in her curiosity, she had stay a good distance behind the other to see what he had been up to. Now she felt exhausted, so the Observer would take a seat and watch the fireworks.

Fireworks sounded like the last thing that Bastille's headache needed, frankly. But three people he actually liked seemed to be gathered for the god awful show, and maybe, just maybe, they would actually be enough to dull his sour mood. Besides -- avoiding loud shit in the name of these fucking plagues was just giving into their brutality. Bast was sick of rolling over for his headaches, allowing them to dominate his life... Perhaps it was dramatic, but the bengal was getting real fucking sick of the damned things.

And so his new approach was just to ignore them. To plow on, temple throbbing, and pretend that everything was completely fucking normal and he wasn't fraying at the edges from lack of sleep and pent up energy. Nope. Everything was perfectly fucking peachy in Bast's life right now, thanks.

"Sick," he provided, eloquently, as he plopped down beside Imm. He seemed a little morose, as if maybe he wasn't fighting back his murderous migraine that badly, but after a beat he was shoving at Imm's shoulder playfully. "Not bad, Immy."

Immortal looked over his shoulder at Suite, then grinned and shrugged, "What can I say? I'm just that good." He lit another firework before glancing at Bast and bumping him back. "Thanks." He looked up as the firework exploded, sending colors over the sky above them. "Help yourselves to the snacks, there's a lot of cool fireworks I wanna show off." He grabbed the lighter in his mouth and bounded over to one of the fountains he'd found, lighting it and quickly back-peddling as it began to spew different colored sparks.

Re: sour patch kids — o, wkly task - imperia - 05-05-2018

[div style="max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt;"]Fireworks. What are those? Some sort of fire show? Does someone swallow flame or leap through a ring of fire? All these thoughts race through the doe's mind as she gracefully maneuvers her way across the pebbled shores towards the group of creatures in the distance. Imperia is not sure how old she is, but she knows that time passes differently for fae so she must be decades older than most of these creature (she certainly doesn't feel like it). And yet, she has never before heard of fireworks. The ethereal doe moves silently, like a memory of someone who has already walked this path. Imperia spots two people she recognizes: Bastille and Suiteheart. Bast is the closest, so she considers taking a seat beside him before she remembers his discomfort at her joining. Believing that it was she who made him uncomfortable, the girl settles on the ground beside Suite. "Hello," she greets softly, flashing everyone, including Bastille, a warm smile before she directs her attention to the fireworks display.

Argentium eyes immediately lock upon the dazzling array of light and color. "Wow..." she mumurs, completely in awe. The loud booms and crackles make her flinch every time, but Peri ignores it as best as she can. "I don't think I've ever seen anything so beautiful.." Imperia might be hundreds of years old, but she looks like am infant experiencing life for the very first time. Normally, the girl shies away from thunderous noises, but the beauty makes it all worth it.
