shelter from the storm / snowed in event - clarence a. - 01-20-2019
//this is a just a short lil event but if you want to expand it to your other threads/posts feel free! Basically they're just all snowed in bc of a storm that came in quickly so there's just lil activities set up for everyone to take part in!
Clarence had noticed it rolling in and he'd made sure to call everyone back. They had enough food to stay in and he didn't think there'd be any long term issues other than maybe getting sick of each other or actual sickness spreading. He'd made sure to clean everything as thouroughly as possible before everything was locked up, though, so he was hoping to avoid that. As for the boredom, he'd set up a few different stations. There was one with hot drinks (the kettles of this generation were truly wonderful) such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, another with some coloring books and crayons, and, of course, one station that had some movies playing. Specifically, the musicals that Orpheys had given him. He loved those musicals. He made sure to only put on the ones he felt were appropriate for the children as well, which meant they were mostly the animated ones with the castles, which was more than okay with him. He had another section with music and he had candy all over the place. It was perfect.
It also looked like he'd tried to make some sort of baked goods, but those were burnt beyond recognition. Still, he tried his best, and that was all anyone could really expect, right. "Hello everyone! Due to the weather conditions, I've decided it's best to stay indoors but, as you can see, I've set out a few activities for us all to partake in. If you need anything or have any sort of health concern, please come see me. Otherwise, feel free to spend some time with your fellow ascendants and take part in some of the activities that've been laid out," he called.

Cold. He'd always hated the cold, and now was certainly no exception- trapping him in here with nothing to do but watch idiot sing song movies and break his teeth on chars of what might have been cookies! It was beyond forgivable. There were arts and crafts, too, but Kira hardly gave it a second glance. Instead, he chose to despair over by the tea kettles, eyeing them with dreary caution. The tea blends that had been arranged didn't look terrible. He could tell that Clarence had tried, and that was something he appreciated, but there would always be a finer blend, a more beautiful teacup, or more pure water. Nothing was ever good enough for him. He was a snob through and through, as much as he tried to hide it and live his life more similarly to others' lives.
Kira maneuvered around the candy (sweets made your teeth rot) and reached for a packet of green tea with mint, nabbing it with his claws and dragging it closer to himself. He then fiddled with the handle of the kettle until he could accurately pour the hot water into his cup, did so, and dropped his tea bag in. Now he would simply have to wait for it to steep before he could break from the ranks of the party and drink it without interruption.
This would... likely be a long few minutes.
