SUNHAVEN — HELION — FEMALE — BORDER COLLIE — PLAYED BY KICKSIE !

When Bucky had first promoted her to Warden, she thought that she would've had more time. Time to grow up a bit and to learn to take things more seriously. It wasn't enough time. Bucky had informed her that he was stepping down, and that she had to take his place as helion. She really didn't understand the reasons which the feline had for not wanting to lead. They seemed rather personal, as he appeared to have doubts about leading for deeper reasons, and Bex knew that she shouldn't pressure him into spilling all his feelings about it to her, no matter how much she wanted to convince him to continue leading. Taking on a lot of responsibility all of the sudden was something that Bex was not prepared for, but she was going to try to roll with it. It wasn't what she considered fun, but she knew that there were times when she had to leave the fun behind and take things seriously. And even though it wasn't going to be fun, Bex wanted to take leading seriously. Maybe she would still be able to have fun from time to time, but now was not the time for that. Now was the time to break the news to the rest of Sunhaven.

The collie swiftly made her way toward the fountain - the very place where meetings had always been held by Bucky, and before him, by Marina. Now it was Bex's turn to call the group together by the fountain. The canine took a deep breath as she seated herself down, finally calling out to everyone. "Sunhaven, gather for a meeting!" She howled out, gazing upon the crowd that began to grow in front of her. Oddly enough, she didn't feel as nervous as she thought she would've. But that was rather normal for her, to not feel nervous. She was a bit confused about how she had even managed to work her way up to this position, but she was beginning to accept it. Maybe she was a little nervous, but it certainly wasn't enough to hold her back. She was sure that the Sunhaveners were probably confused, as they expected Bucky to typically be doing this. She knew that she'd have to clear that up quickly, and so as the crowd grew larger, she began to give them an explanation. "Bucky has stepped down, but he plans to still remain in Sunhaven. I'm taking his place as Helion." Well, she sure hoped that they would all be cool with this. She wouldn't blame them if they ended up disappointed, though. Quite honestly, she wouldn't have ever expected herself to be leader, but here she was.

ARISIDE LANECES
✯ — GIVE ME A CHANCE TO CATCH MY BREATH

a roar of approval came from one of the more quiet moments, ariside, voicing up her opinion, "You got this Bex! Dont be afraid to lean on your group for help!" not that she was any good at giving help, considering the dead stand her relationships had fallen into. oh well. sometimes you just had to be a ruthless cold hearted asshole. climb the ladders of society? not her style. supporting those thrust into positions they didnt necessarily want? yeah, that was.

vocal support was all she could give at the moment, going back and forth between the rosebloods and sunhaven, checking on certain members and keeping a passageway upon. she expected that someday soon she might be told to pick her alliance. at that time? time to pack up shop and move out.

she didn't know the current situations everyone dealed with, she had her own demons to conquer before she could look deeply into being some type of guru for others. who was she kidding? that was never going to happen. but she knew that she ought to offer her shoulder to bex, offer a solid place to lean on when the collie needed it, because she had some experience herself with filling the shoes of the ones before her. she wanted to help support the new helion, in any that she could.

That's why when he heard the voice of someone other than Bucky loudly in an announcement tone, the male pad over anyway, head tilting slightly to the side as he listened to the short amount of words that she spoke at first, eyes blinking in curiosity and confusion. Why was Bucky stepping down though? He wanted to know, but he supposed he wouldn't get his answer, not soon anyway.

Looking over towards Kade as he spoke, the male simply nod his head once in agreement before looking back towards Bex, waiting to see if something else would be said or not.

God, Buckingham can only hope that Bex isn't too mad at him for stepping down. Bucky didn't step down due to plans to suddenly leave Sunhaven, in fact leaving Sunhaven didn't even cross his mind. Rather, his worries of a potential relapse that went over the edge urged him to do it. One can even say that Stryker's threatening note and manipulation attempt made the nervous thoughts even worse. If Stryker managed to succeed with me as Helion, Sunhaven would've been done for, He thought grimly, as he silently made his way over to the meeting area. Bucky feared that if Stryker succeeded with his plans as Bucky as Helion, the Soldier might've turned it's entire clan over to the enemy. That would've been disastrous.

It felt a little weird that he wasn't the one hosting the meeting, but in the same time he felt relieved. He felt more comfortable with Bex, as she didn't have a mind that could easily turn on her. If Stryker and the Pitt continues to go after me, at least I'll be a Sunbearer. He thought as his bushy tail wrapped around his paws, eyes landing on Bex.

[ rushed at end, sorry!! ]

[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 50%; font-family: georgia; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -1px;"] Quite honestly, Bex was not expecting that sort of reaction. Sure, some were likely confused about why Bucky had stepped down and would miss him as leader, but it was nice for once for Bex to not be such a disappointment for once. It felt good. Even Ariside had shouted out some words of encouragement and support to her, which made her smile. Once a large enough crowd had gathered among her, she went on to give the announcements, hoping that she wouldn't manage to screw anything up. Still, she made no promises. "First of all - rank changes. Everyone is demoted, and the Hearthkeeper and Solbinder ranks are being demolished." Bex couldn't help but frown a little, as she didn't necessarily want to demote everyone, but it was necessary. As for the abolishment of ranks, they simply hadn't enough members to keep the position of Hearthkeeper. It seemed unnecessary. And getting rid of Solbinders meant that anyone could learn and practice healing, and she thought that might leave the group better off if more than just the Solbinders were allowed to heal. "Clarence, the Ascendants' leader, and I have agreed on an alliance between our groups." What had happened to cause conflict between all of them was officially put behind them now, and Bex hoped that they would be able to move forward and benefit from this alliance. "Along with that, they have invited us to a truth or dare event, so make sure to attend if you're interested! The Typhoon has also invited us to a potluck." That seemed to be it for events, and now there really wasn't anything left to cover. It was a short first meeting, that's for sure, but she had a feeling that once they all adjusted to the new changes, more things would happen. "That's it - meeting dismissed!"
