If I smile with my teeth, would you believe me? -- open - tikki - 01-25-2019 [align=center][div style="width:60%;overflow:auto;font-family:verdana;font-size:11px;text-align:justify"]There would have been a time, a long time ago, when seeing something such as a lion walking down the old abandoned tracks of a train would be seen to be rather odd, though it seemed as though in the time that was of now, it was a rather common thing to see, something to expect from time to time, and something that was not as odd as some might believe to think, as stranger things had happened before. Izulu was currently walking down the old abandoned train tracks, his paws sloshing in the water, disgust written on his face with each step, though slowly he got used to the damp wetness that with what he walked on was feeling, and eventually the disgust faded and turned to content. Of course, he'd rather not have his feet wet in general, but at least now the initial feeling of something being wrong was gone, and instead was replaced with something more serene. He had found the train tracks and decided to follow them to the island - and the wall - that was now before him, so it was simply his own fault that his feet were wet in the first place. He was just glad he wasn't afraid of water, and simply didn't like it when it was covering him. Upon discovering there was a wall in his way, Izulu had been half tempted to turn around and try somewhere else, try to go around or even just leave and never return - it seemed like a dead end after all - but instead of doing that, he simply decided to sit down and look over the looming thing, eyes rolling for a moment before he noticed the long ribbon on the side, bells and all. Standing back up, he would pad over towards the bells leaning forward and grasping them with his teeth before quickly yanking down, waiting as he heard the echo of the bell to see if someone would come. Re: If I smile with my teeth, would you believe me? -- open - Masie - 01-25-2019 Outside nearby the foliage of the wall just outside of sight from the tracks was a small stretch of beach which she was very familiar with due to having lived near the border since she was hatched. Taking an opportunity she had slipped away from the misery of every day and sprinted for this secluded beach, deciding to just float in the water's of it for about an hour before the sound of chiming bells brought her mind back. Well, the bells and her growling stomach. Was that edible?! No considering it rang those things it was likely a joiner which meant she shouldn't try to eat it even if she was about willing to eat anything at this point. Ever since the lava? She had even more trouble feeding herself than normal. From somewhere shortly behind the lion a chittering sound would be heard as an amber eyed and brown feathered raptor walked towards him. Hopefully the creature understood to speak, as she could not properly talk at least not in their tongue, it was frustrating. "Hello?" The lion would speak out, head tilting slightly in curiosity before he spoke once more. "My name is Izulu, do you have a name?" He wasn't even sure at this point if the raptor could speak, or even understand him. He was hopeful though. Of course, she was still young so she still couldn't take on something of the lions size without risking getting hurt so she didn't ever try. Hearing his name, the creature nodded softly chittering out but not bothering with actual chittered words knowing he wouldn't understand them. Regardless of how much the young female wished to speak like the others, her vocal cords had so far proved incapable of the task. With goldie currently handling things, the raptor began to circle bobbing her head occasionally as she sniffed acquainting herself more with the males scent and features. When she spoke and said where they were, he would put it in memory. The Typhoon? That name sounded weird to him, though he supposed that most of the places around here sounded odd in his own mind, considering he only ever heard them in passing. "I was searching for a place to stay, maybe make a home, and when I saw the railroad tracks I decided to follow out of curiosity." He would speak, tail idly moving behind him before he opened his maw once more. "If there is room enough for me, I would like to ask if I could stay here, in the Typhoon. Of course I can help with hunting and such while I'm here as well, even if I only decide to stay for a short time." Though at this point in time he was looking for somewhere to stay permanently. He wasn't going to get too attached though if he could help it, just in case. |
